The first show on 1/17 from Irvine, Calif:
First match on the TV will be Pat Curran vs. Patricio Pitbull Freire
for the featherweight title. Main event will be Michael Chandler vs.
Rick Hawn for the lightweight title. There will also be light
heavyweight tournament fights with Renato Babalu Sobral vs. Mikhail
Zayats (2008 sambo world champion) and another with Seth Petruzelli.
The second show will be 1/24 in Thackerville, Okla:
Ben Askren vs. Karl Amoussou for the welterweight title
Debut of King Mo Lawal
Plus Douglas Lima and Ben Saunders in welterweight tournament fights.
Spike will air the shows live after Impact on Thursdays and also replay them in prime time on other nights.
The King Mo TV special covering wrestling and MMA will air first
right after the 1/17 TV show ends and be repeated several times in prime
time to build his 1/24 debut.
There will also be a lot of other Bellator programming, very similar
to the structure UFC had on Spike with taped matches, preview shows,
personality specials and a reality show.
