Although most of it did not appear on the Money in the Bank PPV broadcast, CM Punk was badly busted open by the final ladder shot Paul Heyman gave him during the PPV main event.
Live, the entire right side of Punk's head and face was just covered in blood. WWE medical staff immediately began cleaning him and treating the gash on the floor in order for later shots of him to not look gory.
Punk posted several photos (below) on Twitter showing the before and after of receiving 14 staples. There is also concern he received a concussion, although there's no confirmation either way in that regard.
