Ufficiale: TNA vs. WWE il 4 Gennaio!
Durante l'Ultimate Fighter Finale, Joe Roganha intervistato Hulk Hogan, il quale ha annunciato che Lunedì 4 Gennaio andrà in onda uno speciale Live di 3 ore in competizione con WWE Raw.
Dixie Carter è apparsa on screen ma non ha parlato.
Lo show inizierà alle ore 8 PM Eastern, mente Raw, ad oggi, avrebeb inizio alle 8:15 PM Eastern.

Hulk Hogan’s First Live Appearance On Spike TV’s “TNA iMPACT” Will Be In A Special 3-Hour Live Episode Monday, January 4 At 8:00 PM ET/PT
The biggest name in professional wrestling history, Hulk Hogan, will make his first live appearance on Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling’s “TNA iMPACT!” in a live 3-hour special on Spike TV Monday, January 4, 2010 at 8:00PM ET/PT. Hogan and TNA President Dixie Carter attended “The Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights” Finale in Las Vegas where Hogan made the announcement in an interview with Joe Rogan.
“TNA iMPACT!” will be going against “WWE Monday Raw” on USA Network, the first time two wrestling companies have broadcast live head-to-head since the “Monday Night Wars” in the late 1990’s between WWE and WCW. This “iMPACT!” special will broadcast live from the TNA iMPACT! Zone at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fl.
Hogan’s first appearance inside the six-sided ring of TNA Wrestling will follow weeks of speculation after Hogan and Carter announced their partnership on October 27 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Hogan has hinted in various media interviews that he’ll have multiple surprises in store for TNA Wrestling fans.
“I knew when I signed with TNA, that it would be important to make a statement with the first episode. Going head-to-head on January 4th, makes the statement loud and clear: Game on!” Hogan said.
“TNA is kicking off 2010 in the biggest way possible with the biggest name in the history of our sport. Hulk Hogan is a pop culture icon, and his arrival will change not only TNA, but the entire professional wrestling landscape. We’re firing that first shot,” Carter said.
Joining Hogan for the three-hour live “iMPACT!” will be TNA World Heavyweight Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe, “The Boss” Bobby Lashley and “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan.
“TNA iMPACT!” will resume its normal timeslot on Thursday, January 7th at 9:00 PM ET/PT with an encore viewing of the live “iMPACT!” special.

Umaga è deceduto
Edward "Umaga"Fatu è morto verso le 6 p.m. Eastern time dopo aver subito un secondo attacco di cuore in ospedale. Aveva 36 anni.

WXW C4's Statement On The Passing Of Eki "Umaga" Fatu
12/04/09 - On behalf of the Anoai Family and front office of WXW C4 it is our sad duty to announce that earlier today, December 4th, we lost another member of not only our wrestling family, but immediate family.
Eki "Umaga" Fatu passed away today in Houston at the age of 36. While we mourn the passing of Eki, we also remember all the good times that we were able to share with him and the smiles on the millions of fans faces around the world when he walked to the ring to do what he loved most: wrestle.
During this difficult time, we please ask for the fans and the press to respect the privacy of his family during this tough time. When there is more information to be made public, his family will do so. The worst thing that could happen would be to have false information about this horrible situation out there, only to make the situation even worse.
We'd like to thank everyone for their sympathy and prayers and ask that everyone celebrate the life of Eki Fatu.

1. Amazing Red pinned Suicide with the sunset flip power bomb to keep the X Division title. Other than one messed up Japanese arm drag spot, the match work was solid and a great opener. Suicide was incredibly over with multiple chants going on during the match.
2. Amazing Kong & Hamada beat the Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) when Kong pinned Rayne (I think) with the implant buster. Mostly a comedy match at the beginning because Kong started the match for her team and neither Rayne nor Sky wanted to be in with her. So it was a cat and mouse game of tagging back and forth between them. Eventually, they got to the match and I was praying for them to go back to the back and forth tagging comedy again. They are giving Kelly Kelly, Maria, Eve and Layla a run for the money in awful wrestling. It boggles the mind that Lacey Von Erich is so much worse. Speaking of which, she wasn't there.
3. Abyss pinned Dr. Stevie with the black hole slam. Stevie did some mic work noting that the crowd needed some therapy, but he was going to give Abyss his final session first. Decent match for what it was.
4. Kurt Angle pinned Nigel...err...Desmond Wolfe with an Angle slam after he blocked the Tower of London. Solid match, arguably the best of the night, although it felt a little short.

5. Beer Money and Matt Morgan beat World Elite of British Invasion and Sheik Abdul Bashir when Beer Money used the DWI on Magnus. World Elite did mic work running down Portland specifically and New England in general. Beer Money came out and got lots of chants going back and forth in the crowd. It must have been more than 10 minutes before the match started. The first move of the match was an attempt at a hip toss, which Magnus blew completely, knocking Roode off his feet and barely getting over. Roode got on the mic and asked the crowd if they thought Magnus "f-ed up", which started a "You f-ed up" chant right out of the old ECW but without the profanity. Magnus didn't seem too bent out of shape about it and Roode was smiling so it might have been pre-planned. Storm kept getting beers from the crowd during the match. Morgan looked really good in the ring and I still can't figure out how McMahon missed the boat on him.
6. Main event was A.J. Styles defending the TNA World Heavyweight Title against Daniels. They had a really good match, in the 3 1/2 to 4 star range. They used all the usual moves and everything flowed smoothly and built well. Finish was Daniels going for the BME, Styles rolling out of the way and Daniels landing on his feet. Daniels went off the ropes and tried a hurancanrana which Styles blocked and hit the Styles Clash for the pin.
Afterwards, they had an autograph session at ringside with a lot of the talent and people could get pics taken with Styles in the ring posing with the belt (for $20).
All in all a good show. Much better than the Smackdown house show we had in September.

TNA-Hogan-Bischoff news
Hogan e Bischoff continuano a riferire ai wrestlers che hanno contattato indipendentemente, che la TNA si sposterà al Lunedì partendo dal 4 Gennaio o perlomeno che il 4 Gennaio Impact andrà in onda Live di Lunedì. Nè la TNA nè Spike TV hanno confermato ciò. Hogan ha riferito a varie persone la sua volontà di eliminare il 6 sided ring. Sono molto ottimisti sulla possibilità dell'arrivo di Rob Van Dam e che ci siano buone possibilità anche per Ric Flair.
Altri dati sui rating dell'ultimo Impact
Impact on 11/26 did a 0.91 rating and 1.3 million homes. This was the Thanksgiving night tournament. The show did a 0.59 in Males 18-34 (very low) and 0.83. In Males 35-49.
In the segment-by-segment, Suicide vs. Desmond Wolfe and Pope vs. Kurt Angle lost 29,000 viewers. Homicide vs. Robert Roode gained 86,000 viewers. The women’s Battle Royal gained 214,000 viewers to a 1.00 rating which was the high point of the show. Bobby Lashley vs. Wolfe lost 14,000 viewers. Angle vs. Roode lost 57,000 viewers. The A.J. Styles/Daniels interview segment gained 14,000 viewers. And the Lashley vs. Roode tournament final lost 43,000 viewers and did a 0.93.

Edward Fatu, 36, è stato portato con urgenza all'ospedale in Houston in condizioni descritte come critiche da un amico di lunga data.

TNA Update
Nel segmento andato in onda nell'ultimo Impact e che ha visto protagonisti Foley e Steiner mentre discutevano su chi fosse lo "smartest man", il nome pronunciato da Foley e che è stato bippato era di Brian Gewirtz, l'head writer di Raw. Dio solo sa il perchè di ciò.
Angle ha fatto molti complimenti a Desomond Wolfe dopo il loro match in PPV.
Come già scritto, la TNA ha tenuto un drug test a sorpresa prima degli ultimi tapings. Nel precedente drug test il 25% dei test hanno dato esito positivo a varie sostanze.
Gli agents sono molto soddisfatti del lavoro che sta svolgendo Madison Rayne, dicendo che sta migliorando ed imparando più velocemente delle altre knockouts. La lottatrice meno apprezzata, guarda un pò, è Lacey Von Erich.
Il complesso abitativo in cui risiede Awesome Kong ha preso fuoco il 23 Novembre. Per sua fortuna il suo appartamento non è stato colpito dall'incendio.
I piani per la direzione a lungo termine da quando arriverà Hogan prevedono la creazione di due team separati, uno capitanato da Hogan e uno da Foley. Inizialmente Dixie Carter avrebbe dovtuo avere una parte importante nella storyline, ma dopo varie critiche che le sono giunte da vari circoli, lei ha preso la decisione di diminuire il suo coinvolgimento dai piani.
Kristal Lashley, in procinto di un turn heel, non si sa se coinvolgerà anche Bobby ed in che forma, interpreterà il ruolo della snob nei confronti del pro wrestling. Il suo personaggio guarderà praticamente il wrestling dall'alto in basso, considerando invece le MMA un settore d'alta classe.
Per quanto riguarda Sid Vicious, secondo fonti interne alla TNA, nessuno sa alcunchè di un suo possibile arrivo apparte il suo comunicato via web. Le possibilità sono due: ha inventato tutto per cercare l'attenzione della WWE, oppure lui fa parte di quella lista di wrestlers ( vari big names nella lista) contattati indipendentemente da Bischoff. All'interno della TNA, comunque, non lo vedono di buon occhio. Solo Dutch Mantell cercò di contattarlo anni fa per un one night only.

3.2. Come nelle ultime settimane il dato scoraggiante è il calo di telespettatori nell'avanzamento dello show. 3.28 nella prima ora e 3.08 nella seconda.

Discussioni in WWE che potrebbero cambiare il volto della compagnia!
Nell'ultimo periodo ci sono stati vari meetings fra la WWE ed il network SyFy in cui si è discusso di cancellare il brand ECW e mandare in onda al suo posto un altro show che sarebbe composto da nuovi talenti. I dirigenti di SyFy pensano che il programma ECW non sia forte abbastanza e non sono contenti dei ratings attuali. L'attuale accordo scade in Dicembre. I wrestlers che oggi compongono il brand ECW saranno perciò spostati a Raw e Smackdown, mentre alcuni potrebbero addirittura essere rilasciati. Questo cambiamento comunque non avrà luogo fino ai primi mesi del nuovo anno.
