Fonti TNA dichiarano che nonostante la firma di Lashley con la Strikeforce, il wrestler continuerà a far parte della compagnia.

Bobby Lashley firma per la Strikeforce
Bobby Lashley ha firmato un multi year deal con la promotion MMA Strikeforce; il suo debutto avverrà il 30 gennaio in quel di Sunrise, Florida.
Al momento non si sa che effetti avrà ciò sul suo stato in TNA.

TNA Update
Ad oggi, la puntata di Lunedì 4 Gennaio verrà mandata in replica dalle 9 pm Giovedì 7 Gennaio.
Lo speciale del 4 Gennaio, secondo fonti di Spike TV e della TNA, non coinvolgerà altre date, ma è pacifico dire che se i ratings dovessero essere buoni, uno slot di 2 ore al Lunedì sera sarebbe più che fattibile.
Nonostante la TNA e Spike TV asseriscano quanto riportato sopra, Hogan in questo periodo ha recrutato varie persone dicendo loro che ha firmato con la TNA solo dopo aver ottenuto un accordo con Spike TV e la TNA stessa per 2 anni garantiti per uno show al Lunedì sera su Spike TV. Si potrebbe pensare che siano solo parole usate da Hogan per convincere le persone, ma tenendo conto che sia la TNA che Spike TV smentirono categoricamente il possibile show del 4 Gennaio, nonostante fosse nei piani già da tempo, non è da escludere che Hogan dica il vero. Almeno stavolta.
Alcune "volontà" di Hogan:
Hogan vorrebbe eliminare il six sided ring e tornare al classico a quattro lati.
Vuole che ci sia molto impegno nel mettere sotto contratto alcuni big names, tipo RVD e Jeff Hardy, con l'intenzione di pagarli inizialmente per una schedule di 5 giorni lavorativi al mese. Nonostante i seri problemi legali per Hardy, ci sono tre promotions, incluso un'importante promotion internazionale, che vorrebbero metterlo sotto contratto. Apparentemente Hardy vuole prendersi del tempo per guarire da vari acciacchi e le persone a lui vicine asseriscono che se tornerà sul ring lo farà alla WWE.
Hogan vorrebbe che Impact non si svolgesse più all'Impact Zone ma in arene più grandi. Probabilmente ignorando i vari e grossi problemi che la TNA ha tutt'oggi nel riempire arene da migliaia di fans.
Sting ha accettato di tornare nel 2010 e farà parte dello show del 4 Gennaio.
Flair ha parlato più volte con il managment TNA dal suo ritorno dal tour in Australia, ma ad oggi non è stato trovato l'accordo. Questa settimana è previsto un altro incontro e la volontà della TNA è di mettere nero su bianco prima della fine della settimana.
Dal tour Australiano sono stati notati i matches molto belli fra Shannon Moore e Matt Cross.
Ken Anderson pare volgia dedicarsi alla carriera di attore.

TNA Impact on 12/3 did a 1.15 rating and 1.3 million viewers. The show did a 0.72 in Males 18-34 and 0.68 in Males 35-49. TNA rarely does better with the younger audience than the older audience.
In the segment-by-segment, Alex Shelley vs. Doug Williams gained 11,000 viewers. Homicide vs. Suicida and that horrible ODB talk show segment with Tara gained 79,000 viewers and did the show’s peak rating at 1.27. Jesse Neal vs. Pope D’Angelo Dinero lost 57,000 viewers. Eric Young & Kevin Nash vs. Beer Money, the Foley interview after the match, and the Bobby & Kristal Lashley interviews also lost 57,000 viewers. Abyss vs. Daniels stayed even. The Dixie Carter interview with Mike Tenay lost 113,000 viewers and it was really the most hyped thing on the show. The Hamada vs. Sarita and Kurt Angle vs. Raven & Dr. Stevie matches (teased as Angle vs. Desmond Wolfe most of the show) lost 34,000 viewers and was the show’s lowest rated segment at 1.04. The rating was okay, but the pattern of general decline was not a positive. WWE Superstars on 12/2 did a 0.9 rating.

When interviewed by Arda Ocal and Corey Erdman of the "Right After Wrestling" program on SIRIUS 98, Hulk Hogan predicted that Nielsen ratings would triple to a 3.0 on his debut appearance on TNA Impact on Monday January 4. Hogan went on to list names such as AJ Styles and Matt Morgan as guys with "something there" and that he will look to mold and "bring to life".

John Cena potrebbe saltare il Raw del 4 Gennaio
John Cena parteciperà alla parata della Fiesta Bowl in Arizona e lancerà la monetina per l'inizio della partita che avrà inizio alle 9 pm eastern. Perciò sarà praticamente impossibile che Cena possa apparire a Raw se non in un cameo verso fine puntata.

Durante l'Ultimate Fighter Finale, Joe Roganha intervistato Hulk Hogan, il quale ha annunciato che Lunedì 4 Gennaio andrà in onda uno speciale Live di 3 ore in competizione con WWE Raw.
Dixie Carter è apparsa on screen ma non ha parlato.
Lo show inizierà alle ore 8 PM Eastern, mente Raw, ad oggi, avrebeb inizio alle 8:15 PM Eastern.

Hulk Hogan’s First Live Appearance On Spike TV’s “TNA iMPACT” Will Be In A Special 3-Hour Live Episode Monday, January 4 At 8:00 PM ET/PT
The biggest name in professional wrestling history, Hulk Hogan, will make his first live appearance on Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling’s “TNA iMPACT!” in a live 3-hour special on Spike TV Monday, January 4, 2010 at 8:00PM ET/PT. Hogan and TNA President Dixie Carter attended “The Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights” Finale in Las Vegas where Hogan made the announcement in an interview with Joe Rogan.
“TNA iMPACT!” will be going against “WWE Monday Raw” on USA Network, the first time two wrestling companies have broadcast live head-to-head since the “Monday Night Wars” in the late 1990’s between WWE and WCW. This “iMPACT!” special will broadcast live from the TNA iMPACT! Zone at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fl.
Hogan’s first appearance inside the six-sided ring of TNA Wrestling will follow weeks of speculation after Hogan and Carter announced their partnership on October 27 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Hogan has hinted in various media interviews that he’ll have multiple surprises in store for TNA Wrestling fans.
“I knew when I signed with TNA, that it would be important to make a statement with the first episode. Going head-to-head on January 4th, makes the statement loud and clear: Game on!” Hogan said.
“TNA is kicking off 2010 in the biggest way possible with the biggest name in the history of our sport. Hulk Hogan is a pop culture icon, and his arrival will change not only TNA, but the entire professional wrestling landscape. We’re firing that first shot,” Carter said.
Joining Hogan for the three-hour live “iMPACT!” will be TNA World Heavyweight Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe, “The Boss” Bobby Lashley and “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan.
“TNA iMPACT!” will resume its normal timeslot on Thursday, January 7th at 9:00 PM ET/PT with an encore viewing of the live “iMPACT!” special.

Umaga è deceduto
Edward "Umaga"Fatu è morto verso le 6 p.m. Eastern time dopo aver subito un secondo attacco di cuore in ospedale. Aveva 36 anni.

WXW C4's Statement On The Passing Of Eki "Umaga" Fatu
12/04/09 - On behalf of the Anoai Family and front office of WXW C4 it is our sad duty to announce that earlier today, December 4th, we lost another member of not only our wrestling family, but immediate family.
Eki "Umaga" Fatu passed away today in Houston at the age of 36. While we mourn the passing of Eki, we also remember all the good times that we were able to share with him and the smiles on the millions of fans faces around the world when he walked to the ring to do what he loved most: wrestle.
During this difficult time, we please ask for the fans and the press to respect the privacy of his family during this tough time. When there is more information to be made public, his family will do so. The worst thing that could happen would be to have false information about this horrible situation out there, only to make the situation even worse.
We'd like to thank everyone for their sympathy and prayers and ask that everyone celebrate the life of Eki Fatu.

1. Amazing Red pinned Suicide with the sunset flip power bomb to keep the X Division title. Other than one messed up Japanese arm drag spot, the match work was solid and a great opener. Suicide was incredibly over with multiple chants going on during the match.
2. Amazing Kong & Hamada beat the Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) when Kong pinned Rayne (I think) with the implant buster. Mostly a comedy match at the beginning because Kong started the match for her team and neither Rayne nor Sky wanted to be in with her. So it was a cat and mouse game of tagging back and forth between them. Eventually, they got to the match and I was praying for them to go back to the back and forth tagging comedy again. They are giving Kelly Kelly, Maria, Eve and Layla a run for the money in awful wrestling. It boggles the mind that Lacey Von Erich is so much worse. Speaking of which, she wasn't there.
3. Abyss pinned Dr. Stevie with the black hole slam. Stevie did some mic work noting that the crowd needed some therapy, but he was going to give Abyss his final session first. Decent match for what it was.
4. Kurt Angle pinned Nigel...err...Desmond Wolfe with an Angle slam after he blocked the Tower of London. Solid match, arguably the best of the night, although it felt a little short.
Intermission with Abyss, Suicide and the Beautiful People out signing autographs.
5. Beer Money and Matt Morgan beat World Elite of British Invasion and Sheik Abdul Bashir when Beer Money used the DWI on Magnus. World Elite did mic work running down Portland specifically and New England in general. Beer Money came out and got lots of chants going back and forth in the crowd. It must have been more than 10 minutes before the match started. The first move of the match was an attempt at a hip toss, which Magnus blew completely, knocking Roode off his feet and barely getting over. Roode got on the mic and asked the crowd if they thought Magnus "f-ed up", which started a "You f-ed up" chant right out of the old ECW but without the profanity. Magnus didn't seem too bent out of shape about it and Roode was smiling so it might have been pre-planned. Storm kept getting beers from the crowd during the match. Morgan looked really good in the ring and I still can't figure out how McMahon missed the boat on him.
6. Main event was A.J. Styles defending the TNA World Heavyweight Title against Daniels. They had a really good match, in the 3 1/2 to 4 star range. They used all the usual moves and everything flowed smoothly and built well. Finish was Daniels going for the BME, Styles rolling out of the way and Daniels landing on his feet. Daniels went off the ropes and tried a hurancanrana which Styles blocked and hit the Styles Clash for the pin.
Afterwards, they had an autograph session at ringside with a lot of the talent and people could get pics taken with Styles in the ring posing with the belt (for $20).
All in all a good show. Much better than the Smackdown house show we had in September.
