WWE NEWS: Raw TV ratings are in - did The Undertaker give this week's Raw a boost?

WWE Raw on Monday, April 22 scored a 3.14 rating, up from a near-year-low 3.08 rating last week.

Despite the overall rating increasing, the key male demo of males 18-49 was flat vs. last week and the key demo of males 18-34 was down two-tenths of a rating. The key to Raw's ratings increase was interestingly a big jump in teen males to the highest level since February.

On cable TV Monday night, Raw ranked #1 in total viewers, #2 in m18-34 behind the NBA Playoffs on TNT, and #1 among m18-49, #1 among m12-34, and male teens.

- Raw averaged 4.40 million viewers, up six percent from last week's year-low viewership.

Hourly Break Down: 4.19 million first hour viewers (nearly identical to last week), 4.65 million second hour viewers (up 400,000 viewers from last week for Undertaker's in-ring return on Raw), and 4.36 million third hour viewers (up 300,000 viewers from last week).

Raw dropped off from the second to third hour for the 15th consecutive week and 15th out of 16 weeks in 2013.

- Last year's post-WrestleMania Raw from the U.K. scored a 3.08 rating, virtually even with the previous week's 3.10 rating.

Caldwell's Analysis: The Undertaker's presence helped offset the usual drop-off for the rare taped Raw episode from an international location. Whether this week's above-average performance leads to ratings growth remains to be seen, especially because there will not be a sense of urgency to Raw the next few weeks due to the longer-than-usual interval between WrestleMania and the post-Mania PPV.
