Some sites reported that PWInsider.com runned with a news that stated that WWE had been in contact with MVP and Shelton Benjamin for bring them back. PWInsider never reported that news, altough Mike Johnson has talked about WWE discussing internally to bring back solid former midcarders to fill the void in the actual roster and to help the younger talent. The name discussed, but again not contacted, are Cliff Compton, Billy Gunn, MVP, Benjamin among others.

Vari siti hanno riportato che PWInsider ha messo un online una news, in cui si asseriva che la WWE avrebbe contattato MVP e Shelton Benjamin per farli tornare nel roster. PWInsider non ha mai postato suddetta news; Mike Johnson ha parlato di una discussione interna alla WWE in cui si cercava di capire chi sarebbe utile, fra i midcardes, per poter aiutare i giovani talenti. I nomi discussi, ma ripeto, non contattati, sono fra gli altri Cliff Compton, Billy Gunn, MVP e Shelton Benjamin.
