Jim Ross broadcast partner for GFW/NJPW WRESTLE KINGDOM PPV REVEALED!

Matt Striker will be the broadcast partner of Jim Ross on the January 4 New Japan Pro Wrestling "Wrestle Kingdom 9" pay-per-view event, according to a well placed source. The news has not been confirmed by Global Force Wrestling or Jim Ross at the time of this update.

Powell's POV: Mike Tenay was the first choice to work with Ross, but TNA would not allow him to work the show, which many in the industry believe was done out of pettiness simply because of Jeff Jarrett's involvement. Perhaps TNA has a better explanation such as their working agreement with Wrestle-1, but it's a ridiculous move by TNA if it's simply out of pettiness as many believe. TNA needs to generate goodwill with pro wrestling fans that they've lost over the years and this would have been a step in the right direction, not to mention some exposure for their move to Destination America.
