- WWE changed their minds on which talk-show segment would host Randy Orton and Big Show. Instead of Chris Jericho's "Highlight Reel," The Miz's "MizTV" segment hosted the Extreme Rules opponents at the top of the show.
The segment set up a six-man tag main event of Randy Orton, Sheamus, and Alberto Del Rio beating Big Show, Mark Henry, and Jack Swagger to promote the Smackdown brand's top three matches at the PPV on Sunday.
- Chris Jericho was shifted from talk-show host to wrestler, defeating Antonio Cesaro in a two-segment singles match to set up his PPV match against Fandango.
- The Shield's Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns defeated The Usos in a tune-up match ahead of their Tag Title challenge at the PPV.
