RING OF HONOR LIVE REPORT FROM DANBURY, CT

Live Results from Ring of Honor in Danbury, CT:

-Bobby Fish defeated a guy whose name I didn't catch (it sounded like Pentagon), but he was doing a Greek God gimmick and was billed from Mt Olympus. Bobby Fish wrestled like a million bucks and has gotten himself in amazing shape, and had a better body than the guy who was supposed to be a Greek God. Good opener that Fish won with a leaping Shining Wizard knee.

-Rhett Titus and Kenny King defeated Erick Stevens and Bobby Dempsey. Good old school, Southern style tag match with Titus and King spending the beginning playing cowardly heels who got manhandled until they got a cheap double team shot to take control on Stevens and do some nice double team stuff. Dempsey didn't do too much in the match until Stevens made the hot tag, then he came in and destroyed Titus, but King reversed the Doctorbomb into a rollup with his feet on the ropes for the win.

-Claudio Castagnoli wrestled Brent Albright to a draw. Even match until Claudio got a really nice hotshot to gain control. Claudio had some great heel charisma here. Albright turned the tide with a Roll Of The Dice, but missed a top rope crossbody and Claudio regained control. Albright came back and got Claudio in the Crippler Crossface, Claudio rolled Albright to his back, and Claudio tapped just as the referee counted three on Albright. The referee ruled the match a draw, so Albright challenged Claudio to five more minutes and they had a postmatch brawl, but no overtime.

-Kevin Steen and Jay Briscoe defeated Chris Hero and Eddie Edwards. No Larry Sweeney at ringside. This started off as a wild brawl on the outside before coming back in and settling into a standard tag match. Steen and Briscoe worked pretty well as a team despite spending much of the match mouthing off to one another. Hero and Edwards took control and started going to work on Steen's previously injured knee. Steen made the hot tag and Briscoe came in and cleaned house until Hero turned the tide with some nice strikes, which look better every time I see him. The match came unglued then, with both Edwards and Steen hitting dives to the floor. Mark came to ringside and started arguing with Steen which distracted him, but then Steen and Jay hit a Doomsday Device for the win. Not sure what exactly was going on with Mark and Steen, but it didn't lead to any kind of fight or anything.

Intermission Time

-Bryan Danielson pinned Delirious. Delirious has really tightened up his physique, looking a lot more ripped and tanned than I've seen him look. Mat wrestling to start with Danielson pretty much controlling Delirious until they go to the floor where Jimmy Jacobs distracts Danielson and allows Delirious to nail him from behind and ram him into the guardrail. Back in the ring, Delirious maintained control until Danielson came back with a series of European uppercuts and a cross armbreaker. Delirious hit a pair of panic attacks and Jimmy started yelling at him to go for another one, but the distraction allowed Danielson to recover and get Cattle Mutilation, which Delirious countered into a Cobra Stretch, but Danielson reversed into a small package for the win. Jimmy started berating Delirious and shoving him around, and Delirious responded by shoving Jimmy down, but then they ended up hugging and making up before leaving together.

-Austin Aries and his awful mustache defeated Sami Callahan. Aries cut a great promo before the match about how great he is and how the fans should thank him for making this B-show worth coming to, then started making fun of Callahan and "his brother's auto parts store.". I had no idea Aries had so much personality. They tried mat wrestling early, but Callahan got the advantage and ended up holding his own surprisingly well until Aries sent him to the floor and came off the apron with a double axhandle. Aries works a much more methodical, old school heel style now. Callahan made a very solid comeback until Aries hit the corner dropkick and brainbuster for the win. Callahan got a really good run here, but I didn't buy into him.

-Necro Butcher defeated Brodie Lee in an Anything Goes Streetfight. I love Necro's new music, it's so him. It didn't take long to go to the floor where Necro worked him over with a chair, then tore out part of the guardrail and used that to work Brodie over as well. Necro set up the guardrail in the corner, but Brodie German suplexed Necro onto it then hit a running Yakuza kick in the corner, followed by another slam into the guardrail in the corner and then a big lariat. Necro slammed Brodie off the top and then went to work on him in the corner with literally about 30 punches and chops in the corner before giving Brodie a bulldog on a chair and then a chair bodyslam. Necro missed a senton onto the guardrail and they started going toe to toe when Jimmy and Delirious ran out and attacked Necro. Daizee Haze came out to try and stop Delirious, Delirious shoved her down (popping the crowd), but then Jimmy went for a spear and Necro moved and Jimmy hit Delirious. Necro knocked Jimmy out and then creamed Brodie with a sick chairshot for the win.

-Return date is Friday, July 17.

Four Way for ROH title - ROH champ Nigel McGuinness vs. Jerry Lynn vs. Tyler Black vs. Jimmy Jacobs:

Nigel's arm is heavily taped. After a bunch of tagging in and out with no action, we finally get under way with Tyler and Lynn with a nice little back and forth sequence. Jimmy tagged in and did a sequence with Lynn, but as soon as Jerry tagged out to Tyler, Jimmy ran off and tagged out to Nigel, but then Nigel ran when Tyler tagged out to Lynn. Finally Nigel gained an advantage when he rammed Lynn into the guardrail and went to work on Lynn's arm. Lynn came back, but when he went to suplex Nigel in from the outside, Jimmy grabbed Lynn's ankle from the outside and Nigel pinned Lynn.

Jerry Lynn is eliminated.

After being pinned, Lynn hit an Air Raid Crash on Nigel and Tyler followed it up with a frogsplash and God's Last Gift, but couldn't put Nigel away. After that it turned into a 2-on-1 with Nigel and Jimmy double teaming Tyler. Tyler came back with several big moves on both men until Jimmy took him out with the spear for 2. Jimmy and Nigel tried the suplex leg hook spot again, but the referee caught them and stopped counting. Nigel gave Tyler a Tower of London on the floor and just before he got in, Jimmy dropkicked him through the ropes and Tyler was counted out.

Tyler Black has been eliminated.

Almost immediately, Nigel hit the Jawbreaker Lariat and pinned Jacobs for the win. Nigel McGuinness is still your ROH World Champion.

Jimmy and Tyler brawled after the match, with Delirious running in to attack Tyler and Lynn running out to make the save.

End show.

Really good show, probably one of the best ROH shows I've been to since Gabe Sapolsky left. They finally seem to have figured out the groove of having an entertaining undercard without having to kill themselves.

PWInsider.com's live Ring of Honor coverage will continue tomorrow and Sunday from ROH's first two TV tapings in Philadelphia. Those of you who want to avoid spoilers, beware!

26/02 Big UFC/WEC Update!

Presenti allo show vi erano 13,268 fans alla O2 Arena in London, praticamente sold out.

Report:

1. Paul Kelly (8-1) beat Troy Mandaloniz (3-2) via decision on scores of 30-27, 30- 27 and 30-28. This was the only match that didn’t air on the U.S. telecast, although it did air in Canada and the U.K. First two rounds were good, but both got tired in round three. Kelly picked apart Mandaloniz with boxing in the first round, and by the third round, Mandaloniz’s eye looked like hell. Fans booed the third round when little happened except two takedowns by Mandaloniz. Most likely that’s it for Mandaloniz in UFC for the time being.

2. Mike Ciesnolevicz (18-3, 1 no contest) stopped Neil Grove (7-2) in 1:03. Ciesnolevicz is a light heavyweight from the Miletich camp, who took this fight as a replacement and got up to 235 against the 6-6, 263-pound Grove. Ciesnolevicz immediately went for the takedown, but ended up on the bottom. Both men were going for heel hooks at the same time, but Ciesnolevicz knew what he was doing and Grove’s knee popped and he had to tap. With two straight early first round losses, Grove’s chances of coming back don’t look that good.

3. Evan Dunham (8-0) beat Per Eklund (15-4, 1 no contest) in 2:14. Dunham connected with a quick punch and then got a guillotine. Dunham eventually scored with a left to the jaw for a knockdown, and after a few more punches on the ground it was stopped.

4. Junior Dos Santos (8-1) beat Stefan Struve (20-3) in :54. Struve is 6-11 and 240 pounds but Dos Santos just came out and blasted him with hard punches as Struve was backed against the cage. He connected with seven hard punches until Struve went down with his leg bent at a bad looking angle. Struve is expected to be used again.

5. Terry Etim (12-2) beat Brian Cobb (15-5) at :10 of the second round. Cobb had a corner with Matt Lindland, B.J. Penn and Urijah Faber. Etim, from the U.K., was the big favorite. Etim scored with strong low kicks. Cobb took him down. Etim held him in a tight guard and just held on waiting for a stand-up. Cobb took him down a second time. Cobb kept throwing body punches, which was about all he could do. Crowd was booing and the ref stood them up. Don’t know about that one as Cobb was staying busy. Etim scored with more hard low kicks to end the round. Etim opened round two with a Cro Cop style left high kick to the side of the head and it was over.

6. Paulo Thiago (11-0) beat Josh Koscheck (14-4) in 3:29. It was a straight boxing match as Koscheck kept connecting with hard punches, but Thiago stayed in there. Then, out of nowhere, when Koscheck left himself open, Thiago connected with the uppercut that stunned Koscheck and the left hook that put him down and out.

7. Demian Maia (11-0) beat Chael Sonnen (23-10, 1 no contest) in 2:37. All I can say is Sonnen’s strategy here was questionable. Sonnen, when he faced Paulo Filho the first time, dominated the stand-up and was able to use his wrestling to keep it standing. Then he went to the ground and got submitted. Sonnen had already garnered a reputation of being able to pull defeats out of victories, but played it so safe against an apparently wasted out of his mind Filho last year that he got a decision win against a guy he had no business not knocking out, in one of the year’s worst fights. Maia is possibly the best BJJ guy in UFC right now, so the deal would be to keep it standing. So Sonnen actually went for a takedown early. And he stayed down for far longer than he should have, while the impatient fans booed, not realizing that with Maia on the ground, something could always happen. Sonnen finally got up and they started trading. Maia then got a belly-to-belly takedown, landing on top, and faster than you can say submission of the night, he already had the triangle locked in. An awesome performance.

8. Nate Marquardt (31-8-2) beat Wilson Gouveia (12-6) via knockout at 3:10 of the third round. The fans were quick to boo this fight. But the first round ended up being some of the best back-and-forth action on the show. Marquardt did more damage in the stand-up, and got a late takedown, and after escaping a guillotine, Marquardt scored with some good punches on the ground to win a close round. Gouveia rocked Marquardt to start the second round. But Marquardt got Gouveia’s back and worked for a choke, but Gouveia escaped. Marquardt got a guillotine standing and threw some knees, and connected with a high kick and more knees late in the round, and Gouveia was in trouble. The win in the third round came from a flying knee, followed by a missed high kick which followed with a spinning backfist that hit, some good punches and a hard knee to the head.

9. Dan Hardy (21-6, 1 no contest) beat Rory Markham (16-5) in 1:09. Markham came out to Scottish bagpipes music, but that established him as the heel. Hardy hit a left to the jaw and Markham went out. Hardy made a point in his post-match interview to bring up that Markham said that he had no one punch knockout power.

10. Diego Sanchez (22-2) beat Joe Stevenson (34-10) by decision on scores of 29- 28, 30-27 and 30-27. This was a different Sanchez in cutting to 155. Sanchez noted that he started his cut at 190, came down to 155 for the weigh-ins, and stepped into the cage at 172. He said when he fought at welterweight, he would step into the cage at 172. He looked gaunt at weigh-ins, but healthy in the cage. Everyone remarked at how completely different he looked. His face was almost unrecognizable. He looked like a Hollywood actor who had major plastic surgery done he looked so different. His body looked completely different, far more muscular, but also smaller. His style was completely different. Sanchez was a guy who used to work for takedowns and ground and pound, and if he couldn’t get a takedown, would work so hard and set such a fast pace he’d wear his bigger opponent out. His stand-up was always so-so. Here, he fought a complete stand-up fight, reinventing himself, with an Oscar De La Hoya stance and mixing up punches, kicks and knees to where nobody knew where he was coming from. He maintained his conditioning and speed and Stevenson was fighting just to keep up. Sanchez dominated the fight with his stand-up, and stopped Sanchez’s attempts to take him down. Sanchez got a takedown in the second round. After Stevenson got up, Sanchez continued to score with a varied attack. Stevenson went for a guillotine and Sanchez slammed him down hard to escape. Sanchez tried a guillotine and Stevenson escaped. Third round was more of the same, before Sanchez got a takedown. Stevenson ended up getting up and the match ended with a great exchange. Match never slowed. The scrambles on the ground were even more exciting than the stand-up, but most of the match was stand-up. I thought really good main event to end a solid show.

AAA TV Report

AAA on Galavision

By: Xavier Hernandez

Show aired on: 02/21/2009

The show starts as usual, with a recap of last week's show. More battles between the AAArmy and the Legion, Vampiro and Chessman continue their feud; the clowns captured the atomic titles, and more.

*Pretaped Segment: Konnan is in the ring with Arturo Rivera, and says he's never seen so many rednecks together in his career (calling the fans like that). Konnan denies that there are financial problems with his management, and Rivera reinforces the statement by moving his finger in the "no" signal. Konnan assures the company is economically stable right now, and denies the rumors of the announcers, that he is stealing money from the company. Rivera tells the announcers that they are lucky to be paid even in pesos, because the Legion gets paid in Euros. Vampiro interrupts the segment of Konnan. Vampiro calls he's the worst thing that could happen to the company, and calls him a rat who's stealing money from the company. Vampiro brings in a special guest, and he may put a stop to the stupid things Konnan has done: Joaquin Roldan (WOW, I'm in shock, sarcastically). Konnan says Vampiro is just jealous of the accomplishments Konnan has, and Vampiro is just under his shadow. Vampiro takes his jacket off, and Konnan flees from the ring. Roldan says he will recover control of the company very soon, and Konnan will be out with Rivera.

*Promo Video: This one hypes the newly revived feud between Abismo and Abyss. Abismo calls the clone a cheap copy, who doesn't have his experience nor his career. Abismo bows he will take and rip Abyss' mask very soon.

1) Mini Charlie Manson, Mascarita Sagrada & Mascarita Divina vs. Mini Abismo Negro, Mini Psicosis & Mini Histeria

-Only Fall: The heels kick off with an early ambush on the tecnicos. Manson dodges a Stinger Splash from Abismo, and the tecnico comeback begins. Manson hits a spectacular Pescado on Histeria to take him out. Sagrada also flies with an Asai Moonsault to attack Abismo. Divina closes the flying marathon with a Crossbody on Psicosis. Both Mascaritas lock submission holds on Psicosis and Abismo, but Black Abyss appears out of nowhere to attack the tecnicos with a bottle of water. Manson tries to help his partners, but the heel referee doesn't allow it. Abyss applies a Tombstone Piledriver on Divina, and Abismo picks up the pinfall.

Winners: Mini Abismo Negro, Mini Psicosis & Mini Histeria

-Aftermath: The real Abismo hits the ring to confront his mini version, but Abyss lowblows him. The Mini Vipers and Abyss ambush Abismo (I thought a mini was supposed to support his adult counterpart, but not this time, with the Abismos).

*In-Ring Segment: Vampiro is in the ring with the clowns. Vampiro recognizes the as great wrestlers, but is not fair that the clowns attack him, when he has authority. Due to their actions, Vampiro has vacated the Atomic titles. Vampiro says he's the law, and everyone must respect the rules of the company, applied by him. This makes the clowns, and they attack the tecnicos upon their arrival. This leads to....

2) Psycho Circus (Psycho, Killer & Zombie Clown) vs. Pimpinela Escarlata, El Angel & Gato Eveready

-Only Fall: The clowns are displaying a great amount of rage and offense towards their opponents. The tecnicos finally make the comeback with aerial moves. The clowns begin to catch the tecnicos in mid-air. In the ring, Killer pins Angel with a Suplex Powerslam.

Winners: Psycho, Killer & Zombie Clown

*Pretaped Segment: Zorro talks to Teddy Hart and Nikki, and says the world is crazy, because things are not the way they're supposed to be. Zorro says he likes to earn things, and hates to be handed things that he didn't earn. Zorro calls himself a great warrior and a great champion. Teddy interrupts Zorro, to deal with something important. Teddy wants Zorro to step up and take leadership of the Legion, because Konnan is out of control, and they don't want to work with la Hermandad. Zorro says he never said anything about stepping up, and calls Teddy crazy. Nikki assures he was even holding his mask while making the promise, but Zorro calls them crazy for lying to him. No, no, no NOOOOOOO!

3) Zorro, Black Abyss & Teddy Hart (w/Nikki) vs. Abismo Negro, Gronda & SuperFly

-Only Fall: Zorro and Abismo talk to each other, but Abyss surprises with a Missile Dropkick to Abismo's head. This starts the triple team attack, and the Legion is under control.Gronda makes the comeback by dodging Zorro, and hitting a Double Clothesline. Fly uses his trademark Cartwheel Moonsault to connect Zorro. The brawl transfers to ringside, and even chairs are used as weapons. Back in the ring, Abismo battles Abyss mano a mano. Abismo tries to hit the Martinete Special, but Nikki stops him. Abismo now tries to hit the move on Nikki, but Teddy gets Abismo into the Hartbreaker. SSP by Teddy ob Abismo, but Gronda breaks the pin. Zorro attacks Abismo with the kendo stick, and pins him with La Casita.

Winners: Zorro, Black Abyss & Teddy Hart

*Promo Video: This one hypes the alliance between Konnan and La Hermandad. This may hint, that as long as La Hermandad is in, the Foundation may walk out. Konnan simply hired the Hermandad to do the dirty work for him.

*Pretaped Segment: Brazo and Pirata are fired up, but Decnnis clams them down. Brazo claims he will make Guapito pay for the loss at the steel cage. Guapito asks for forgiveness, but Vrazo wants to tear him apart.

4) Laredo Kid, Aerostar & El Elegido vs. El Brazo, Decnnis & Pirata Morgan

--Only Fall: Ambush from the rudos begins quickly, and Pirata already is after Elegido. The tecnicos make the comeback, and Decnnis eats a Double 619 from the tecnicos. Elegido hits a suicide dive on Pirata. Laredo continues with an Asai Moonsault on Decnnis, and Aero closes with a Reversed Plancha on Brazo. Aero connects with the Drowsy Dive, but hits Laredo instead. Brazo now flies with a Rolling Body attack off the apron. In the ring, Pirata fouls Elegido, and the referee makes the count, but Guapito stops him. Guapito informs the referee about the foul, and the referee awards the DQ to the tecnicos.

Winners (DQ): Laredo Kid, Aerostar & El Elegido

-Aftermath: The rudos go after Guapito, and Brazo gives him a big Plancha. The tecnicos make the save, after a brutal attack.

*Prettied Segment: Konnan is happy to have the most hardcore wrestlers under his roster. Konnan made sure the Harts don't mess with them, and even Konnan has given his spot in the main event to them. Electro tells Silver that he has more experience than him, and Parka will suffer. Konnan asks the Hermandad to finish Mesias and apply the 187 on him. The Hermandad says they will do whatever Konnan orders, 187! On the other hand, Mesias cuts the same promo. He bows to destroy Konnan, and doesn't care how many hardcore guys he brings, because Mesias is way more hardcore than anyone. Mesias will change the Hermandad's number from 187 to 000 when he vanishes them inside Mesias World. Parka and Silver also cut their promo, and they bow to defeat the Legion.

5) Mesias, Silver King & La Parka vs. Joe Lider, Nicho El Millonario & Electroshock

-Only Fall: Nicho cannot handle the power of the champion, and he's tossed out of the ring. electro and Silver tag in, but guess what? The cursed pattern of TV main event returns. Ambush from the heels, comeback from the tecnicos. The variety of holds and spots is different, but the formula is pretty much the same. Superplex by Parka on Electro, Plancha by Mesias, Elbow Drop by Nicho, Headbutt by Lider, but Electro stills kicks out. Suicide dive by Parka on Electro. Nicho attacks Mesias with a chair, and brings in a table. Mesias makes the comeback, and chokeslams Nicho through the table. Lider brings in a neon lightbulb, but Mesis breaks it in Lider's back, and the pinfall is scored.

Winners: Mesias, Silver King & La Parka

-Aftermath: Konnan says he's tired of Mesias injuring his best players. Konnan has officially let the Legion members attack anywhere he is found. Konnan also calls the fans idiots and full of hypocrisy for believing in someone who insulted them for two years. Mesias says he can bring anyone, because Konnan is the next one on his list. Mesias guarantees this is the last year of Konnan in the business. Whether you like it or not.

FINAL COMMENTS: First of all, I apologize for the delay of this report. I had so many issues to deal with, and I barealy had time to complete this report. Regarding the show, it was OK. At least the main event was a little bit different from the past few months. The fact that the Hermandad were pushed to main event (despite their botching movesets), brings a new air to the main events, because I am getting tired of the same "Konnan and Legion vs. Parka and friends" main event every week. Perhaps they should do more single and tag matches for their TV main events, to provide more variety.

TNA IMPACT SPOILERS FROM LAST NIGHT'S ORLANDO, FL TAPING
by Mike Johnson @ 8:42 AM on 2/25/2009

TNA Impact spoilers from last night's taping, courtesy www.ifight365.com:

TNA returned to the Impact Zone on Tuesday night to conclude taping TV for the March 12 show which takes place a few days before Destination X on PPV.

Quick results saw:

- Kurt Angle cut a promo which was interrupted by Jeff Jarrett, who Angle wanted to fight. Mick Foley hit the ring and said if Angle wants a fight, it should be with him. They went face-to-face before Foley backed down and left the ring.

- Backstage, Jim Cornette told Sting that both he and Angle will tonight pick a wrestler to represent them to fight later in the show, with Sting and Angle in their respective wrestlers’ corner.

- In a 6-Man Elimination Tag Team Match featuring Beer Money, Inc. and Matt Morgan vs. Team 3D and Abyss, Matt Morgan pinned Abyss for the win. Post-match, Morgan brought out a bag of thumb tacks only for Lauren to come out and try and protect Abyss. Morgan set up to chokeslam them both but Abyss was able to stop him from hitting the move.

- Taylor Wilde beat Madison Rayne with Traci Brooks as referee. Roxxi, The Governor, The Beautiful People and Cute Kip were all at ringside and the Knockouts got into a post-match brawl.

- Mick Foley, sat doing commentary with Mike Tenay, was attacked by the Main Event Mafia. Booker T was in Foley’s face but security pulled him away, which led to Scott Steiner nailing him from behind.

- Lethal Consequences and LAX beat Booker T, Scott Steiner and The Motor City Machineguns when Hernandez pinned Sabin.

- The main event saw Kurt Angle pick one of the MEM’s bodyguards to fight on his behalf, while Sting picked Eric Young. Young got the win. Post-match, Angle attacked Sting. Mick Foley came out to help Sting but Steiner and Kevin Nash hit the ring. Jeff Jarrett then hit the ring and took out the bodyguards. Jarrett announced that Destination X will feature a main event of Sting vs. Kurt Angle for the TNA title with Jarrett as referee and Mick Foley as ringside enforcer.

by Alex Hernandez @ 8:45 PM on 2/23/2009

TNA Impact spoilers covering this Thursday and part of an upcoming episode:

*The Beautiful People defeated Taylor Wilde & Madison Rayne after Rayne slapped Taylor and abandoned her.

*TNA Tag Team champions Beer Money Inc. defeated The Rock N' Rave in an Off the Wagon Challenge when Robert Roode defeated Lance Hoyt.

*Mike Tenay interviews the Main Event Mafia inside the ring. Tenay asks Sting if he will defend the TNA title against Kurt Angle at Destination X. Kevin Nash says he is the spokesperson and claims that everything within the Mafia and they are still a family. Tenay says it doesn't seem like they are united. Nash says that Tenay works for Jeff Jarrett and it was Jarrett who wanted them to kill each other in the first place. Nash said they don't have to always get along but they respect each other. He says TNA cannot beat them. Jeff Jarrett comes out and says he is seeing firsthand that Sting isn't buying any of this crap. Jarrett asks Sting where his integrity is after Angle spit right in his face. He says Sting and Angle are polar opposites and as the founder of TNA, he is allowing Angle to challenge Sting at the PPV. Booker T asked Jarrett why he founded a company of nobodies and that without the Mafia, TNA would be nothing. Jarrett told Sting and Angle he would see them later for a contract signing.

*Don West takes a house mic and announces that earlier this week, TNA management had a meeting with him about his future in the company. He says that Mike Tenay didn't do anything to defend West and tried to stay neutral. West said that Tenay is a "selfish pr***" and says that he knows two things - that their friendship will never be the same and Tenay can stick the mic West is holding up his a**.

*TNA X-Division champ Alex Shelley won a Four Way Ladder Match over Jay Lethal, Chris Sabin, and Consequences Creed. Suicide attacked all four and then held up the X-Division championship.

*Sojo Bolt and Rhaka Khan come out and call out Awesome Kong and Saeid, then defeat them. Kong destroys them both afterwards.

*Jeff Jarrett comes out and brings out the Main Event Mafia. Kevin Nash tells Jeff that just as Booker T told him earlier, the match is not happening. Jarrett asked Angle, "Aren't you the Godfather of the Mafia?" He compares Kurt Angle to Al Pacino and says the difference is that Angle doesn't have the balls like a real Godfather would. Angle takes the contract, then lays out Jarett. Mick Foley hits the ring but Angle grabs him in an anklelock. Sting comes out with a bat, nails Angle, then signs the contract.

*TNA X-Division champ Alex Shelley defeated Kiyoshi. Suicide attacked both members of the Motor City Machineguns and laid them out afterwards, holding up the X-Division title belt.

*LAX come out. Hernandez says that they will take Beer Money Inc.'s challenge tonight and get back their TNA Tag Team championship.

*Mick Foley comes out and introduces TNA champion Sting. Foley thanks Sting for saving him "last week." Foley said that he watched the Academy Awards and Mickey Rourke nearly won the Oscar for The Wrestler. Foley said that the type of person Randy the Ram was could have been him if he hadn't dropped an elbow on Sting back in the day. Foley said that back then Sting saved him and now he wants to save Sting. Foley says that he wants to think that we've seen the last of Sting as a member of the Main Event Mafia and that TNA needs Sting. Sting says that he appreciates the words but he can't just let Angle control the Mafia and notes he has no problems with any of the other members. Kevin Nash, Booker T and Scott Steiner come out. Nash said he thought The Wrestler sucked and tells Foley to shut up. He tells Sting that Foley is in the office and not really one of the boys. Sting says that Angle didn't respect him when he spit in Sting's face. Nash said they can battle and no matter what, the TNA belt will stay in the family, or Sting can turn his back on the family. Nash tells Sting that the decision is his.

*Don West was out for an on camera segment for the second episode but left.

*Kurt Angle and Jay Lethal came brawling out from backstage in suits. Angle laid Lethal out and took his suit. It appeared this was something that started backstage that wasn't shown live to the crowd.

*LAX defeated TNA Tag Team champions Beer Money Inc. by DQ when they nailed Hernandez with a chair. Team 3D hit the ring for the save and challenged Beer Money to a match at Destination X.

*Kurt Angle comes out and says, "Hey boss", referring to Jeff Jarrett. He promises to eat up Jarrett as an appetizer and that Sting will be the main course at Destination X. Jarrett comes out in street clothes. He and Angle brawl through the Impact Zone and he finally throws Angle out of the building and slams the door on him. Jarrett, Team 3D and Mick Foley congratulate Jarrett and they all celebrate in the ring.

PWG report 21-2,Reseda feat. Colt Cabana e Paul London

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla ran at the American Legion Hall in Reseda on Saturday night. The show started an hour and a half late due to the crowd being bigger than expected. At least 500 or so fans were in attendance, and the venue was very packed to the point where it was hard to get around and people were standing everywhere. The atmosphere was really amazing for this show.

1. Zokre over Scorpio Sky: Great high flying opener with some really cool spots. The finish saw Zokre get a pinning combination on Sky. Despite Sky's feet being on the ropes, the referee ended the match which upset many of the fans in attendance.

2. B-Boy over TJ Perkins: B-Boy was making his PWG return in this match, while TJ was wrestling his final match in SoCal before moving to Florida. The match itself had some good moments, but would drag at some points. B-Boy and Perkins got the crowd back into the match when TJ teased getting a submission with an armbar, while B-Boy kept countering. Finish saw B-Boy forcing TJ to tap to a Rear Naked Choke. After the match both men got good ovations from the fans.

At this point in the show, Paul London came out to a huge ovation and cut a very strange promo. At some points he mentioned his comments in recent interviews, and apologized for his comments about Matt Sydal. He would go on to mention his time in the WWE and how he was happy to be back in the indy wrestling scene. Joey Ryan came out and trashed London, which lead to a quick scuffle between the two to build up the main event.

3. El Generico over Kenny Omega: Really solid match. Featured tons of comedy and Kenny Omega working the crowd. Referee Rick Knox ended up being involved in the match at some points, and built to him and Omega getting into a confrontation that saw Rick Knox hit a running clothesline on Omega. After that Generico hit a running Yakuza Kick and a Turnbuckle Brainbuster onto Omega to get the win. The finish to this match got a huge ovation from the crowd.

4. Austin Aries over Necro Butcher in a No Disqualification match: Aries did a really good job at being the heel here, teasing the fans about using weapons but not using them. The match went around the building and featured Aries wrapping a chain around his boot and hitting Necro with a running dropkick to the face with the chain on his boot. Finish saw Aries nail Necro with several hard chair shots and a brainbuster onto an open chair for the pinfall.

5. Chris Hero over Human Tornado & Colt Cabana to retain the PWG World Championship: The match started out with Hero and Tornado going one on one before a voice was heard over the PA. It turned out to be Colt Cabana aka Scott Goldman, who was released by WWE on Friday. Colt came out and said "released on a Friday, PWG on a Saturday" and asked to be included in the match. Pretty standard match triple threat that had the fans' attention. Hero gets the win after pinning Tornado following some stuff elbow shots.

Post match Hero got on the mic and said that if Cabana wanted a title shot, he would give him one and finished this offer by calling him Scott. Cabana got on the mic and said he wasn't sure about Scotty Goldman, but he knew Colt Cabana would love one. The two shook hands and then were interrupted by Tornado. He got on the mic and wanted to make peace with Hero, but Hero refused his peace offering to a lot of crowd heat.

6. Paul London & The Young Bucks over Joey Ryan, Scott Lost, & Karl Anderson: Anderson was making his PWG return in this match after an extended stay in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Great main event here. Too many spots to mention. London looked a little rusty in the middle of the match, but looked really good the rest of the time. The finish saw The Young Bucks hit their finisher, with Paul London hitting a SSP to get a pinfall victory for his team.

Post match, Paul London gave an emotional promo that was a lot more serious than his previous promo earlier that night. He put over the fans and said that the moment was one of the most special moments of his life and he thanked everyone for supporting him. After everyone left the ring, Paul stayed in the ring and signed autographs and took photos with everyone who stuck around after the show.

Great show. Tremendous atmosphere, fun wrestling, and cool little stories told through out the show. The crowd was an actual standing room only crowd and everyone had a good time. Hope to see more of Paul London in PWG, as he seemed to really enjoy working the show.

By Jonathan Sarpolis

Here's a quick report on PWGs 'Express Written Consent' show from last night in Reseda, CA:

-The show started over an hour late as there was a HUGE turnout for the small venue. Biggest crowd I've ever seen in this small venue. It was a long, creative process, to ensure that everyone was allowed inside with Fire Marshall approval. The result was a jam packed house that was quite excited that they were going to see something special. The one downside was that there was little room for the athletes to maneuver, but you wouldn't have noticed they way they worked.

1. Zokre (of Los Luchas) over Scorpio Sky

2. B-Boy over T.J. Perkins...B-Boy looked good in his return, and despite being a hated heel, T.J. was given a great, 'Thank You T.J.' chant following his last bout before moving to Florida.

-Paul London came out and cut a promo briefly explaining his behavior in recent interviews were he has viciously bashed WWE.

3. El Generico over Kenny Omega

4. Austin Aries over Necro Butcher-No DQ

5. Chris Hero over Human Tornado and COLT CABANA to retain the PWG World Title... After a few opening minutes between long rivals Hero & Tornado, the bout was interrupted by an unknown voice revealed to be Colt Cabana. He got a ridiculous pop for the surprise appearance, cut a promo, and asked to be inserted into the bout. Great stuff.

6. Paul London & the Young Bucks over Joey Ryan, Scott Lost, and Karl Anderson...Match of the Night. London had a few mishaps, but shook of the rust and had a fantastic performance. Everyone else really stepped up as well to make this something special. Great stuff and a great reaction to London during the promo earlier, the match, and the aftermath.

Exciting show with all of the returns from Scorpio Sky, to B-Boy, to Karl Anderson, to the big one in Paul London, and the HUGE surprise in Colt Cabana.

ROH News

Quindi niente Colt Cabana almeno fino a fine Marzo.

Lineup per lo show in Danbury, CT:
ROH champion Nigel McGuinness vs. Jerry Lynn vs. Tyler Black vs. Jimmy Jacobs
Kevin Steen & Jay Briscoe vs. Chris Hero & Eddie Edwards
Bryan Danielson vs. Delirious
Brent Albright vs. Claudio Castagnoli
Necro Butcher vs. Brodie Lee in a Street Fight
Rhett Titus & Kenny King vs. Erick Stevens & Bobby Dempsey
Austin Aries vs. Sami Callaha

Altro addio in casa TNA

Bill Behrens gestirà i suoi bookings.showbis@aol.com

TNA IN MACON, GEORGIA LIVE REPORT:

by Dave in Georgia @ 12:27 AM on 2/21/2009

TNA in Macon, Georgia Live Report:

Jeremy Borash came out first and told us that Thursday's Impact was the highest rated show in the company's history. He also announced that people in the loudest sections would receive backstage passes.

The first match was between Jimmy Rave and Consequences Creed. It was a fun match, but of course with Rave no longer being a contracted wrestler the finish was never in any doubt. Creed never got to do his punch and split move during the match, but he did do the twirl and split afterwards.

The second match was Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. Eric Young. Bashir came out and saw a sign that claimed "My Dad can beat the Sheik", so Bashir told the person holding the sign "I hope your dad has good life insurance!" Young won the match.

The third match was Awesome Kong defending the Knockouts title against Taylor Wilde. Taylor actually came out with a middle-aged woman; JB announces who she was but I didn't really hear. The person who was setting next to me said she won a contest on a local FOX station. With the title on the line, there was no doubt who was going to win. Taylor came close with a rollup at one point, but Kong eventually hit the Impact buster for the win. The ref helped Taylor to the back. She could have been injured, but I think she was just selling the beating she took. This was one of only two matches in which there were dueling cheers as half wanted Taylor to win, and the other half wanted Kong to win.

The fourth match was Scott Steiner vs. AJ Styles. Steiner came out and said it's been a long time since he's been in Macon; WCW used to come to Macon all the time. He said he hates rednecks and white trash. After AJ got knocked out of the ring, he grabbed the mic and said that Steiner calling the crowd rednecks was actually a complement to us. Styles attempted the Styles Clash, but Steiner countered with a backdrop. Steiner hit what I think is called the Steiner Flatliner. He prepared to put AJ in the Steiner Recliner, but AJ fought out of it. AJ won the match with the Pele.

JB announced that it was now intermission and everyone who had received backstage passes could go to the back and meet some TNA stars. He also announced that tonight was the first time TNA came to Macon and promised it wouldn't be the last time. He also announced that after the intermission a cameraman would be filming the audience and that the footage would appear on a future episode of Impact. After the filming he said it would also appear on the TNA website. I was at ringside, so I'm going to have to look to see if I can find myself on Impact (though he didn't address WHICH Impact it would actually appear on).

After the break Beer Money defended the Tag Titles against LAX. Storm got on the microphone and insulted the crowd. He then turned his attention to a guy in the front row who was apparently calling him a "f***t." James said "you're the one who paid money to see grown men roll around in their underwear, so who are you calling a f*****?" A minor "f*****" chant started, but thankfully it didn't catch on. When James kept stalling at the beginning my yelling at people in the audience, LAX went outside to try to get him in the ring. At one hilarious point Roode went up to him and tapped him from behind. Thinking it was Homicide or Hernandez, Storm turned around and punched Roode in the mouth. I couldn't see what happened next because the people in front of me were standing up, but the lady next to me said that Storm then claimed it was actually a fan who hit Roode. Storm and Roode then hugged and made up.

Storm started the match against Homicide. When Homicide tagged in Hernandez, Storm ran to the corner and tagged in Roode, who was less than pleased to have to come in. There were a number of near falls in which people thought the titles actually changed hands, but it wasn't meant to be. Storm spit beer into either Homicide or Hernandez's face (I don't remember whose), which allowed Roode to get the pin.

The main event was Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Jarrett. This was the other match with dueling chants. My section wanted Jeff to win (though I didn't) while the people across from us wanted Angle to win. Both men applied their signature submission moves during the course of the match. Jarrett hit the Stroke, but Kurt kicked out. Eventually Steiner came out, which allowed Angle to hit a low blow and Angle Slam. Angle covered Jarrett, but he kicked out. AJ came out and went after Steiner, which distracted the ref. Angle grabbed the guitar and tried to use it on Jeff, but Jeff managed to take it from him. Jeff hit Angle with the guitar, but it didn't break and Kurt didn't go down, so Jeff hit him with it again. Once again it didn't break, but this time Kurt went down and Jeff got the three count.

After the show JB, Jeff, and AJ celebrated in the ring. JB mentioned that since this was TNA's first time in Macon, TNA should do something special. Jeff and AJ suggested a handicap match with them taking on JB, but JB understandably wasn't interested in giving us something THAT special. He then suggested that instead of giving out backstage passes, they could bring the backstage to the fans. All the clean wrestlers (including Taylor, so if she did get hurt it was something minor) then came out and started giving autographs while in the ring, AJ and Jarrett would pose for pictures. It cost $20 to have the picture taken, but the pics were printed right away. AJ told me he liked my shirt; he should, seeing as it's his! I wasn't able to get any autographs because by the time I actually got to take a picture with AJ and Jeff, the others had already left. I tried to get AJ to sign the back of my picture, but he got called away.

All in all it was an entertaining show. Next time I'm going to have to try to get tickets early so I can get the front row. After Angle hit Jarrett with three German suplexes, he began taunting to the crowd. I tried to take a picture, but just as my digital took the picture someone in the front row stood up to yell at Angle, completely blocking the shot. Dude, you're in the front row. Sit down!

SEEYA!!!!!

Yes. I was released by WWE. There's only two things that are on my mind right now.

1) Move back to Chicago.

2) Go to England and Professionally Wrestle Johnny Saint.

There'll be a lot more to come, but for now, sit tight.

Goodbye Scotty Goldman. Hello (again) Colt Cabana!

GOOD TIMES, GREAT MEMORIES!

Allo show vi sarà il GHC jr. champion Katsuhiko Nakajima.

UFC 97 in Quebec

--The government agency that oversees the Quebec Athletic Commission sent out a release today saying UFC 97 would be taking place on 4/18 in Montreal. A compromise was worked out after meetings this week with the commission and UFC officials Lorenzo Fertitta and Marc Ratner on the rules, although actual details of the compromise have not been said officially. The belief is that the same rules that have been used for UFC events will be in place with perhaps a slight modification. Last week the Quebec Alcohol, Races and Games Commission stated that the rules that MMA events in the city had been held using for eight years were illegal and that for the show to take place, new rules would have to be used banning any form of knees, elbows, and mandating eight counts in the event of knockdowns. The compromise is UFC has agreed to ban stomping on the feet for this show only, in exchange for the other rules being put back in place.

UFC 97 18/02 Update

Bono allo show del 22 Febbraio affronterà Lance Cade.

18/02 Puerto Rico Update

Ultimo Guerrero jr. dovrebbe debuttare a breve.

AAA on Galavision Tv Report

AAA on Galavision
By: Xavier Hernandez
Show aired on : 02/14/2009

Show opens as usual with summary of last week's show. Konnan throws food at the fans, and makes a new deal with the Hermandad. The clowns are still undefeated, up to 251 straight wins. We had yet, another classic main event, where Konnan and the Legion destroyed the AAArmy. For today, the clowns and Chessman challenge the Black Family for the Atomic titles, plus another exciting edition of AAA's TV main event match.

*Promo Video: review of how Mesias turned face, and joined the AAArmy to face Konnan and the legion. (I still can't believe how the fans in Mexico buy the Mesias faceturn).

*In-Ring Segment: Zorro is in the mic, with the legion next to him. Zorro can't believe how excited the fans are to hear what the prophet has to say. But Zorro says he's not crazy enough to waste his energy talking to hundreds of mummies (note Gunanajuato is famous for their mummies). Konna grabs the mic to unsult the crowd, and says they're full of crap. Konnan addresses Vampiro, and he's tired of him messing his business.Konnan says Vampiro is blocking him from bringing in new stars from other countries. Konnan says the Legion is still dominating everything, but this brings Mesias out. He says fans came to see wrestling, and not a bald guy talking trash. Mesias tells Konnan and his crew to leave the ring, but Konnan challenges Mesias to kick them out himself. The Legion is assaulted by D-Mex, and there you have it. Waltman tells Zorro he'll have his blood tonight. Konnan says they made a big mistake by attacking him from behind. Mesias says the war just started, and claims this is Konnan's last year in the business.

*Promo Video: This one hypes the feud between Zorro and Sean Waltman. (Actually, I believe this feud have been nicely booked, but I don't think it will be an exciting one, when it comes to in-ring performance).

1) Poder del Norte (Tigre Cota, Tito Santana & Rio Bravo) vs. RFA (Laredo Kid, El Angel & Aerostar)

-Only Fall: Early dives from everyone, including Aerostar's Springboard Comet. Tecnicos use a variety of aerial moves to dominatre the rudos. Poder gets tired, and they they start the triple team attack. Tecnicos make the comeback, with heavy strikes. Laredo hits his Step Hilo on Bravo, and Angel hits a Diving Crossbody. Tigre and Tito follows them with more Hilos. Aerostar closes with his Meteor Senton. In the ring, Tigre misses the Lionsault, and Laredo puts him away with a Brainbuster. 450 Splash by Laredo, but someone breaks the pin. It's none other than the incredible Billy Boy. This causes the referee to award the DQ.

Winners (DQ): Laredo Kid, El Angel & Aerostar

*Pretaped Segment: Billy cuts a promo. He says he was tired of supporting the Apaches, and he's tired of beign rejected by Fabi. Their actions have just awaken the monster within Billy, and his new goal id to destroy the Apaches, because they're worthless, and they deserve it.On the other hand, El Apache is mad because Billy betrayed his family. Fabi says she's going to destroy Billy, but daddy says he'll take care of Billy himself.(Will this feud ever end?)

2) Los Apaches (El Apache, Mari Apache & Fabi Apache) vs. Billy Boy, El Oriental & Cinthia Moreno

-Only Fall: Billy flees from the Apaches, which is a good way to start his new heel persona. The heels snap, and we have the classic triple team attack. Oriental accidentally dropkicks his sister, and the comeback begins. Apache also snapped, and he slaps everyone, including his own daughters. The rudos take control back, and they use heavy strikes. Apache is bleeding buckets, and the ladies cannot help their father, Oriental uses a Falling Headbutt on Apaceh, and Billy puts his foot over for the three count.

Winners: Billy Boy, El Oriental & Cinthia Moreno

-Aftermath: The Apache girls attack Billy, but Poder del Norte arrives to help Billy. The Apache family is destroyed, and el Apache got the worst part.

*Noti AAA:
-The AAA website is renewed and updated everyday. Based on a poll, Guadalajara might be the place of RdR 2009. (To be honest, I've never visited the site)
-El Fresero, just had his 50th anniversary as a referee, and celebrated his farewell show with many AAA stars. He'll be now a promoter.
-Konnan just made a new deal with Hermandad, and they have a new target, assigned by Konnan.
-Reminder, to bring the keys for the statue of Antonio Pena.

*Pretaped Segment: Zorro talks with the Harts and Nikki. Zorro says the world is crazy enough to desire his own blood. Zorro says he didn't like how Konnan handled the D-Mex, so next time he'll take care of them on his own. Evans says the Harts are 100% behind Zorro, because they are sick and tired of D-Mex. Nikki wants to know whats up with the mask Zorro holds, and he simply says it's something beautiful.

3) D-Generation Mex (X-Pac, Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov) vs. Zorro, Teddy Hart & Jack Evans (w/Nikki)

-Only Fall: Waltman wants Zorro badly, but he gets Teddy instead. Zorro and Shadow kick off with fast paced moves. Everyone gets a chance to do their own moves, but suddenly the heels start the triple team attack. Zorro now attacks his new rival Waltman with a Triangle dropkick. the comeback begins with dropkicks from both Romero and Koslov. Tons of near falls from both sides, but they keep breaking them. Evans hits his Cartwheel Dive, but Romero dodges. Teddy connects with a Moonsault, and so does Koslvo with a Springboard Elbow. The referee check on everyone outside, and Zorro capitalizes to pull his kendo stick. Zorro accidentally hits the referee, and waltman takes the kendo. The referee sees the kendo in Waltman's hands, and assumes he hit him. The DQ is awarded.

Winners (DQ): Zorro, Teddy Hart & Jack Evans

*Promo Video: This one hypes how Chessman abandoned AAA, and took the clowns with him. Vampiro has been rpovoked by Chessman, but his status as a comissioner doesn't allow him to fight Chessman back. Vampiro says Chessman is a selfish person, who only complains for everything. Chessman is not well liked by everyone, and that hurts Chessman as a star. On the other hand, the Black Family tell the clowns that they are undefeated when it comes to title matches. They know Chessman perfectly, so it won't make a difference for the clowns. When it's all set and done, the Family will remain champions. The clowns say they are the best team in AAA, and they can already feel the belts on their waists. Chessman says Roldan will regret turning his back on the four of them. Chessman says Vampiro and Mesias suck because they are not Mexican. Chessman and the clowns are nothing more but victims.

4) Mexican National Atomic Championship
Ozz, Cuervo, Scoria & Spiritu (c) vs. Psycho Clown, Killer Clown, Zombie Clown & Chessman

-Only Fall: The Family starts off with the early ambush on the tecnicos. Chessman tries to bring a chair, but the heels take from him to use it as their own weapon. Chessman finally makes the comeback with many backbreakers and spears. Chessman misses the 450 Splash, and the Family attacks again. Chessman is pinned, but he's not the captain. Scoria tries to springboard, but he slips, and the comeback begins. The clowns attack the injured leg of Scoria. Looks like the injury is serious, since a doctor is checking on Scoria, and he's taken on a stretcher. The clowns take full controol of the match. Both Ozz and Psycho socre pinfalls, at the same time, so Spiritu and Killer and out. Psycho misses a Plancha, and Ozz hits the Rolling Cutter. Tornillo by Ozz, but Pyscho kicks out. Powerslam by Psycho, and the pinfall is scored.

Winners and NEW Champions: Psycho Clown, Killer Clown, Zombie Clown & Chessman

-Aftermath: Vampiro comes with the belts in his handsm but the Family stops him from entering the ring. The clowsn and Chessman get the belts, and the Family attacks Vampiro. The clowns try to help Vampiro, but Chessman spears Vampiro. The RFA comes to the rescue, but they're not match for the clowns and Chessman. Vampiro is destroyed. After the match, the clowns say the titles are proof of their greatness as a team. Chessman says this is the beginning of the end for the Legion. They are after the world titles, hairs and masks. After all, Chessman and the clowns are nothing more but victims, but they are also the best AAA has.

*Pretaped Segment: Abismo and Parka talk. Abismo says there is only one Abismo, and the Vipers are done. But Abyss better leave, or Abismo will destroy him. Parka says he's after Electro. Mesias joins in, and says the AAArmy is stronger than ever. Mesias will not rest until Roldan retakes control of the company. Whether you like it or not.

5) Konnan, Electroshock & Black Abyss vs. Mesias, La Parka & Abismo Negro

-Only Fall: Guess what, I still refuse to call these matches, that have nothing more but repetitive patterns, week after week. Legion attacks the tecnicos, then the comeback starts, then Konnan is smashed into a chair, and Mesias picks up the pinfall.

Winners: Mesias, La Parka & Abismo Negro

Aftermath: The rest of the Legion arrives to destroy the tecnicos, and I missed the last few minutes after that. Sorry!
