TNA house show report 1-26 Bornemouth, England

the show itself was well attended with all but the top tier of the
building sold out (this was down to view restrictions the staff
informed us). Jeremy borash kicked off the show and did a good job of
pumping up a crowd that was just looking for a reason to pop! he ran
through his speech about backstage passes being handed to the most
vocal fans. at this point British Invasion came out to a standing
ovation and clearly enjoyed the reception. they proceeded to rip up 3
backstage passes and ripped into the uk fans for wanting something for
nothing.the crowd booed them out of the building. JB got back on the
mic and introduced the first match.
amazing red v chris Sabin v suicide

easily the best triple threat match of the year so far! crowd changed
throughout bout and all 3 guys recieved standing ovations at the end.
Winner Chris Sabin.

Lots of AJ signs in crowd. clearly the fact that as things stand Tna
is impossible to see (compared to WWE's blanket coverage) in the uk
meant a handfull had seen the attempted heel turn! a couple of hogan
signs. general conversations seemed to be based on the way tna is
changing into WCW circa '98!

Hebner made his hitman entrance. either a pathetic attempt at humour
or a tribute in bad taste.either way, it just angered the crowd.

Eric Young offered anybody the chance to fight for his global title.
after taunting members of the crowd, Hamada?? came out and was beaten
in a couple of minutes.

JB made a lot of references to the 6 sided ring.

Pope v Rhyno
Rhyno had to get on the mic to get the crowd to turn on him.Rhyno is
still over in a big way in the uk.
Pope win

4 team tag

invasion v beer money v 3D v angle & hernandez.
sadly 2 great matches was turned into a 4 team match giving each guy 2
minutes each to shine!! crowd were so into beer money and angle 3D
were kinda forgotten about!!!
angle slam on Brutus got the win.

3D gave away signed pieces of broken table to 2 young fans and beer
money came back out and worked the crowd well.amazing how over storm
and roode are!
intermission

beautiful people v Taylor Wilde and Sarita?? (name escapes me)

poor match, awful finish with a pathetic looking perfume spray to the
eyes of Taylor. crowd did sing her happy birthday afterwards!

Samoa joe v daniels.

head and shoulders above any other match on the card. intense match
which at times drew winces rather than cheers! joe won the I quit
match with a guillotine choke. awesome spot with daniels sat on a
chair at ringside to be soccer kicked in the face by joe. could of
easily passed as main event.

desmond woolf v aj styles

solid match. Woolf hit aj with tower of London only for aj to get a
foot on the rope.
aj wins and then tells the crowd the reason tna has grown to it's
current level has nothing to do with the fans. just him. chorus of
boos. show ends

as somebody who hasn't regularly watched wrestling in over ten years,
it was clear that tna are blessed with some of the hardest working
guys out there and Joe looks better each time I see him. I only hope
that the new regime don't freeze out the talent that got them to where
they are at today. sadly this was also the view of a lot of people in
attendance!

highlight: Joe v daniels spot with the chair and the kick!

Biggest surprise: how over beer money are with uk fans!!!
