TNA Impact last night set a TNA viewership record in the key demographic of males 18-34 and 18-49. The show overall scored a 1.34 rating and averaged 1.8 million viewers.

Impact rebounded from the previous week's drop to a 1.18 rating for the final show before the Destination X PPV. The show had been averaging a 1.30 rating since February 19 before the drop.

The key quarter-hour for last night's Impact was in the final quarter hour of the show for the TV main event of Kurt Angle & Sting vs. Mick Foley & Jeff Jarrett. The show peaked with a 1.45 rating for the main event after slipping to a 1.31 rating for the seventh quarter hour.

TNA has reversed the pattern of the first hour being watched more than the second hour. The show started with a 1.30 quarter hour, slipped into the mid-1.20 range, then slowly built to the mid-1.30 level before peaking at the end.

Caldwell's Analysis: Very impressive numbers for TNA, especially going up against the first day of the NCAA tournament last night. To draw that large of a male audience that would have been expected to be watching basketball is a strong sign of building a loyal free TV audience for the product.
