MATT 'BORNE' OSBOURNE, THE ORIGINAL DOINK THE CLOWN, PASSES AWAY

Matt Osbourne, better known as "Maniac" Matt Borne, Big Josh and the original Doink the Clown in the WWF, has passed away.

Details on his passing are still developing. PWInsider.com can confirm Osbourne was found this morning in Texas, where he had been staying of late, by his girlfriend. Osbourne would have turned 57 next month.
A second generation star, Osbourne was the son of "Tough" Tony Borne, a star who challenged for the NWA World title during his career and was most prominently known in the Texas and Pacific Northwest territories.
It was that same Northwest region that Osbourne debuted after being trained by his father, working for Don Owen's promotion. Billed as "Maniac" Matt Borne, he was a tough, bruiser of a wrestler and was a natural for the business.  It was his streak for wild behavior outside the ring that often prevented him from having big money runs in the business and causing the premature end of a number of pushes in different companies.
After making his name, Osbourne worked a number of different territories, including Mid-South Wrestling, where he teamed with Ted DiBiase and Hacksaw Duggan as babyfaces known as the "Ratpack", playing off the famous entertain trio of the era by the same name. He and Duggan actually ended up having heat with each other during that time period, which actually turned into a legitimate shoot decades later during a PWS independent event in New Jersey just a few years back.
Osbourne moved to Georgia Championship Wrestling, where he and Arn Anderson were tapped to become a top duo there.  Allegations against Osbourne and a potential legal case led to his quick exit.
Osbourne's travels took him to the WWF in the early 1980s and he worked the first Wrestlemania card, losing to Ricky Steamboat, who had just started with the promotion.
He wasn't long for WWF and Osbourne moved around for most of the 1980s working for all the major territories as they dried up one by one. He had a big push in World Class Championship Wrestling, teaming with Buzz Sawyer to win the World Class Tag straps and also had a run as The Texas Heavyweight champion. But, the territories were fewer and fewer as the 80s went on, making it harder and harder to find work, so the journey never ended for the journeyman.
Osbourne returned to national TV was brought in by Dusty Rhodes to World Championship Wrestling in 1991.  Although he was an old school guy in how he protected the business and presented himself, this time, he was not Matt Borne.  Instead, he was given a makeover and became Big Josh. His past in the business was completely ignored as he morphed into a fan turned wrestler. The idea was he was a simple country outdoorsman, complete with an entrance accompanied by bears on major PPVs. If you think Hillbilly Jim in the 1980s WWF, it was similar in vein to Big Josh.
While in WCW, Osbourne had several title runs (United States tag belts with Ron Simmons and a WCW Six Man Tag run with Z-Man and Dustin Rhodes) but was never pushed as anything more than just an undercard babyface character.  That sort of character seemed out of place in WCW, even in 1991 where the company was floundering creatively after the loss of Ric Flair.  Osbourne left the company after a year. 
Osbourne was brought back to the WWF in 1993. With the advent of the Monday Night Raw era, a slew of new personalities were introduced. The knock on WWF had been that it had become a circus among old school wrestling fans. With Osbourne, WWF now had their clown - dressed as a clown with bright green wig, white, red and blue facepaint and a colorful polka-dotted outfit, he began appearing in the audience at shows.
Over time, it was revealed that Doink was an evil clown. He would pull cruel pranks on fans at ringside and eventually, on the late Bryan "Crush" Adams, attacking him with a fake arm he pulled out of a sling. Doink was off to the races, including a Wrestlemania 9 appearance where he defeated Crush after a second, identical Doink (Steve Keirn) came from under the ring. It was twin magic well before there was a Bella Twin in sight.
The multiple Doinks became the calling card of the character and also allowed Doink to appear on multiple events taking place at the same time on the road. Steve Lombardi (the Brooklyn Brawler) would often end up playing a Doink on the road as well.
For most of 1993, Osbourne was in the WWF mix, working Bret Hart at Summerslam that year and having an extended series of matches with Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig in a tournament for the vacant Intercontinental championship.
Having done his run as a heel, the decision was made to turn Osbourne babyface, although that turn would eventually see the end of his career on a national level. Following a number of personal issues, WWF opted to let Osbourne go, instead hiring Northeastern independent wrestler Ray Apollo to portray Doink from that point on. Apollo officially debuted in a vignette at the 1993 Survivor Series. Osbourne never played the character for WWF again, with the exception of the Raw 15th Anniversary show, where his old foe Steamboat, now an agent, suggested he be brought in for the role.
Osbourne hit the indy scene as Doink almost immediately, working all over the United States as well as overseas as the character. Doink on the indy scene was a hot draw. The character was all over WWF TV, allowed Osbourne (and others who had no business playing the role) to make decent money with bookings and merchandise money.
Osbourne also had a short run in the original ECW, debuting as Doink in a tournament for the NWA title. Doink was a mystery opponent for ECW mascot 911, who quickly destroyed him with a series of chokeslams. This allowed Paul Heyman to rip on the WWF by declaring that this, "Wasn't the circus, it was E-C-W!" That night, Shane Douglas won and rejected the NWA title, instead declaring the ECW belt the "ECW World Heavyweight championship" and that he was going to bring the sport back to pro wrestling.
As part of that plan, initially was Matt Borne. Christened "Borne Again", the idea was that Douglas had brought the wrestler back out of the clown. Borne was muscle for Douglas and worked alongside him for several months. When it came time for ECW's big November to Remember weekend, Osbourne had overseas dates that conflicted. He later claimed in an interview here on PWInsider.com that he was told by Paul Heyman to take the overseas dates, but when he returned, there was no longer a spot for him.
Over the ensuing years, Osbourne continued to be an old school journeyman wrestler, working independents where he could find bookings, making the convention circuit appearances and working as a mentor and trainer to different wrestlers in areas where he was located at different times. He also tried his hand in promoting in the Garfield, NJ area a few years back.

We kick the show off with the leader of the reformed Main Event Mafia, Sting, coming out to the ring in his slick mobster suit. In other words, a suit. He told us the Main Event Mafia would rise and it would grow, and what happened to Bully Ray last week was just a touch of what we're going to get. He introduces Kurt Angle, who says that the requirement for membership in the MEM was to be a former World Champion, and nobody was able to stop them. Nowadays, that seems to be Aces & Eights, except that they stepped it up a level and made it so that Sting can never challenge for the World Title again, and Angle was screwed out of this year's Bound For Glory Series. This is the new and improved MEM, he and Sting are both former World Champions, but that doesn't mean anything unless they can destroy Aces & Eights and make sure Bully Ray loses the World Title, and we'll meet the newest member of the family tonight.
Tonight: Velvet Sky gets her rematch with Mickie James for the Knockouts Title, Samoa Joe faces Ken Anderson in the Bound For Glory Series, and Chris Sabin defends the X Division Title against Kenny King and Suicide! We see a video package of the recent match where Sabin won the title against the same two men he faces tonight, but before that match can happen, Aces & Eights grabs Sabin backstage so Bully Ray can wish him luck in his match tonight. He hopes Sabin wins his match tonight, and then he hopes he does the right thing and not cash in his shot at the World Title. Bully says he's a great little X Division wrestler who does X Division stuff, but Bubba's the World Champion, a bad person, and someone Sabin wants no part of. Bubba tells his guys to let him go, and tells him to be careful of the knees. Sabin leaves and Bubba tells Anderson and Doc that he thinks Sabin got the point.
We look at Adam Ohriner, one of the contestants in this edition of the Gut Check. He's a big, muscular guy from Long Island who is already here after only two years in the business, and he is going to do whatever he needs to do to win the contract.
X Division Title Match: Chris Sabin vs Kenny King vs Suicide
They go all out for a minute or so before Suicide gets dumped and King nails Sabin with a spinning enziguiri. Suicide nails King with a missile dropkick and dumps him out to the floor before wiping him out with a rolling senton off the apron. Sabin comes out as well and takes Suicide out, then rolls King back inside as we go to commercial.
We're back and they're still going back and forth hitting big spots. They all pile up in the corner and do a Tower of Doom spot, Sabin hits a Cradle Shock on King, Suicide breaks up the fall and dumps Sabin to the floor, then small packages King for 2. King goes for the Royal Flush, but Suicide slips out, rollks King up, and holds the ropes for the win.
Winner and NEW X Division Champion: Suicide
Well, that was a little unexpected. Suicide takes the belt, but then Hulk Hogan's music hits and he comes out to the top of the ramp with TJ Perkins, who apparently got his ass kicked backstage. Hogan says he's worked hard to put money on his family's table (or food, or whatever), but somebody beat him up backstage and took his place in the match. Hogan wants to know who's under that mask, but Suicide escapes through the crowd with the title belt as Hogan stares after him angrily.
Hulk Hogan is backstage after the commercial break and says that he doesn't care who is under the Suicide mask, they're going to show us who they are before the end of the night.
We see a video package for Ryan Howe, a legit musician who got into wrestling because some wrestlers noticed his build, musical ability, and charisma. He's always wanted to be a wrestler, and he's going to earn his TNA contract tonight.
Gut Check: Adam Ohriner vs Ryan Howe
Howe plays his guitar on the way to the ring and Taz makes a joke about Van Hammer being back and looking great for his age. There's definitely a strong resemblance there, but I'd go more with Maxx Payne since this guy can really play the guitar and plays his own entrance music. The entrance was cool, but the match itself left a bit to be desired. Ohriner controls Hower to start, easily outmaneuvering him and surprising me with some real wrestling ability and the obvious power spots. He hits a powerslam for 2, then just ground and pounds Howe. Howe fires back and tries a top rope crossbody, but falls short and tries to turn it into a forearm shot instead. Ohriner quickly recovers with a hard clothesline for 2, then rams shoulderblocks into Howe's ribs in the corner. Howe dodges a charge in the corner and hits a flying back elbow and a pair of sloppy dropkicks for 2. Ohriner catches Howe coming in with a powerslam and gets the win.
Winner: Adam Ohriner
Howe looked pretty sloppy here, could have been nerves but I don't think he made a great impression. Ohriner, on the other hand, looked great and I have a feeling he's going to get snapped up.
Sting and Kurt Angle are backstage and head into the club room. Who could they be talking to in there?
Bully Ray catches up with TJ Perkins backstage, tells him he's his friend and thinks he's a great wrestler with all that X Division stuff he does, and asks him if Sting and Angle put him up to this tonight, and if this is part of the Main Event Mafia playing headgames. TJ tells him all he knows is he had the opportunity of a lifetime tonight and it got taken away from him. He doesn't know who it was, but otherwise he told Bubba all he knows. TJ goes to leave and Bubba grabs his arm, pulls him back, and tells him that he's free to go now.
We see a video package looking back at Mickie James' heel turn and title victory, and then we're off to our second title match of the evening!
Knockouts Title Match: Mickie James vs Velvet Sky
Mickie gets the microphone before the match and says that they used to be real good friends when Velvet was the champion, and they're not such good friends now that Mickie has the title, but as Velvet's friend, she's going to give her one last chance to back out because she doesn't want to see Velvet get hurt and neither do the fans. Mickie tells Velvet to stop being the stubborn, three dollar mule she is, and that's enough for Velvet, who spears Mickie and goes about beating her from pillar to post. Mickie goes to the knee to turn the tide as Taz talks about Velvet's Zambuie Express boots (Taz is full of the references tonight!) and starts going to work on her bad wheel. Velvet turns it around and they go back out to the floor where Velvet hits a flying headscissors, but Mickie clips the knee again on the way back inside and hits a DDT for 2. Velvet blocks the implant DDT and hits a knockout kick and a running neckbreaker for 2, she tries the flying headscissors again but Mickie blocks, kicks Velvet's knee out from under her, and gets Velvet in the hangwoman's clutch and forces Velvet to tap out.
Winner: Mickie James
I love the new finisher. Mickie is all thrilled at retaining her title and feigns sadness over Velvet's misfortune. Christy Hemme catches up with Velvet on the way to the back and asks how she's feeling right now, and Velvet completely loses it, crying and saying that she thought her knee was okay and she fought so hard to get this rematch, and she's heartbroken right now. Velvet starts hobbling to the back, and the loud ovation she gets is cut short so we can see video packages about TJ Perkins and the Main Event Mafia.
Speaking of the MEM, Sting and Angle are in the garage, and out walks Bobby Roode. He stops for a moment to look purposefully into the distance, then walks off as Sting and Angle smile satisfactorily.
Hulk Hogan is backstage with the referee who officiated the X Division Title match earlier, asking him for any clues as to who was under that Suicide mask. The referee had no idea and says it looked just like Suicide, so Hogan tells him to find whoever it was and tell him that either he's unmasking by the end of the night, or he's stripping him of the X Division Title. The referee tells Hogan he's got it and zips off to find his quarry.
Bound For Glory Series: Bobby Roode vs Brutus Magnus
Magnus is currently leading the series thanks to his submission win last week, and he controls the early part of the match, causing Roode to take a breather on the floor. Magnus goes after him, but Roode gets the advantage as they come back inside and catapults Magnus into the bottom rope. Roode tries to ground Magnus with a chinlock, but Magnus mounts a comeback, catches Roode coming off the second rope, and powers him into a Michinoku Driver. Magnus hits the top rope elbow, but Roode kicks out at 2. Magnus charges Roode and runs right into a spinebuster, Roode goes for the PErfectplex but Magnus hits another Michinoku Driver and gets the win!
Winner: Brutus Magnus
Wow, there's probably the biggest win of Magnus' singles career! The crowd loved that one, and he now is even further in the lead with 17 points. Meanwhile, BFG Series 2011 winner Bobby Roode starts off 0-2 in this year's competition.
Bully Ray and Doc burst into the locker room and asks a bunch of prelim guys if any of them is Suicide, and says that if any of them are, it's going to be career suicide.
James Storm and Gunner are in the ring, and Storm says that tag team wrestling is a science, and they may not look like a couple of scientists, but he has been called a chemist because booze and girls equals a good time. But having held the TNA World Tag Team Title 12 times, he knows that you don't have to like or get along with your partner, as long as you're both there to watch each other's back, that's all that counts. That's why he chose Gunner to be his partner, and now we're looking at the new World Tag Team Champions. Robbie E's music interrupts Storm, and Robbie comes out with Tara and Jessie Godderz to tell Storm that they're looking at the two toughest guys in the locker room, and Storm made a big mistake choosing Gunner over him to be his partner. Robbie says they're looking at the future of tag team wrestling...Robbie E and Jessie Godderz, the BROMANCE! Storm asks him if they're a thing now, and Robbie says he didn't mean they are a bromance, but Robbie swears they said "Bromans" and not "Bromance" even though I heard Bromance. Jessie says besides, they have a hot chick, but Storm tells Gunner that's what we call a butterface, causing the crowd to chant butterface at Tara. Jessie takes a swing and Gunner lays him out, so Robbie and Tara powder out while Storm says he's sorry about their damn luck.
The Dumbass Cameraman is backstage asking Sting and Angle about the fake Suicide, and they say they should go talk to the mystery man right now.
It's main event time!
Bound For Glory Series: Ken Anderson vs Samoa Joe
Well, this is the last segment, so that obviously means that Samoa Joe will be revealed as Suicide. Okay, maybe not, but that doesn't stop him from pounding Anderson into a greasy spot on the mat as soon as the match starts. Joe unmercifully unloads on Anderson, but Anderson drop toeholds Joe into the corner and then takes him to the outside to dish out more punishment. They come back inside and Joe gets the advantage, but Aces & Eights comes out to ringside to distract Joe and allow Anderson to hit a DDT for 2. Sting and Kurt Angle run out to attack Aces & Eights, allowing Joe to get the Kokina Clutch and tap Anderson out.
Winner: Samoa Joe
And Joe's submission strategy returns to this year's BFG Series to net him some more big points. Sting and Angle come into the ring, hug Joe, and raise his hands as he's revealed as the third member of the Main Event Mafia.
We come back from commercial and the Main Event Mafia is backstage congratulating Joe on his win and awarding him his honorary suit. Joe says that if they're planning to find out who's running things around here, he's in.
Hulk Hogan comes out and says that tonight was supposed to be about the X Division Title and who would face Bully Ray, but instead we wound up with the mystery of who is under the Suicide mask. Hogan calls Suicide out and tells him to pull that mask off, but Suicide shakes his head no. Hogan says if that's the way he wants it, then...oh wait, Bully Ray comes out to the ring and says that for the first time in a long time, he and Dad are on the same page because they both want to know who's under the mask. Bubba tells him to take the mask off now, Suicide shakes his head no, and Bubba says it doesn't matter because it's all about what he does with that title shot. The only reason he won the title is because he put the fear of God...no, the fear of Bully Ray in Chris Sabin, and he tells Suicide to do himself a favor and walk away. Hogan also says he's sick of the crap, and tells Suicide to take the mask off now. Suicide says he was in darkness and felt the pain, and we're given choices and he can do either the easy thing or the right thing. Bubba asks the fans if they know who he is, but the real question is if Bubba knows who he is. Bubba doesn't seem to care, so Suicide says he's the man who beat him once before, then he pulls off the mask to reveal that Austin Aries was under the mask! He says he's the man who started Option C and he's the man who used it to win the World Title last year, and now he's the man who's going to do it again! Wow, great finish and I did not see that coming!

CM PUNK UPDATE

TMZ.com reported that CM Punk was awarded a two year restraining order against his mother after filing paperwork asking the court for assistance in an ongoing issue of harassment and threats his mother had made against him.

TMZ.com's story noted that Punk also asked that his mother be barred from attending any WWE events but whether that request was granted, they have not confirmed.

TOP ACT GONE FROM RING OF HONOR, ROH TITLE UPDATE!

ROH champion Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe have both wrestled their final matches for Ring of Honor, possibly for good.

As we broke on Monday in the PWInsider Elite section, Ring of Honor ran an angle over the weekend where Jay Briscoe was beaten down by SCUM, writing him out of the promotion. Mark Briscoe was written out with the story being that he was injured wrestling Jay at the Best in the World iPPV.
The exit had been the planned departure for the brothers for some time and pre-dated the Jay Briscoe Twitter debacle from a month ago. It was not something rushed at the last second and was planned prior to Jay winning the ROH title over Wrestlemania weekend.
The implication from different sources is that Briscoe vs. Briscoe taking place in Baltimore (not far from their hometown in Delaware, with TONS of family members in attendance) was designed to be something of a send-off for the pair, who have been with the promotion since their first event in February 2002. This past weekend's ROH TV was entirely dedicated to the brothers as well.
With WWE hiring so many new talents in advance of their WWE Performance Center opening on 7/8, the initial belief among ROH talents was that the Briscoes had finished with ROH en route to signing a WWE deal. WWE sources have stated no deal is on the table, but admitted there was past interest. It's possible the Briscoe Twitter issues may have led to WWE pulling back on that interest, given the magnifying glass the company is under politically, but no one has definitively told me that.
As noted on Monday in the Elite section, at the very least, the brothers are taking a hiatus from the company and will not be back anytime in the near future. They are not currently figured into any short-term plans for ROH, although that obviously could change at any time.
As of today, the Briscoes are not under ROH contract. That said, should they not sign elsewhere, it stands to reason that at some point they will be back in some capacity. Both Briscoes have long stated that being around to see their children grow up was of the utmost importance to them, something that the insanity of a WWE schedule would not allow as much freedom to do in comparison to working for ROH. They are pretty much legends within the company and can walk back in for a top position at whim.
The current status of the ROH title is also up in the air. ROH sources remain tight-lipped on the belt, but if Jay Briscoe isn't figured into the current plans, obviously the promotion will have to do something. A tournament to crown a new champion seems to be most likely, but that would also break the lineage of the belt for the first time since Low Ki won the championship in June 2002. With ROH TV taped through late July, the promotion will be in no rush to address that situation, since it won't have played out to their TV viewers until then. A lot can change in that much time, but as of now, it would appear we've seen Jay Briscoe's last ROH title defense.
ROH sources indicate they have remained in contact with the Briscoes and all relations between the two sides is 100% amicable. There is absolutely no heat between the two sides, at all.

WWE Extreme Rules PPV Buys Down from Last Year!

- New data from WWE reveals that the 2013 Extreme Rules pay-per-view with Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H did an estimated 228,000 buys. This would be down from the 263,000 buys Extreme Rules 2012 did with Lesnar vs. John Cena.

The Briscoes Leaving ROH for WWE?

- The recent Ring of Honor TV tapings and internet pay-per-view were the last scheduled appearances for The Briscoe Brothers. It's worth noting that Jay currently holds the ROH World Title. There is talk within ROH that the brothers are "headed for greener pastures" which could mean a WWE developmental deal. At the same time, there is some talk that they're just on hiatus but it looks like they're leaving the company.

WWE RAW REPORT: DANIEL BRYAN VERSUS RANDY ORTON; JOHN CENA ADDRESSES MARK HENRY; CM PUNK AND PAUL HEYMAN EXPLAIN THEIR SITUATION; WWE TITLE MONEY IN THE BANK MATCH PARTICIPANTS ANNOUNCED; MARK HENRY DOES WHAT HE DO; #1 CONTENDER FOR TAG TITLES; AND DANIEL BRYAN VERSUS RANDY ORTON

Last week, we saw a man say that he was retiring, but it was a trap to get him a WWE Title Match at Money in the Bank. Last week, we saw a man suffer a shoulder injury during a match, but he refused to quit until he was forced to do so. Tonight, we get our third edition of that match in eight days. Last week, we saw a family that was at odds with itself over who was in charge. Who will be in charge this week? Last week, CM Punk returned to Raw and he was shown what happens when you are not a client of Paul Heyman. Will Curtis Axel put the exclamation point on what happened last week.

We are in North Charleston, South Carolina and your announcers are John ‘One Cup to Rule them All’ Layfield, Michael ‘Let’s hope the WWE App does not buffer’ Cole, and Jerry ‘How about putting a 100x100 in front of me tonight’ Lawler.
Daniel Bryan has something to say before his match with Randy Orton . . . again. He says before we start the match, he wants to say that there are some people who have accused him of having some sort of complex. Some people say that he is a walking example of the Little Man Syndrome. He has been hearing it for years. People question the fact that he is a wrestler. He says that people think that he is an extra in The Hobbit.
Daniel says that he was not an extra in The Hobbit. Whether it was teaming with Kane or his time in NXT, he has been called the ‘weak link’. Daniel says that those people are morons. He has fought toe-to-toe with Randy Orton twice. A weak link would have taken the count out victory and ran away. That is not enough for him. He will not be satisfied until he pins Randy Orton or makes him tap out in the middle of the ring.
Will it happen tonight? YES
Orton takes the mic from Daniel and he says that he came out to tell Daniel, straight to his face, Shut up and fight. Orton with a punch but Bryan with punches and a knee that sends Orton to the floor. The referee holds both men back and
Match Number One: Daniel Bryan versus Randy Orton
Orton with a kick and punches but Bryan with punches of his own. Orton with more punches and the referee warns him. Bryan with kicks in the corner. Orton throws Bryan to the floor and Orton with a clothesline on the floor. Orton sends Bryan over the announce table. Orton with forearms to the chest and the referee tries to separate both men. Bryan kicks Orton and then Bryan with a knee to Orton and Bryan connects with the referee so he calls for the bell.
Double Disqualification
Orton and Bryan continue their battle and the officials have to separate them but it does not work too well.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Brad and Vickie are in the office and Daniel Bryan cannot believe that there was a double disqualification. He says that this ends tonight. He wants a rematch and it ends tonight.
Brad says that it does not end tonight and they have a full show.
Daniel tells Vickie to give him a match or he wants a match against Brad Maddox.
Vickie tells Daniel he’s got it. He has his match with Randy Orton.
Vickie laughs at Brad’s reaction to Vickie’s announcement.
Vickie is silenced when Vince enters. Vince says that some don’t think Daniel Bryan is a superstar because of his size and actions. Vickie wonders what Vince thinks.
Match Number Two: Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes versus Sheamus and Christian
Cody and Christian start things off and they lock up. Cody with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Cody celebrates his accomplishment so far. Christian with a slingshot to the floor and Sandow distracts Christian long enough to allow Cody to recover and send Christian into the ring steps.
Cody with kicks and Sandow tags in and he kicks him and then drops knees to the ribs and he gets a near fall. Sandow with a quarter nelson and chin lock. Sandow with a punch and side Russian leg sweep followed by the Elbow of Disdain and he connects and gets a near fall.
Cody tags in and he kicks Christian. Cody with a short arm clothesline for a near fall. Cody with kicks and a delayed vertical gourdbuster and he gets a near fall. Cody taunts Christian and Christian tries for the Killswitch but Cody counters and he puts Christian on the ropes for the kick to the midsection. Cody tries for the Alabama Slam but Christian escapes. They each go for clotheslines and both are down.
Sheamus with two running double sledges followed by running Sandow into the turnbuckles and then he hits the running knee lift. Sheamus tries for the Finlay slam but Sandow gets to the apron. Sheamus with forearms to the chest and Sandow falls into his corner and Cody tags in. Cody runs into a Brogue Kick and Sheamus gets the three count.

Match Number Three: Kaitlyn versus Aksana
Aksana with a kick and forearms and then she sends Kaitlyn into the turnbuckles and she kicks Kaitlyn some more. Kaitlyn with a shoulder tackle and Kaitlyn’s music starts to play.
Kaitlyn is confused and she kicks Aksana to the floor.
AJ comes out dressed like Kaitlyn. AJ poses and Aksana with a rollup but she can only get a near fall. Kaitlyn with a spear for the three count.

AJ/Kaitlyn says that not only did she lose her title to the great AJ Lee, she lost her dignity. She actually thought someone liked her and that she had a secret admirer.
Big E Langston comes out and he is wearing the same shirt and has the same flowers from a few weeks ago. AJ and Big E recreate the big reveal.
AJ/Kaitlyn says that she has always wanted to find a man whose voice is as deep as hers and has legs as big as hers. For now, she is going to be the butt of all of AJ’s jokes.

They lock up and Del Rio with a side head lock take down but Jericho with a head scissors and Del Rio escapes. They lock up again and Del Rio with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Jericho with a drop kick and chops to Del Rio. Jericho with a snap mare and kick to the back. Jericho with a suplex and he gets a near fall.
Del Rio with a kick and punches in the corner. Del Rio with a running enzuigiri to the head. Del Rio runs into a boot and Jericho hits a missile drop kick from the turnbuckles for a near fall. Del Rio with a punch and Jericho sends Del Rio over the top rope to the floor.
Jericho injures his knee going to the floor when Del Rio ducks when Jericho goes for the springboard drop kick. Del Rio sends Jericho into the ringside barrier. We go to commercial.

Jericho gets back into the ring and Del Rio focuses on the head. Del Rio with a suplex for a near fall. Del Rio with a rear chin lock. Jericho with forearms and a chop. Del Rio with a chop and they go back and forth. Jericho misses a drop kick when Del Rio holds on to the ropes and Del Rio stomps on Jericho. Del Rio with another boot to the back of the neck but Jericho kicks out.
Del Rio with a snap mare and kick to the back before Del Rio applies a reverse chin lock. Jericho gets to his feet and he punches Del Rio but Del Rio with head butts. Del Rio with an Irish whip to the sternum followed by a step up kick to the back. Del Rio puts Jericho on the turnbuckles and Del Rio sets for a suplex but Jericho knocks him to the mat. Jericho stays on the turnbuckles and hits a cross body but Del Rio kicks out at two.
Jericho with chops and a running forearm followed by a Northern Lights suplex and he gets a near fall. Del Rio with a back heel kick and he sends Jericho into the turnbuckles but Del Rio misses a shoulder in the corner and Del Rio hits the ring post. Del Rio blocks the Codebreaker but Jericho is able to roll through and he tries for the Walls of Jericho but Del Rio escapes. Del Rio with a round kick to the head and Jericho kicks out.
Del Rio signals for the cross arm breaker and he tries for the float over but Jericho escapes and Jericho with a bulldog but Del Rio gets his knees up for the Lionsault and Del Rio applies the Cross Arm Breaker and Jericho tries to get to the ropes and he is able to use the ropes to get into the Walls of Jericho. Ricardo hits Jericho in the back of the head with the bucket. The referee calls for the bell.

After the match, Ziggler attacks Del Rio and Jericho gives Ricardo a Codebreaker while Ziggler gives Del Rio a Zig Zag.
Jericho and Ziggler stare each other down and Jericho says something to Ziggler and starts to walk away. Ziggler with a Zig Zag to Jericho.
Brad and Vickie talk about something and Vickie says that she is canceling the match. Hunter enters and he says that he heard a nasty rumor about Vickie canceling the match. Vickie says that Vince is right about Daniel being too small and having psychological issues.
Hunter says that some people might think that way, but some do. The WWE Universe is what matters. They want to see Daniel Bryan versus Randy Orton tonight. Hunter tells Vickie that he wants her to over deliver. He wants Vickie to let the WWE Universe choose the type of match.
Hunter comments on Brad’s shirt and he asks if they make them in men’s sizes.

We are back and Jerry Lawler is in the ring with Vickie Guerrero and Brad Maddox for the next ceremony. Who is on the cover of the WWE 2K14 game. Jerry announces a contest to allow the WWE Universe to design and create the cover for this game. The winning submission will be on the opposite side of the cover.
Vickie takes over and she says that the stipulations for the WWE Universe to choose for the Daniel Bryan versus Randy Orton match are Street Fight, Lumberjack Match, or Falls Count Anywhere. Vickie has her own cover for the video game and it shows the great leadership in the WWE. It is a cover with the McMahons. Brad says that he has his own cover and it is of Brad with CM Punk and John Cena.
Jerry interrupts and he shows us the cover for the video game. It features The Rock.
Ryback is walking slowly in the back as we go to commercial.
Match Number Five: Ryback versus Great Khali (with Hornswoggle and Natalya)
They lock up and Khali backs Ryback into the corner and he chops Ryback. Khali kicks Ryback in the corner and then he chops Ryback again. Khali kicks Ryback some more but Ryback puts Khali in the corner and Ryback with shoulders. Khali with boots to Ryback.
Ryback with punches to the midsection but Khali with a clothesline and Ryback is staggered. Khali sends Ryback into the turnbuckles and Khali with elbows to the neck. Khali with a punch to the top of the head and Ryback is down. Khali with a kick and then he sets for the choke slam but Ryback with a kick and then he gets Khali up for the marching muscle buster and he hits it and gets the three count.

We are back and it is time for the man who was given the World’s Strongest Slam by a man in a Salmon colored jacket to make his way to the ring.
John comments on the lively bunch in the crowd tonight. He says that those who know the WWE know that he is holding the WWE Title. Tens of thousands of men have tried to chase this dream, but only 43 men have held the title. Whether it was for 8 years like Bruno Sammartino or for one night like Rey Mysterio, it puts you in an elite fraternity among your peers.
Over the years, many men have tried to do some crazy and dastardly things to get the title. Short cuts do not equal respect. People have tried to buy the title, steal the title. He has seen people crack under the pressure of the WWE Universe to chase the title.
Even Vince McMahon felt that he needed to be WWE champion to justify himself to the WWE Universe. Last week we saw how low a man could sink to chase the title.
Mark disgraced his family and cheated the WWE Universe. Mark’s speech was an utter disaster for everyone who has had to tell the crowd they cannot do this again. Names like Edge, Shawn Michaels, and Ric Flair. Important moments in WWE history and Mark made a mockery of all of them.
He understands why Mark did it. He has been here for 17 years and he realizes that the door is closing and time is running out. Mark will not have a legacy unless he holds that title.
John says that in order to hold the title, Mark has to go through him. John reminds us that he is the WWE Champion. The best part of Mark’s speech was when he gave John back the belt and he said that he has to earn the title. Everything else was a load of crap. The only thing that Mark has earned is the right to have his teeth knocked down his throat.
Mark has shown that he will sink to the lowest of lows to get the title. It is still whoop ass season and we have three weeks to find out what everyone knows and that is the Champ is here.

Match Number Six: Brodus Clay and Tensai (with Cameron and Naomi) versus Jimmy and Jey Uso versus Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal (with Heath Slater) in a Number One Contender Match
Mahal with a kick and punch to Jey followed by an Irish whip but Jey with an enzuigiri to Drew. Jimmy tags in and Jey with an Irish whip into a clothesline and a super kick. Jimmy misses a clothesline to Tensai and Tensai with punches and he hits the Baldo Bomb but Jey breaks it up. Jinder sends Jey to the foor and then Tensai takes care of Jinder and Drew. Clay with a splash off the apron onto 3MB. Tensai with a senton to Jimmy but Jimmy kicks out. Jimmy with a super kick followed by a Samoan drop and Jey with the superfly splash for the three count.
Winners: Jimmy and Jey Uso
After the match, The Shield make their way into the aisle to confront the men who will face Roman and Seth for the tag titles.
We take a look at The Call, which will be on DVD tomorrow, and it is the video from when the movie came out with David Otunga, the Coffee Mug of Doom, and Kane.
Paul Heyman is walking briskly in the back and we go to commercial.
We are back and Paul Heyman makes his way to the ring and we take a look back at what happened to CM Punk after he beat Alberto Del Rio.
Paul introduces himself and he says that for seven days he has been dogged by everyone about what happened when Brock Lesnar confronted CM Punk. Paul says that he has ignored all of Punk’s calls and texts and he says that the way to settle this is to do it in the ring. Tonight, CM Punk will get the answers.
The public and Paul Heyman await CM Punk’s presence.
Punk makes his way to the ring and he asks Paul if he wants to air the dirty laundry in public. Punk wants to bring up the reasons why he has questions. It is due to Paul’s rotten reputation in the business and as a human being why he is a Paul Heyman guy.
In 2005, after wrestling around the world and generating a buzz for himself, he was signed to a WWE Contract. John Laurinaitis was the VP of Talent Relations at the time. Johnny thought it would be smart to shuffle him off to Louisville to go through WWE Developmental. Because he burned a lot of bridges and pissed off people up here, Paul was in charge of Developmental.
Paul was set up to fail because no matter what anyone says now, Punk was not supposed to succeed. There were people in a managerial position who would send Paul e-mails and texts to cut the kid loose because he is not what they are looking for.
Paul was told never to consider bringing Punk to Raw or Smackdown. Despite Paul’s track record and his track record of being a liar and manipulator, Paul never fired him. Paul saw something in him and believed in him. Paul’s first pick when ECW came back was him.
Punk says that he doesn’t want to bore everyone with the dirty laundry between two friends. Punk has two things to say. Punk wants Paul to tell Brock Lesnar that he is coming for him. He doesn’t care if Brock is bigger or stronger than him, Brock is not better than him. Punk says that he is the best wrestler on the planet. Paul knows it better than everyone else. Brock doesn’t have the balls to be here and hear it from him. Punk says that there is no one more sadistic or more relentless than him. He will do what it takes to bring Paul’s beast incarnate down.
Punk wants to bring up the elephant in the room, what happened last week. No matter how many warnings or horror stories he heard about Paul, Paul never did him wrong. Punk wants to know if Brock attacked him on his own or if Paul wanted it done after what was said at Payback.
Punk wants Paul to tell the truth for the first time. Punk says that he can take it. He will accept it if it was done due to tough love. He wants Paul to swear on his children about whether he had anything to do it or not. He wants Paul to tell the truth for the first time in his life.
Paul says that he never wanted it to be this way between them. Since Punk demands the truth and because Punk can see through him. Because as Paul’s best friend, Punk deserves the truth. Paul will tell the truth straight to Punk’s face.
On his children, he did not know that Brock Lesnar would be at Raw last week. That is the very same response he used to get from the McMahons and John Laurinaitis when he would tell them about how Punk was the next champ. Paul says that Brock fulfilled his contractual obligations at Extreme Rules. The moment Punk said that Brock Lesnar needed Paul’s help, he picked a fight. He picked a fight with Brock Lesnar.
It is a fact that it was bound to happen because of the professional jealousy between both men. Paul says that he never suggested having Punk and Brock as a tag team. He tells Punk to think of the money they could have made, if only for one night. Paul kept them apart because of the professional jealousy between the two men. Just like in 2005 and 2006, he made an exception to the rule. Business came second and their friendship came first.
Paul says that he accepts himself for all of his flaws. Paul says that he will walk down that aisle with Punk one day. He will give Punk his space. He will walk down the aisle with him when he challenges for the title and when he is in the main event at Wrestlemania. That is his dream. No matter how unpopular it is to hear, he loves CM Punk. He is his best friend in the world. He will screw up his dreams because he cannot be at ringside with Punk because he needs his space and time for himself? He will never represent against Punk and that includes Brock Lesnar. Paul will deal with Brock.
Everyone told Paul to get rid of Punk in 2005 and 2006 but he said no. Now everyone is telling Punk to get rid of Paul. Paul says that his fate is in Punk’s hands. He tells Punk that it is his move.
Punk stands motionless in the ring and he thinks of what to say to Paul. Punk says that he is sorry that he doubted Paul. Punk hugs Paul but Punk has a look in his eyes that might question his devotion.
John, Michael, and Jerry comment on whether they think Paul was involved and John wonders if Brock went rogue.
Match Number Seven: Darren Young (with Titus O’Neil) versus CM Punk
Punk with a waist lock and take down into a reverse chin lock. Young backs Punk into the corner and he punches Punk. Punk with forearms and punches followed by elbows and a suplex into a cover for a near fall. Punk with kicks to Young in the corner and then Punk works on the knee.
Punk with an Irish whip but Young’s knee gives out. Young with a knee to Punk followed by a hard Irish whip. Young with kicks to Punk followed by a clothesline. Young gets a near fall. Young with a reverse chin lock and he tries to rearrange Punk’s face. Young with a cravate. Punk with a punch but Young with a side head ock. Young with an over the head belly-to-belly for a near fall.
Young with elbows to Punk but Punk with punches and chops followed by kicks and forearms. Punk with an Irish whip but he misses a splash into the corner and Young gets a near fall. Young taunts Punk and he connects with knees to the head. Young with a reverse chin lock. Punk with a belly-to-back suplex and both men are down.
Punk with the running knee into the corner followed by a short arm clothesline for a near fall. Punk goes up top but Young stops him and he drops Punk on the top rope. Punk with a shoulder from the apron and then he hits a springboard clothesline for a near fall.
Punk says that it is time to Go To Sleep but he limps a little. Young gets Punk on his shoulders and he hits the double knee gutbuster but Punk kicks out at two. Punk with a round kick to the head and he applies the Anaconda Vice and Young taps out.
Winner: CM Punk
After the match, Titus goes after Punk and Punk fights him off. Young joins in and they have a two on one advantage until Curtis Axel makes his way to the ring. Punk with a round kick to Titus and Axel takes care of Young.
Punk and Axel are in the ring and Paul enters to try to calm things down.
Axel and Heyman leave.
Vickie is on the phone and she is trying get Brad to answer her calls. Stephanie enters the office. She says that no participants in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match have been announced yet for the WWE Title Match. Stephanie says that she will do it after Vickie says that she has been so busy.

We are back and The Bellas make their way to ringside to give out copies of the latest WWE Magazine.
Stephanie McMahon makes her way to the ring to make an announcement about Money in the Bank and the WWE Title Ladder Match. She says that this is the time of the year that every WWE Superstar dreams of climbing the ladder to grab the briefcase and guarantee a title victory.
The first person in the match is the first person to win it twice . . . CM Punk. Next is Daniel Bryan. The third man is Sheamus. The next participant is Randy Orton. Christian is the fifth person in the match. The next person in the match is Kane. The final person in the match is Rob Van Dam.
Vickie says that Stephanie did an amazing job and she wonders why they didn’t do it.
Ryback asks Vickie and Brad how easily he beat Khali tonight and how easy he pinned John Cena. He wants Vickie to remove the Henry/Cena match and give him his rematch.
Chris Jericho enters and he says that he deserves better after being attacked by three men and then he is kept out of the Money in the Bank Match, the match he created.
Ryback reminds Chris that he interrupted him and he tells Chris to cry him a river. He says that he can eat Jericho alive.
Jericho wonders if Ryback is now a cannibal.
Brad says that this isn’t the time or place . . .
Vickie yells Excuse Me and she reminds them that she is their boss. They will meet at Money in the Bank.
Mark Henry walks in the back and he is more reserved colors tonight.

We are back and Paul is in the locker room with Punk and Punk wants to know if he can be any clearer? Paul says that two people jumped Punk so he had Curtis Axel came out to help him.
Paul says that he has fixed it. He talked to Vickie and everything is fixed. Next week, The Prime Time Players will face Curtis Axel and CM Punk.
Punk says that he will do it but he will prove that he doesn’t need any help. He will take care of Brock Lesnar and he will win Money in the Bank.
It is time to Vote for the stipulation in the Daniel Bryan/Randy Orton rematch. Do it or Mark Henry wears that salmon jacket again.
Mark Henry makes his way to the ring because that is what he do.
Mark says that he fooled each and every one of y’all. He saw all of the Mark Henry signs. He heard the chants. More than anything, he saw people cry. Mark says that he has been nominated for an Academy Award. People like Quentin Tarantino and Steven Spielberg have been contacting him. Even Tyler Perry. That is great, but that is not what he wants or deserves.
People have been upset with him because he used his friends. He used his family. He used the other WWE Superstars. Mark says that he is not going to apologize to any of them. People have been telling him his entire life, how he should live.
Mark, you are a big kid, don’t hurt the little children. . . please. Mark, you work hard and you go to the Olympics and you win for America . . . please.
What is going to happen at Money in the Bank is a no good, dirty, filthy, lying, cheating Mark Henry is going to show up. He tells everyone that they are puppets and they will do what he tells them.

Orton misses the clothesline this time and then Bryan with kicks to Orton. Orton kicks Bryan and he sends Bryan into the ring steps. Bryan kicks Orton from the ring.
Bryan with the suicide dive attempt but Orton with a chair to the head and Bryan collapses in the ring and we go to commercial.
We are back and Orton punches Bryan and Bryan is still moving very little. We see Bryan getting back body dropped onto the ramp during the commercial break. Orton brings a table into the ring. Orton with a punch and he drops Bryan on the top rope. Orton sets up the table in the corner. Bryan punches Orton to avoid going through the table.
Orton with an Irish whip and Bryan flips over Orton and then he hits the flying clothesline. Bryan with a running drop kick into the corner. Bryan with kicks to the chest. Orton stops Bryan by throwing a chair at him and Bryan goes down. Orton gets a near fall. Orton chokes Bryan in the ropes. Orton tries to suplex Bryan through the table on the floor but Bryan blocks it. Bryan with a kick and he drops Orton on the top rope. Bryan with a drop kick and Orton stays on the apron. Bryan with another drop kick and Orton stays on the apron.
Bryan slides through Orton’s legs to the floor and he power bombs Orton through the table. Orton is rolled back into the ring but Orton kicks out. Bryan gets a kendo stick because everyone needs to use one in a street fight. Bryan hits Orton with the stick while alternating with kicks.
Orton blocks Bryan’s kick and Orton with an Exploder suplex through the table in the corner. Orton gets a near fall. Orton punches Bryan but Bryan punches back. Orton with a head butt and Bryan with a head butt of his own. Orton with a head butt and Bryan with a punch. They go back and forth with punches. Orton with a drop kick. Orton puts Bryan on the top turnbuckle to set up for the superplex but Bryan with punches to stop Orton.
Orton falls off the turnbuckles and Bryan comes off but Orton catches him and hits a power bomb and Orton gets a near fall. Orton punches Bryan. Bryan tries for the No Lock but Orton tries to block it but Bryan is able to lock it in. Orton crawls to get the kendo stick and he hits Bryan with it to escape the hold. Orton continues to hit Bryan with the kendo stick.
Bryan is on the apron and Orton sets for the IEDDT. Orton twists to the mat but Bryan counters an RKO attempt with a back slide. Bryan with a kick and kendo stick shots to the arm. Bryan with the No Lock. Orton reaches for the kendo stick and he grabs it and Orton hits Bryan with it but Bryan uses the Kendo stick for more leverage and Orton taps out.
Winner: Daniel Bryan
After the match, Bryan celebrates his victory.
Orton stands in the ring and then he stares down Bryan. Orton offers his hand and Bryan shakes it. Orton leaves the ring and the celebration continues.

Impact quarter-hour TV ratings - inside the numbers on last Thursday's show featuring Angle vs. Styles, Sting, more

TNA Impact on Thursday, June 13 officially scored a 1.03 rating off a first hour 1.06 rating and second hour 1.01 rating.

It marks two out of three weeks since returning to 9:00 p.m. EST timeslot where the second hour has scored lower than the third hour.

Also, the quarter-hour ratings trend indicates viewers are going through an adjustment period being asked to watch from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. EST, as opposed to 8:00 to 10:00, as the final 30 minutes of this week's Impact were the lowest-rated of the show. It's worth noting Impact was opposed by the NBA Finals, which affected TNA's final half-hour.

Impact peaked at the start of the show with a 1.10 rating for Hulk Hogan bringing out Jeff Hardy and setting up the Bound for Glory Series qualifying matches on the show. Impact got a slight rebound to a 1.08 rating at the top of the second hour, but that was the closest to a 1.10 for the remainder of the show.

First Hour Break Down

Q1: Impact scored a 1.10 rating for Hogan, Hardy, Bobby Roode, Aces & Eights, and one commercial 12 minutes into the segment. This was TNA's recent top-of-the-second-hour.

Q2: Impact dipped to a 1.02 rating for James Storm & Gunner vs. Bad Influence, Crimson returning to TNA, and one commercial.

Q3: Impact increased to a 1.07 rating for Crimson vs. Joseph Park and a lengthy Knockouts segment, plus one commercial.

Q4: Impact slipped to a 1.05 rating for Magnus vs. Matt Morgan vs. Rob Terry vs. Kenny King, plus two full commercial breaks.

Second Hour Break Down

Q5: Impact increased slightly to a 1.08 rating - not much of a top-of-the-hour ratings bump - for Sting returning to television to announce the Main Event Mafia is returning, one commercial, and ring introductions for the next match.

BOY ACCUSED OF MURDERING HIS SISTER CLAIMS HE WAS PRACTICING WWE MOVES, WWE RESPONDS

The local Louisiana media picked up the story of a 13 year old boy from Terrytown, LA (New Orleans suburb) who was charged with murdering his sister.

The boy claimed he had been performing pro wrestling moves on his sister. She had been complaining of her stomach hurting and they continued after that, stopping only after a phone rang. The 13 year old boy called 911 when he realized his sister wasn't breathing while laying on a couch. EMTS responded but were unable to revive the child.
Authorities interviewed the boy, who discussed using several wrestling moves, including an elbow-drop on his sister. He also admitted he knew that pro wrestling was "fake" (the term used in the story.)
However, authorities did not believe the death was accidental. According to a FOX 8 story, the girl's autopsy listed injuries caused by severe blunt force trauma to the body and multiple internal injuries including broken ribs, lacerations to the liver, and internal bleeding.
The boy has been officially charged with second degree murder and it's not believed that this was a case of him accidentally injuring his sister while playing.
WWE issued the following statement in response to the incident:
The death of Viloude Louis is a tragedy, and our condolences go out to her family.
WWE urges restraint in reporting this unfortunate incident as if it were the result of a WWE wrestling move. As in similar cases, criminal intent to harm and a lack of parental supervision have been the factors resulting in a tragic death.
Authorities have already charged the accused with second-degree murder and determined that this was not an accidental death due to a wrestling move."
On their TV broadcasts and DVD releases, WWE regularly runs warning announcements regarding the dangers of the maneuvers on their programming. WWE sets those warnings on the DVD so that they can not to skipped past.

Another executive is gone from the company. Mike Weber, who headed up Marketing and was a hell of a nice guy, is the latest departure.

DANIEL BRYAN UPDATE, WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO GO DOWN ON RAW LAST NIGHT & WHAT HAPPENED BACKSTAGE!!

The finish to Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton was legitimate last night in that the company stopped the match after Bryan suffered a stinger executing a missile dropkick.

The original planned finish was for Bryan to defeat Orton cleanly to help set up a planned main event run this summer. They are building to Bryan vs. John Cena for the WWE title on a PPV.
When Bryan returned to the back, he was "irate" according to a source and complained to Triple H that the match should not have been stopped. The two got into a loud argument over it. The argument went down in the gorilla position with a lot of eyeballs on it and people were shocked because Bryan is generally soft spoken and good natured and he was standing up to one of the most powerful men in the company.
Bryan complained that he's worked all over the world and has worked hurt and knows when he can still go and when he cannot. Triple H's argument was that they were protecting Bryan and they don't want anyone working hurt. Obviously, the company sees something major in Bryan and wants him ready for his push.
The two eventually apologized to each other.
WWE posted the video of Triple H online (we we mentioned earlier today), explaining what happened as a way to use the legitimate finish and tie it into their storylines going forward.
Bryan is backstage at tonight's Smackdown taping in Dayton, Ohio and is advertised to wrestle Dean Ambrose. He is scheduled to work.

Hunter with a kick and punches in the corner and the referee has to pull Hunter out of the corner. That does not last long because Hunter kicks Curtis. Hunter with a suplex and he gets a near fall.
Vince McMahon’s music plays and he struts his way to the ring. Hunter with a side head lock. Hunter sends Axel to the floor and Vince gets a mic and he calls for the bell.
Winner: Curtis Axel (by Royal Proclamation Disqualification)
After the match, Hunter demands that the match be restarted.
Match Number One Part Two: Triple H versus Curtis Axel
Hunter with a side head lock and Vince comes back to the ring. Hunter with a shoulder and then he looks at Vince announce a forfeit.
Winner: Curtis Axel (By McForfeit)
Hunter restarts the match one more time as a 60 Minute Iron Man Match.
Match Number One Part Three: Curtis Axel versus Triple H in a 60 Minute Iron Man Match
Vince tells Axel to leave and then Vince leaves with the mic and the ring bell.

We are back and Triple H wants to know from Stephanie where Vince is. Hunter says that Vince crossed the line and he embarrassed him. Stephanie says that he knows that her dad was wrong. Stephanie tells Hunter not to hurt him. Stephanie reminds Hunter about Vince playing with their kids.
Match Number Two: Kane versus Dean Ambrose in a Non Title Match
Kane misses a punch and Ambrose with punches of his own. Kane sends Ambrose into the corner and Kane connects with a boot to the head and he gets a near fall. Kane with a drop kick and he gets another near fall. Kane sends Ambrose into the corner and he punches and connects with a knee. Ambrose with shoulders in the corner and he runs Kane’s eyes across the top rope. Kane catches Ambrose on a cross body and connects with a back breaker.
Kane with a knee drop to the back followed by a kick. Kane with an uppercut followed by a hard Irish whip into the corner. Kane with a back breaker and he stretches Ambrose over his knee.
We have a ring bell back and Ambrose with head butts but Kane with a kick. Ambrose with a thrust to the throat but Kane sends Ambrose through the ropes to the floor. Vince McMahon does not come to the ring to stop the match like what happened in the initial match.
Ambrose punches Kane and then he comes off the ring steps and is met with an uppercut.

We are back and Ambrose sends Kane face first into the mat. Kane with a Dragon Sleeper but Kane escapes and he punches Ambrose. Ambrose with punches and then he hits a drop kick with Kane against the ropes. Ambrose with a near fall. Ambrose stomps on the abdomen and he continues to taunt Kane. Ambrose works on the legs and he rubs his elbow against the ribs.
Ambrose with an elbow and then Kane grabs Ambrose on the turnbuckles but Ambrose with punches. Kane avoids a tornado DDT and he sends Ambrose across the ring. Ambrose with a kick to the knee but Kane with uppercuts. Ambrose with a knee to the midsection and Kane with a tilt-a-whirl power slam for a near fall.
Ambrose tries for a sunset flip but Kane picks up Ambrose and sends him into the corner. Kane with a clothesline into the corner. Kane blocks a boot from Ambrose and sends him to the mat and then he hits a side slam for a near fall. Kane goes up top but Ambrose stops Kane with a thrust to the throat. Kane knocks Ambrose off the turnbuckles and Kane with the clothesline and then he sets for the choke slam. Ambrose goes to the floor and Rollins and Reigns attack Kane.

After the match, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan come out to stop Rollins and Reigns.

We are back and Jerry Lawler tells us that Daniel Bryan will be facing The Shield’s Seth Rollins. That means that The Shield’s Roman Reigns will face Randy Orton tonight.
Michael Cole reminds us of the issues between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan from Smackdown and the post match RKO because Randy had boo boo face over an accidental drop kick when Rollins moved.
Daniel tells Orton it was on purpose. Orton admits that it was on purpose. Orton says that he was not going to let Bryan drop kick him.
Kane tells Bryan that this is not a fight they want to get in and Bryan starts to suggest a conspiracy. Kane reminds them that they have matches against The Shield tonight. Orton and Bryan argue until Vickie Guerrero stops by.
Vickie says that they will be facing Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins for the tag titles. Vickie says that it is not Kane and Daniel, it is Daniel and Randy Orton.
Orton and Bryan walk away and Kane says that this doesn’t make any sense.
Vickie tells Kane that he will be facing Dean Ambrose for the United States title. Kane tells Vickie that he always liked her and he hugs Vickie.

We are back with a Raw Rewind: Fandango interrupting the Barrett/Miz match from last week.
We find out that Fandango suffered an injury and as a result is not medically cleared to wrestle so it will be Wade Barrett versus Miz.

Match Number Four: Miz versus Cody Rhodes
Miz punches and kicks Cody and follows with a running knee lift and a boot to the head. Miz with the Awesome Clothesline into the corner and then he goes up top but Cody moves and Cody clips the knee and then he works on the knee and stomps on the midsection. Cody with a gourdbuster and he gets a near fall.
Cody with a step over toe hold but Miz with punches to try to get out of the hold. Cody sends Miz into the corner and then Cody kicks Miz in the injured leg and he gets a near fall. Cody returns to the knee and the step over toe hold. Cody tries for an atomic drop onto the knee but Miz rolls through and he applies the figure four leg lock and Cody taps out.
Winner: Miz
After the match, Paul Heyman comes out and he says that even though Fandango cannot wrestle on Sunday, there will be a Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Title. Paul says that the third man will be the man who beat Triple H twice in one episode of Raw . . . Curtis Axel.
Curtis gets on the mic and he tells Paul that the perfect ending to the match on Sunday will be him becoming the new Intercontinental Champion.

We are back with a look at the first two matches of the show when Vince McMahon took his mic and his bell and went home. Then we saw the Stamford version of Father and Daughter Overacting Theatre
Stephanie is trying to talk to her father and he will not turn around. She says that she knows that Vince is trying to protect Hunter. Stephanie says that it was embarrassing and Hunter has a lot of pride.
Vince says that he heard what they had to say about him. Vince says that Hunter made his baby girl cry.
Stephanie says that Vince made her cry because Vince crushed his pride.
Vince says that he cares about business first.
Stephanie says that she cares about the company.
Vince says that you do the right thing for business all the time. He tells Stephanie to keep him away. Vince says that he has a show to run.
Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring and he is dressed to fight, but he is going to talk.
Chris welcomes everyone to Raw is Jericho. He says that he knows that he has said this so many times and he has faced some of the greatest on Raw. The man who takes him to the limit more than anyone who makes him a better performer is the man he will be facing at Payback on Sunday . . . CM Punk.
You can say what you want about his attitude or opinions because he is so damn good because he believes that he is the best in the world. It is the same way that Chris says that he feels. That is why they are evenly matched opponents. They think the same way and they came into the business the same way. They accept no more than the best.
On Sunday, Punk/Jericho III continues the classic trilogy of matches that started at Wrestlemania 28, continued at Extreme Rules, and concludes at Payback. On Sunday, CM Punk will get his best because he needs to beat CM Punk at Payback.

Dolph Ziggler is back and he is joined by AJ Lee and Big E Langston.
Dolph says that since Chris was talking about the best performers, he figured it was time to come out. He almost had the title taken away from him by concussion. He was not going to sit at home. When it was almost taken from him, it was not fair to him. Dolph says that no one ever wanted him to have the title so he came out every night and he stole the show. He earned the title.
At Payback, he will prove to the world and to Alberto Del Rio that the moment he steps in the ring with him, he will be outclassed. He does it better than anyone in the ring and he is just getting started.
Chris interrupts and he says that Dolph is stepping ahead of himself. Chris says that this is Raw and since Del Rio is his opponent on Sunday, why not have a tune up match to get rid of some of that ring rust.
Ziggler asks Chris if he wants a match and he has a match . . . against Big E Langston.
Match Number Five: Chris Jericho versus Big E Langston (with Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee)
The match is joined in progress and Langston with a forearm to the back on the floor. Langston with a punch to Jericho and we are told that Jericho might have hurt his knee. They return to the ring and Langston with a forearm to the back and he gets a near fall. Langston with a nerve hold. Jericho with an elbow but Langston with a forearm. Jericho sends Langston over the top rope to the floor.
Jericho with a baseball slide that knocks Langston down on the floor. Jericho kicks Langston in the back and punches him. Langston sends Jericho into the ring steps. Langston sends Jericho back into the ring and he gets a near fall. Langston with shoulders in the corner and then he hits a running shoulder into the midsection. Langston with a forearm to the back and then he kicks Jericho in the ribs.
Langston with an Irish whip but Langston misses a shoulder and he goes into the ring post. Jericho gets a near fall with a rollup. Langston with a near fall after a shoulder tackle. Langston returns to the chin lock. Jericho with a kick to Langston followed by chops. Jericho with a running forearm and kick but Langston stays on his feet. Jericho with an enzuigiri to knock Langston to one knee and then Jericho with a drop kick for a near fall.
Jericho with kicks to Langston’s chest followed by a forearm. Langston catches Jericho and he hits three back breakers and then he gets a near fall. Jericho goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Ziggler gets on the apron and he distracts Jericho. Langston with a running body block and then the straps are down.
Alberto Del Rio attacks Ziggler on the floor and that causes Langston to lose focus and he misses a charge into the corner and Jericho hits the Codebreaker for the three count.

Zeb Colter is at ringside for the next match and he has something to say about how Sin Cara showed him and America no respect.
Match Number Six: Sin Cara versus Antonio Cesaro
They lock up and Cesaro with a fireman’s carry into an arm bar. Cesaro sends Cara over the top rope to the floor. Cara returns to the ring and Cesaro kicks him in the head. Cara bounces off the ropes and connects with an arm drag. Cara with a springboard rana. Cara tries for the arm drag off the ropes but Cesaro crotches him. Cesaro kicks Cara and chokes him. Cesaro with a dead lift side salto and then he applies a reverse chin lock.
Cesaro with a power slam. Cesaro leaps onto Cara’s chest and gets a near fall. Cara escapes the reverse chin lock and Cara with chops. Cara with a satellite head scissors and then he hits the flip power bomb but Cesaro kicks out at two.
Cesaro sends Cara to the apron and Cara with an enzuigiri. Cara goes up top but Cesaro catches Cara and hits a back breaker. Cesaro with a reverse chin lock and he applies a giant swing before hitting the Gotch Style Neutralizer and gets the three count.

We are back and Vickie Guerrero is eating a Hardee’s hamburger while Brad watches her eat. Brad wants to know why he can’t have a burger while Vickie has three. Vince McMahon enters and he tells Vickie to chew and swallow. She asks Vince how he is doing.
Vince says that she is putting the main event of Payback in jeopardy with John Cena and Ryback in the ring together. What if they fight. Vickie says that is not how she would run the show even if it is great TV.
Vince wants to know what Vickie is going to do about it. Vickie says that she will cancel the match. Vince tells her to think again. Brad suggests that the lumberjacks come to the ring so they don’t attack each other and it will put focus on the Three Stages of Hell Match.
Match Number Seven: Randy Orton (with Daniel Bryan) versus Roman Reigns (with Seth Rollins) in a Shield versus Big Red Bearded Viper Series Match
They lock up and Reigns with a knee to the midsection followed by an elbow to the back of the neck. Reigns with punches but Orton with a kick and he sends Reigns into the turnbuckles and he punches him. Orton punches Reigns and hits a drop kick and gets a near fall. Orton runs his laces across the face and then he goes to the Garvin Stomp.
Orton with a leaping knee drop and he gets a near fall. Reigns rolls to the floor to regroup and he tries to punch Orton but Orton blocks it. Orton with punches and then he sends Reigns into the apron and then he hits a belly-to-back suplex on the ringside barrier.
They return to the ring and Orton gets a near fall. Orton with a boot to the midsection and then to the leg. Orton goes for another leaping knee drop but Reigns moves out of the way. Reigns kicks Orton. Reigns punches Orton but Orton with a Thesz Press. Orton goes to the turnbuckles and he punches Reigns. Orton with a head butt and for the first time a Samoan feels the worst of a head butt.
Reigns with an Irish whip but Orton with a boot to Reigns and then he connects with a forearm across the chest but Reigns with a forearm that knocks Orton off the turnbuckles and to the floor.

We are back and Reigns with a rear chin lock on Orton. Orton punches Reigns and he head butts Reigns. Reigns drops Orton on the top rope and Reigns with a flying clothesline for a near fall. Reigns punches Orton and he returns to the rear chin lock. Orton with a belly-to-back suplex and he escapes the chin lock.
Orton avoids a splash into the corner and Orton with two clotheslines and then he avoids a clothesline from Reigns and he hits a power slam. Rollins tries to interfere but Orton avoids it. Orton with a kick but Reigns gets Orton on his shoulders. Orton with a back breaker and Reigns goes to the apron.
Orton sets for the IEDDT and he hits it. Orton looks around and he twists to the mat for the RKO but Rollins attacks Bryan and he enters the ring. Rollins goes to the apron and then Orton tries for the IEDDT but Reigns pulls him to the floor. Bryan with a suicide dive and the referee calls for the bell.

Match Number Nine: Daniel Bryan versus Seth Rollins
Rollins punches Bryan. Bryan flips out of the corner and he hits the flying clothesline. Bryan kicks Rollins and connects with a European uppercut and then he connects with a knee. Bryan with kicks and elbows to Rollins. Bryan with elbows to the head and he gets a near fall. Bryan tries for the surfboard but Rollins gets too close to the ropes so Bryan drives the knees into the mat. Bryan with a baseball slide to Rollins followed by a flying knee off the apron and Rollins is down.
Bryan sends Rollins into the ring and he gets a near fall. Rollins backs Bryan into the corner and he connects with shoulders. Bryan blocks a punch and Bryan punches Rollins. Rollins with a flatline into the turnbuckles and Rollins gets a near fall. Rollins with punches to Bryan and then he returns the favor with the surfboard.
Bryan escapes and he kicks Rollins in the hamstring and Bryan with a surfboard on Rollins and Bryan with a chin lock into a Dragon Sleeper. Rollins with a punch to get out of the hold in a sign of desperation and we go to commercial.
We are back and Rollins with a reverse chin lock on Bryan. Bryan with punches but Rollins with a forearm and he gets a near fall. Rollins with a reverse chin lock with the arm trapped. Bryan with punches to Rollins but Rollins punches back. Rollins throws in a kick as well. Bryan with the advantage. Rollins tries for an enzuigiri but Bryan avoids it and he puts Rollins in a single leg crab and Rollins gets to the ropes and Bryan has to release the hold.
Bryan with kicks to the chest and then he hits a drop kick into the corner followed by a hesitation drop kick for a near fall. Bryan with kicks to the chest. Rollins avoids the round kick and Rollins with an enzuigiri and both men are down. Rollins gets a near fall. Rollins with kicks to the chest but he misses a round kick.
Rollins with a German suplex but Bryan lands on his feet. Rollins counters a rana with a buckle bomb and he gets a near fall. Rollins with kicks in the corner and then he hits a running forearm into the corner. Rollins is sent over the top rope to the floor by Bryan. Bryan goes for a suicide dive and Rollins with a forearm. Rollins goes up top but Bryan moves. Bryan with Chaos Theory followed by a round kick to the head but Rollins kicks out.
Bryan goes up top but Rollins crotches Bryan. Rollins goes to the turnbuckles and he tries for a superplex but Bryan escapes and he crotches Rollins. Bryan goes for a super belly-to-back suplex but Rollins is able to twist his hips and he gets a lateral press and both men are down. Reigns gets on the apron but Orton trips him. Rollins misses a splash into the corner and Bryan with an inside cradle for the three count.
Winner: Daniel Bryan
After the match, Bryan with a round kick to Rollins and Orton with an RKO.
Kaitlyn is in the back getting ready to find out her secret admirer.

Big E Langston comes out and he has a bouquet of flowers.
Kaitlyn cannot believe that it is him. Langston gives Kaitlyn the flowers and he asks for the mic.
Langston says that this is unexpected and it is hard for him based on what happened earlier. People only see him as a big bad tough guy. They see him as Dolph’s heavy and they think he only wants to beat people up.
Langston says that he cares about her. He says that Kaitlyn should be skeptical and ever since he first met her, she was all that he could think of.
Langston dips Kaitlyn and then he drops her to the mat.
AJ comes out and she skips to the ring. She asks Kaitlyn how she feels. Does she feel worthless, alone, broken? That was how she felt when Kaitlyn abandoned her. AJ has let me hurt her for the last year. Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and CM Punk used her. Where was her best friend? She was chasing the Divas title. Even shattered glass, when handled wrong can cut you pretty deep.
Kaitlyn calls AJ crazy.
AJ tells Kaitlyn that she is smart. Kaitlyn might be able to beat her in the ring, but she cannot beat her ‘up here’. She calls Kaitlyn sad, weak, and pitiful. She calls Kaitlyn trash. No one cares about Kaitlyn. The only thing that Kaitlyn has is that Divas title and come Sunday, she won’t even have that. AJ tells Kaitlyn that she is not going to like how this story ends. She is going to lose and AJ will get everything she wanted. Kaitlyn will crawl back to her trailer park and she will be a pathetic, worthless cow.
Kaitlyn is the one who snaps and she attacks AJ and AJ gets to the floor.

Sandow with forearms across the chest and then he puts the skirt over Truth’s head before he kicks Truth.
Sandow with a snap mare and a knee to the back. Sandow with a quarter nelson and chin lock. Truth with a punch but Sandow with a side Russian leg sweep followed by the elbow of Disdain and he gets a near fall. Sandow with a reverse chin lock. Sandow with a forearm but Truth with a leg lariat and clotheslines.
Truth with a head scissors followed by a kick to the midsection and he hits a sit out gourdbuster for a near fall. Sandow dives at the knee and then Sandow with the Silencer for the three count.

After the match, Sheamus comes out to the stage. He asks Damo how he is doing. He congratulates him on his hard fought victory tonight. Sheamus says that he is out here because Sandow got his attention last Friday night. They have a match on Sunday. Sheamus says that he will start off the show by kicking off Sandow’s head. He says that he will see him in Chicago.
Stephanie McMahon is in the back and she tells a production assistant to find Mr. McMahon to discuss business in their office.
Stephanie tells another production assistant to find Triple H to discuss something personal in their office.
We go to commercial.

It is time for the march of Superstars as they come to the ring to make sure that nothing happens between John Cena and Ryback.
We are back and Stephanie has forced her father and her husband into their office. Hunter wants to know why Vince did what he did. Vince says that he did it because he is him. Stephanie tells them to work this out and she leaves.
Vince says that he is not going to apologize to Hunter. Hunter is not going to apologize to him. Vince says that Hunter is better than Curtis Axel. He tells Hunter to remember what he has accomplished. He wants Hunter to be more than an Icon or a Legend. He wants Hunter to be ‘The Man’. He wants Hunter to tell people to go to hell when it is necessary. Vince wants to do the right thing for Hunter.
Hunter says that he gets it and then Vince asks him if he is going to apologize. Vince gives Hunter a match next week against Curtis Axel. Hunter says that Vince is right. He doesn’t want the match with Curtis Axel. Vince says that he would like to see the match.
Hunter tells Vince that he doesn’t want the match with Curtis.
Stephanie returns to the office and she wants a group hug. They hug and then it gets to the point where Hunter and Vince slap each other in the back a few times.
We go back to the ring and there are wrestlers around the ring and we see the man who was just mentioned as being below Triple H.
John Cena makes his way to the ring first. Ryback makes his way to the ring from his ambulance (with Scott Steiner alarm).
Cena says that they use big words and he tells Cena that Face To Face means that he waddles his ass to the ring and he faces him.
Ryback says that he is scared . . .
Cena says that Vickie Guerrero set this up so they won’t tear each other apart. On Sunday, this ring will be lined with 30 Superstars. Their job is to make sure that one man can get to the stage and be afraid to face the other man.
Ryback says that he can tear through Cena, the lumberjacks, and everyone in the audience if he wanted to. He tells John to trust him. He is here for John’s benefit, not his.
John says that it was impressive and painful when he was sent through the wall. If Ryback thinks that he deserves to be the WWE Champion . . .
Ryback says that there were three chances when he should have been WWE Champion. At TLC, he had the chance. At Survivor Series, he had Cena beat. At Hell in a Cell . . .
Cena reminds Ryback that he gave him his spot and Ryback says that is where it started. Ryback says that he became a threat because he became too popular. When it was convenient, Cena had his back but when things got tough, he turned his back on him.
Cena tells Ryback to shut up. He says that he never had anyone watching his back and no one who ever held the title had anyone protecting him. Ryback is bitching and moaning about conspiracy theories when he is the one at fault. Cena says that he will walk out of Chicago as the champion.
Ryback says that his eyes are wide open and he can see Cena. He says that Cena is full of crap. He knows every move that Cena is making. If Cena thinks he is going to back down, he is out of his mind. The Legend of John Cena ends when he wins the Lumberjack Match, when he puts Cena through a table, and when he loads John Cena in the ambulance. It ends when he becomes the WWE Champion. He was given Cena’s spot eight months ago . . . on Sunday he takes Cena’s spot.
Cena takes off his shirt and he says that on Sunday for one, payback is a bitch.
The lumberjacks keep Cena from going after Ryback but Ryback goes to the ring and he goes over the top rope to the floor. Cena and Ryback are in the ring but then the Lumberjacks try to separate Ryback and Cena but that doesn’t work too great the first time.
We go to credits.

Curtis Axel will replace Fandango as the second challenger in the WWE Intercontinental championship match, facing current champ Wade Barrett and The Miz at Payback this Sunday in Chicago, IL.
