WWE-Batista Update !!

As we reported on Friday in the Elite section, expectations were that Batista would be finishing up at this week's WWE TVs.

However, we've heard from several people backstage at Extreme Rules that he's intimating he is staying on through the Payback PPV in Chicago after all. We'll know soon enough whether that's actually the plan or if he's trying to obscure the situation.
As I noted in the Elite section, the original plan for Payback was Batista vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE World Heavyweight championship but sources noted that Batista had balked at the idea of losing to Bryan before heading out to promote Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" film. It should be interesting to see what direction he takes heading into the PPV.
