RING OF HONOR TELEVISION REPORT: ACH VERSUS EVERETT; TELEVISION TITLE MATCH; ADAM COLE ADDRESSES THE CROWD AFTER LADDER WAR

This week’s show starts off with photos from Ladder War at Supercard of Honor in New Orleans when Adam Cole retained the ROH World Title. We are in New Orleans, Louisiana and your announcers are Kevin ‘French Quarter’ Kelly and Steve ‘12 Rounds’ Corino. Before our first match, the Ring of Honor World Champion Adam Cole makes his way to the ring. He is joined by Matt Hardy. Adam says there is no dispute. There is no doubt. There is only one undisputed Ring of Honor World Champion and his name is Adam Cole . . . Baybay. None of you have any idea what it is like to wake up every morning and go to sleep every night knowing that you are the best in the world but have people still question whether you are the man. Since he became World Champion, he has taken all comers and proven that he cannot be touched. At Ladder War, he went to hell and back to retain his World Title. Jay Briscoe went to hell and stayed there. He beat Jay Briscoe within an inch of his life and he will never be the same again. The shame that Jay Briscoe must have to go home to his daddy and family to say that he could not beat Adam Cole. Michael Bennett beat Jay Briscoe like he has never been beaten before. He has beaten Mark Briscoe like he has never been beaten before. The rumors are true, the Briscoe Brothers will never show their faces in Ring of Honor again. The belt that Jay Briscoe held meant nothing when in his hands, but Adam says that in his hands it means power. He has a title to prove he is the World Champion. The other belt deserves to be on the shoulder of someone who has given so much to Ring of Honor and to professional wrestling. Adam looks at Matt and he gives the belt to Matt for all that Matt has done to him and to Ring of Honor. Matt accepts the belt and he thanks Adam. He says that he is so flattered and honored. He never expected it. Matt says that the belt needs some work and it needs to be renamed. The title should be renamed the Innovative Creator and Originator of a Newfound Industry Champion. It is the ICONIC title for an Iconic Champion. Kevin Steen’s music plays and he has something to say. Steen tells Adam that he just heard him say that he went through hell and back to keep the title. Kevin says that Adam has no idea what hell is. Kevin says that he is the devil. He will make sure that Adam knows exactly what hell is. Hell is in Toronto, Ontario, Canada when you put that title on the line against Kevin Steen. You call yourself the Undisputed Ring of Honor World Champion, but you know that is a lie. In April of last year, he lost that title to Jay Briscoe and he never got a rematch against anyone else. Kevin reminds Adam that he pinned him in the ring two weeks before Adam won the title. Then he earned a title match, but Adam pulled out of a match because he was too hurt to wrestle. Steen says pulling out only works for so long. Eventually you get what’s coming to you and that is in Toronto. He has earned that title shot four times and there is nowhere for Cole to run. This is not personal and he tells Cole no offense because nobody stands between him and his goals. He says that Cole is an obstacle. Cole is offended at being called an obstacle because he is the best wrestler on the planet. He does not care if he faces Steen in his home town of Toronto or he never got his rematch, he will fall just like everybody else. Steen points out he is from Montreal, not Toronto. He says that it is a good thing he is pretty because that brain isn’t working too well. After Ladder War, he cannot blame him so he gives him a pass.
