WWE RAW REPORT: TABLES MATCH; THE WYATT FAMILY; ARE YOU A 'BRYAN GUY'; IS IT A GOOD TIME TO BE A 'HEYMAN GUY'?; HAVE YOU SEEN DAMIEN'S BRIEFCASE; AND MORE

Recently, John Cena picked Daniel Bryan to be his opponent at SummerSlam. While John made his decision, Brad Maddox and Vince McMahon are not his biggest fans. Daniel Bryan defeated three men last week, but Vince was not impressed. Tonight, he will face his former tag team champion partner, Kane.
We cannot forget Daniel’s opponent for SummerSlam. John Cena will face Ryback in a Tables Match.
We are in Laredo, Texas and your announcers are Michael ‘The roster could do This Tuesday in Texas’ Cole and Jerry ‘Who wants some BTS action from Total Divas’ Lawler.
Vince McMahon makes his way to the ring with Brad Maddox.
Vince says that they are going to have some fun tonight. Vince gives the mic to Brad and Brad is a bit hesitant to speak.
Brad apologizes for his bonehead decision to allow John Cena to choose his opponent at SummerSlam. He gives the mic back to Vince.
Vince asks Brad if he remembers calling Daniel a troll. A troll is a hideously ugly dwarf. Vince also said that Daniel is undersized and has psychological problems. He also said that Daniel did not have the aura to be a WWE Champion. He asks Brad how he really feels about Daniel Bryan.
Daniel Bryan’s music interrupts Brad and he makes his way to the ring.
Daniel and Vince shake hands and Vince wants some decorum from the fans.
Daniel tells Brad and Vince that those words came out of the mouth of Brad Maddox but they were probably dictated by Vince.
Vince tells Daniel that he interrupted the Chairman of the Board. That is a lack of respect.
Daniel says that respect is a two way street. Despite giving everything he has night after night and year after year for Vince’s company, Vince has not given him an ounce of respect.
Vince asks Daniel if he respects John Cena while telling the crowd to be quiet.
Daniel says that he respects John Cena as a human being and a champion. He respects John Cena for picking him as his opponent.
Vince asks Daniel if he would respect John if he was lying through his teeth. John is a master manipulator. He said that Daniel earned his opportunity and is the hottest thing going in the WWE today.
John Cena is lying to Daniel and making Daniel look foolish. He asks if Daniel is a fool. He asks the people if they are fools. John knows what Vince knows. Daniel cannot beat John Cena. He can’t beat Kane because he doesn’t have the intangible. He does not have RUTHLESS AGGRESSION. That is what propelled Cena to the top. He says that Cena is ripe for the taking.
Vince says that he does not want Cena to win. Cena walks around like he owns the place and acts like he is a better man. Vince points out that he owns this place. Does Vince want a half pint troll to be the WWE Champion? It would be the biggest embarrassment in WWE History. The only person who wins is Vince. He gets on Daniel’s level and stoops down. He says that they are both in the ring and they lock up . . . then we get spontaneous combustion with neither man to be seen again.
Daniel says that if John is lying to him, he will have hell to pay. The thing he likes about Vince McMahon. He wants to get on Vince’s level and he gets on his toes.
Vince is always honest with him and tells him what he really thinks. In Vince’s own words, it doesn’t matter what he thinks. It matters what THEY think.
It sounds like they want a new champion at SummerSlam and his name is Daniel Bryan. He wants Vince to listen to the WWE Universe. He asks if the people want a new WWE Champion and the crowd chants ‘Yes’.
The Shield make their way through the crowd for their match.

WHO IS TNA'S MYSTERY MAN?

There's been a lot of speculation as to who the mystery man coming to this Thursday's live Impact may be.
A number of readers have written saying the voice is Low Ki's. Having spoken to Ki a million times since 1998 and having interviewed him a number of times, it's absolutely not his voice in the video.
But, for whatever it's worth, former NWA champion Adam Pearce has been making references to August 1st since the mystery video began airing.
It's certainly possible he's latched onto the video to get attention for himself but given the way his TNA Gutcheck played out, it certainly left him open with a window for a return to TNA storylines.
We will find out soon enough.

RELEASED TNA KNOCKOUT CLAIMS SHE WAS TOLD SHE WAS TOO HEAVY FOR TV AND MORE

Dixie Carter stated Taeler Hendrix was “heavy for TV”

In a recent interview with The Greg DeMarco Show, Taeler Hendrix addressed her TNA release, the latest feedback from Dixie Carter, her thoughts on some current Knockouts, the mood in OVW, her upcoming return to Shine Wrestling, her most recent cancer scare and much more.

The Greg DeMarco Show with former TNA Knockout Taeler Hendrix
Hosts: Greg DeMarco, Patrick O’Dowd, Su Yung & Chad Perry
Airs: Sunday nights at 10 PM on Wrestling Smash Radio and on delay Monday’s and Tuesday’s via the Real Fans Sports Network (TuneIn.com channel RFSN)

On her release from TNA:
It was kind of a whirlwind ... a long time in the making … I was super-duper unhappy ... the All-American Dream ... BAM! Hit in the face! It’s not happening girl, wake up! I got papers in the mail to re-sign for another year in developmental at OVW for TNA … Before I could tell them that I wouldn’t re-sign, I got the call the day before my contract expired to tell me I was released. ... Maybe they can use that spot for someone they actually know what they want to do with. ... I’m not offended—I’m a lot happier.

On if the mood in OVW has changed since the recent releases:
Yes, actually. Now that I’m not signed anymore, I think I’m enjoying it more—from an OVW standpoint. ... It’s home… There’s wrestling every single week, you can’t get more work than that. ... I am loving my character right now, she’s awesome. ... She’s like that girl we all hated in high school. ... A lot of people who were released, they’re gone.

On Dixie Carter:
I do have my qualms. Don’t tell me on my birthday that I’m “heavy” to be on TV. ... I’m a size 3, that’s not fat at all! ... I’m a role model for young girls, there’s nothing plastic about me. ... (On her size a year prior) I was too skinny! ... I got really skinny just to get on television. ... Someone said I looked like a skeleton, and then I started looking at my pictures and I was like “Oh my God, I really do!”... I’m taller than [most female wrestlers] but I’m not bigger than them.

On her latest cancer scare:
On top of that, my cancer stuff came back. ... I had no choice to gain weight, and I’m really happy that I did. ... What I’m battling right now is cervical cancer—and when I say battling I mean I’m trying to not get it. ... I wasn’t setting a good example. … I felt like I was a hypocrite. ... I would rather be healthy and stay cancer free.

On Velvet Sky:
She has found a way to stick it out ... and she was released at one point. ... Velvet Sky is money. ... And if I have someone who makes me money, I’m going to keep them around. ... She’s not the best wrestler in the world, but neither am I. ... She makes money. ... Velvet Sky has some of the most loyal fans in the world. ... She has a great personality, in ring and out. ... And you know what? She’s gotten much better. ... I’m a fan—she can keep letting the pigeons loose. ... That girl’s a hot commodity.

In addition, Taeler also discusses the internet’s reaction to her release, her upcoming bookings for Shine Wrestling, how she keeps finding family in wrestling, her goals outside of the wrestling business and much more.

After what had to be the toughest negotations to get an interview since the ill-fated attempts by Michael "The Voice" Schiavello to interview the Ultimate Warrior, AXS was scheduled to film a one hour special today in Stockon with Schiavello interviewing Nick Diaz. If you haven't seen the show, he recently interviewed "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and has been trying to get The Rock via social media.
Schiavello came to Stockton, but you only get one guess what happened next.
Yes, Diaz was nowhere to be found.

THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR RESPONDS TO VINCE MCMAHON!

The Ultimate posted the following on his Twitter account this morning:

"@VinceMcMahon Vince, thank you for your personal welcome back to the WWE Universe. It is noted and appreciated. All the Warriors of Parts Unknown take pride in being one of the original galaxies of the Universe you created. Not one of my days has passed without a flashback to my time in the business and my relationship with you. After 17 years of battling one another, perhaps the stars have finally aligned and Destiny is prepared to tell one of Sports Entertainment's greatest stories: how two of the industry's most determined, colorful, intense and explosive personalities brought to life a persona that made such an inspiring impression that it still captures the hearts and minds of fans all over the world, even all these years later. I am proud Ultimate Warrior is an iconic, immortal spirit in the Universe you created. I know, Vince McMahon, you are proud, too. The inhabitants of your WWE Universe believe your personal welcome is an invitation of sorts. If so, consider this my RSVP with one condition. Wisdom takes a seat at the table with us when we meet, but we each also leave unburied a slight edge of the hatchet we've carried over the years. that other gutless and heartless God-fearing men urge us to lay to rest forever. Face it, neither one of us were ever any good at being bored or boring others. So coming prepared to kill one another makes for a interesting backup plan. Always Believe, Warrior"

Thanks to Michael Lehman for sending that along.

WWE RAW REPORT: 40 PLUS MINUTES OF DANIEL BRYAN; CM PUNK MAKES IT OFFICIAL FOR SUMMERSLAM; WE HAD A CONTRACT SIGNING; MORE WITH MARK HENRY, THE USOS, AND THE SHIELD; TWO BIG MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR NEXT WEEK'S RAW

WWE Monday Night Raw

July 22, 2013
Austin, TX

Rob McCarron

Drumroll, please...
Brad Maddox is the GM that Vince and everyone thought would suck, but he has turned out to be great. Any way you look at it, he is great. He opened the show this week by introducing John Cena and Daniel Bryan for a contract signing for their main event at SummerSlam. Before Bryan came out, Maddox asked Cena why he chose Daniel as his opponent. Maddox questioned his choice, which led to Bryan coming out. Pretty good ovation for Bryan here, but nothing like in the northeast. Cena put over Bryan, saying he chose him because he can see God given talent unlike Brad and his "dumbass" bosses. Size doesn't always matter, Cena said, referencing Shawn Michaels, Eddie Guerrero, and Rey Mysterio. Cena said Bryan is the best competition in WWE right now, but sometimes the best isn't good enough. Daniel was about to respond, but Brad cut him off. Daniel was upset, but Brad said he needed to prove himself still. So Brad booked Bryan in multiple matches tonight.

Alberto Del Rio vs Sheamus
Alberto defeated Sheamus via pinfall. Sheamus' left leg was bruised like crazy, and played into the match. Sheamus was going for White Noise when his leg gave out, allowing Alberto to take advantage. During the pinfall, Alberto hooked the bad leg.

In case you missed it, on Smackdown, Vickie Guerrero was named Smackdown General Manager.

Backstage, Renee Young asked Booker T and Teddy Long about what happened on Smackdown. Teddy and Booker were arguing, and Teddy left intimating that at least Vince made the right call removing Booker from power.

Before the next match, Christian came out. I note this because there was some awful directing here. They showed multiple different camera angles of the crowd during Christian's entrance, and it looked like absolutely NOBODY cared one bit about this guy. Maybe a bad crowd tonight overall, but you don't have to highlight it if you can help it.

Christian vs Titus O'Neil
Christian defeated Titus via pinfall with the Killswitch.

Backstage, The Ryback was laughing at what he did to Chris Jericho on Smackdown. The Ryback hates average. He also appears to have invisible braces.

Mark Henry Fires Back
Mark Henry called out the Shield, so they surrounded the ring as Henry awaited. Shield was beating on Henry until the Usos made the save. Usos and Henry dumped Ambrose and Rollins out of the ring, leaving Reigns in. Reigns looked to be headed to certain doom until Ambrose and Rollins pulled him out of the ring. and the evil trio bailed.

Backstage, Daniel Bryan was preparing his matches. A graphic showed three opponents to be named, so it appears to be three matches. John Cena came in saying Brad looked nervous out there, and threw out the theory that Brad isn't making these decisions on his own. Brad is Vince's puppet GM, you see. Bryan took this as an opportunity to prove to everyone that he belongs in the title match. He told John to stay away from ringside for the matches tonight.

Dolph Ziggler vs Darren Young
True story, Darren had the highest win percentage on NXT Season 1. And now he's jobbing to Dolph Ziggler. Which is fine. Dolph pinned Darren after the Zig Zag. Young was getting a bit cocky, talking trash to Dolph, when Ziggler surprised Darren with his finish and got the pin. After the match, Big E ran in and attacked Dolph. Dolph fought him off and and managed to escape doom.

Michael Cole had an in depth look at the WWE App.

Miz TV w/ Total Divas Cast
Holy hell this sucked. Eva Marie slapped Jerry Lawler and is a heel. That's all.

A new graphic for Daniel Bryan's multiple matches were shown, now with only two opponents. Booking on the fly.

Backstage, Triple H asked Brad Maddox why he doesn't like Daniel Bryan. HHH mocked Brad being new. He, like Cena, thinks Vince is putting words in Brad's mouth. HHH called Daniel Bryan the future of WWE. When Hunter left, Steph appeared. She said he has an idea to help Brad's predicament, but she doesn't have it fully thought through yet.
It's FANDANGO's Birthday
Cody Rhodes defeated Fandango with the CrossRhodes. Damien Sandow was on commentary, mostly arguing with Michael Cole. Damien tried to attack Cody from behind during the bout. As Damien had Cody distracted, Fandango ran towards him. Cody sidestepped, sending Fandango into Sandow, and allowing Cody to hit the Disaster Kick to set up the finish.

CM Punk Is Still Standing
CM Punk said Brock's biggest weapon is fear. He puts fear into people. Well not CM Punk. Punk ain't scurred. Very heated promo from Punk, who reiterated that he is coming to get Paul Heyman. Punk wants Brock at SummerSlam, so Punk can slaughter the beast. Paul Heyman, via satellite, made fun of Texas and accepted Punk's challenge for SummerSlam.

RVD vs ADR on Smackdown this week.

Rob Van Dam vs Wade Barrett
RVD beat Wade with his 5 Star Frogsplash in a short, but competitive match.

Daniel Bryan in Multiple Matches
1) Daniel Bryan defeated Jack Swagger via Yes! Lock. Swagger hit the Swagger Bomb, then posed and that's when he was caught in Bryan's submission hold.

2) Daniel Bryan defeated Antonio Cesaro via super small package. This match was much longer than the first one, and both men were great. Cesaro was beating down Bryan much of the early part of the match, getting frustrated, as well, when he couldn't get a victory. Bryan was in control most of the end.  Big spot towards the end when Bryan went for a back drop from the top rope, but Cesaro countered and landed on Bryan. The two took an 8 count to each get up, and they exchanged uppercuts until Cesaro took control and laid Bryan out with a lariat. Bryan just wouldn't stay down, though. Cesaro tried to follow up with the neutralizer, but Bryan countered and the match continued. The finish saw Cesaro send Bryan up for his super uppercut, but Bryan countered into the small package for the win.

Backstage, Alex Riley told Brad Maddox that the kid survived. Brad said, "So far... let's see how he does against this next one." So there is 3, indeed. And Alex Riley, wtf?

3) Daniel Bryan defeated The Ryback via DQ. Another great match. And some big spots, with crazy punishment taken by both men. The Ryback was DQ'd when he powerbombed Daniel Bryan through a table outside the ring. The table had been set up by Ryback earlier in the bout, and was teased a couple of times before finally being used in the end. Again, the final hour of this show is worth watching very much.

After the matches, John Cena came out to run off The Ryback. John effectively told Ryback to pick on someone his own size. He challenged Ryback to a tables match, and The Ryback accepted. It wasn't clear when the match would take place, although Michael Cole magically knew it would be next week.

Backstage, Brad Maddox made that match official. Vince was in the office. Vince asked Brad what he'd do with Daniel Bryan next week. Brad made Daniel Bryan vs Kane next week. So Kane's first match back after being attacked by Bray Wyatt will be against... not Bray Wyatt. Cool beans. Oh, no Wyatt Family tonight. That sucked. Daniel Bryan got an ovation from the crowd in the ring as the show went off the air.

Big show next week. Bryan vs Kane, with seemingly some Wyatt Family involvement. Cena vs The Ryback in a tables match. More Brad Maddox being told what to do by Vince. Mark Henry's battle with the Shield shall continue? Stay tuned.

Batista-WWE Update!

Regarding talks of Dave Bautista, 44, returning, there was a report and we checked around on it. Two different sources have indicated there have been talks, although I don’t know how recent or serious they are, which only makes sense since HHH was pretty much Bautista’s mentor as a wrestler. But he’s not coming back any time soon. If he does come back, it would probably be in early 2014 for Mania season, and one person noted he’s not going to do that if he’s got anything going on for early next year in movies, because that’s his line of work and priority now. But he has said in the past he’s up for one last run, and those in the company believe at same point that is likely to happen. Bautista is currently in England filming Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” in the role of Drax the Destroyer, and will be there for some time. It was described as something that may happen, but it is not something that is in plans. As far as he himself, on Twitter, he said, “Not that it wouldn’t be nice, just don’t want anyone to buy into bullshit rumors. I haven’t talked to Hunter. And I’m tied down for a while.” He has made it clear if he was to come back, it would only be for WWE. TNA made a play for him when Flair was working there but it never even came close. The thing is, the comeback for Mania stuff, that before was limited to Dwayne Johnson and Jericho, can get out of hand. There were actually complaints about Johnson, which was ridiculous since he moved the needle significantly the last three years, and in the current top three matches, at this point five slots will be taken by non-full timers not including potential returns of Jericho, not even factoring Batista. Batista could fit in given Rock and Austin are both far from locks for next year. But if one, let alone both, are on the show, I wonder if it would the right year for Batista without making the guys like Punk, Bryan, Orton, and really everyone but Cena (who is a lock for a top match no matter who is brought back) really seem secondary on the biggest show. Then again, at Batista’s age, if he wants one last run, I don’t know how many more years you want to wait.

UFC 164 Update!

The UFC 164 main event on 8/31 in Milwaukee is now Benson Henderson vs. Anthony Pettis for the lightweight title in a rematch of one of the best fights of the past five years. Pettis, who is from Milwaukee, replaces T.J. Grant, who suffered a concussion training BJJ one month back, had stopped training, and when he didn’t feel his brain was ready to start back this week, which would give him six weeks of training before the title fight, he pulled out. A lot of guys would have still fought. Grant said he himself would have fought the fight on a knee injury, but not on a brain injury. Guys like him who get title shots that fall apart are never guaranteed getting another one when they recover, particularly with guys like Gilbert Melendez and Josh Thomson in the division. Pettis hit Henderson with the “Showtime kick,” running up the cage, springing off and nailing a back pedaling Henderson with a kick to the side of the head, which knocked Henderson down. The fight was even going into the fifth round, and while Pettis probably would have won the round either way, the kick clinched it and gave Pettis the WEC lightweight title. It was Henderson’s only loss in his last 18 fights. Well, at least only loss on his record, because he was very lucky to get decisions in fights with Frankie Edgar (the second one where I had Edgar), Gilbert Melendez (I had Melendez) and the first Donald Cerrone fight. Both have improved significantly since that fight, on December 16, 2010, in the final WEC show, held in Glendale, AZ, where Henderson lives. Now Henderson has a chance to avenge the defeat in Pettis’ home town. This was one of those occasions where a main event falling out leads to a stronger fight, at least for most of North America. Grant as challenger was clearly stronger in Canada, although I don’t know that either fight was going to do significantly different business on PPV. In theory, Pettis should sell tickets in Milwaukee going for the title in his home town. I’d think Pettis would be a stronger contender on PPV than Grant because he’s been a star longer and a lot of people know about the first fight. I think it’s just a little over a baseline fight, but we’ll see if two straight title fights on FOX have helped Henderson as a PPV draw. His lone PPV defense against Franke Edgar did not do well.

Complete TNA Financial Problem Story!

Tons of issues going on regarding money stemming from the decision to tape Impact on the road at the cost of $600,000 per taping, with no increase in ratings or revenue. A lot of things are breaking at press time and this is what we know. It’s the cost of the tapings that have made the financial situation so bad. Dixie Carter had noted before that had she done it earlier she would be risking the future of the company. Many in the company, notably Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, had pushed for getting out of Universal Studios and taping on the road as the needed game changer. But there has been no increase in revenue to offset the expense, and ratings have actually declined.
There were reports at press time of people, particularly with higher contracts, being asked to change their deals. ProWresetling.Net reported Bruce Prichard, the head of talent relations and also head of creative, was asked to restructure his deal, and could be leaving, and that D-Lo Brown was gone as well. Brown was the road agent for almost all the house shows. The report was that Brown was asked to change from going on a weekly salary to a per event deal, which he agreed to, but then was told he was being let go. We were unable to confirm that at press time.
The Prichard story appears to be accurate. Based on what we were told, Prichard was asked to restructure his contract, but he had not made a decision one way or the other about it. So he’s more up in the air right now than gone, although something like that changes by the hour.
TNA has made commitments to where it will be very difficult to change from the road tapings until the end of this year. But the big problem is what happens even if they decide they have to go back. Universal has changed the sound stage and it apparently has a tenant, so going back to the old Impact Zone, even if they wanted to do it, appears not to be an option. So they would have to find a new permanent home if that’s the direction they want to go, but being able to get that with the kind of deal they had in Orlando would be difficult. Plus, what was good about Orlando is that as an attraction at the park, where people could get in free with park admission, there were always hundreds of people who could help fill in and make it look presentable for television. In a new permanent location, whether they’d be able to maintain a crowd every week would be difficult. Bellator runs weekly and they mostly sell their shows to casinos and let the casinos try and sell the tickets or fill the place. But that’s a lot easier with an MMA product. TNA has been able to do this for very few shows, although Impact tapings are more attractive in that regard than just house shows. The problem is the belief that wrestling crowds don’t spend money at the casinos as compared to MMA crowds, so the idea is even if they have to paper the tickets for a Bellator, a lot of those people will hang around the casinos to meet the fighters and gamble or spend money at the restaurants and the like.

Dr. Wagner Jr. - AAA Update!

It looks like Dr. Wagner Jr. is gone again based on rumors. He’s not booked on any upcoming shows and his contract expires next month. He had been saying he was leaving for months.

Hulk Hogan Reportedly Paid Late by TNA, TNA Wrestlers Sending Feelers to WWE?, More!!

- In case you missed it on Wednesday morning, D-Lo Brown has also been cut by TNA. As noted, Bruce Prichard is also out. Apparently Prichard refused to restructure his deal, as reported, but also turned down a "night of" TV producer job.

- Regarding Doc, he was scheduled to turn babyface and feud with Mr. Anderson. There's some speculation that Doc may be brought back eventually.

- Many talents in TNA are not happy about what's going on and some have sent feelers to WWE officials through friends.

- We've noted how there have been issues with talents, office workers and vendors getting paid late by TNA. One source has confirmed reports of Hulk Hogan being paid late at one point. The pay issues have not affected every single person in the company but many were affected.

AT A TRYING TIME IT'S BIG NIGHT FOR TNA, HOW TO AFFECT CHANGE TO TURN THINGS AROUND, NEW TITLE BELT TO DEBUT AND MORE!

While the company is putting on a good face in promoting tonight's Destination show, which is in essence a PPV quality free show, things behind the scenes are not so rosy. Given the recent cutbacks and releases, it's fair to say that morale is hardly high in TNA right now. The primary factor in TNA's recent belt tightening comes from the decision to take Impact out of Orlando and on the road every other week. The decision has increased costs dramatically with no proportional rise in revenue to make leaving The Impact Zone a wise move. It has not increased viewership as the people that championed it, like Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, claimed it would. With increased costs and stagnant revenue, belt tightening has become a necessity. As we saw yesterday with Bruce Prichard's release, it's fair to say that very few people, if anyone, is safe. Unless things do a dramatic turnaround, things will continue to be tumultuous down in Nashville.

To me, the problem has always been that there are too many people with too much say in the product, which is the same problem that WCW had. Say what you want about Vince McMahon, but his vision is the WWE product. Obviously, Dixie Carter is not his equal so she needs to rely on wrestling people. The problem is that she relies on too many of them and with them all having their own agenda, the product suffers. She needs to cut back on how many cooks she has because they are spoiling her soup, so to speak.

Speaking of taking the show on the road being a less than smart move, there are a ton of good seats available for the show tonight. I just checked and can get seats in the fourth row on the floor. That is not good. If you are interested in getting tickets, click here.

Dixie Carter noted on her Twitter account that TNA will be debuting a new X Division belt tonight. She said she will post a picture of it later today.
Michael Goins sent this item. ... Here is a link to a segment featuring Samoa Joe on WDRB-TV in Louisville promoting tonight's live show at Broadbent Arena. He was also on WHAS-TV's Great Day Live.
Thomas Rude sent this link, which goes to a video of Mickie James performing live in Nashville, TN.

TNA DESTINATION X TONIGHT ON IMPACT WRESTLING

TNA's Destination X will be featured as a special episode of this week's Impact Wrestling from Louisville, Kentucky. There are expected to be some talent debuts on the show as well as some returning names. If anyone is attending the show live, we are seeking live reports. They will also tape their 7/25 episode of Impact Wrestling as well. Set for the Destination X show:
*TNA champ Bully Ray vs. Chris Sabin
*Austin Aries vs. Bobby Roode: Bound for Glory Series
*Main Event Mafia fights The Aces & Eights.
*X-Division championship tournament bout(s?)
Sonay Dutt and Homicide are booked for the show.

D'LO BROWN COMMENTS ON TNA DEPARTURE!

D'Lo Brown released the following statement via Twitter regarding his TNA departure yesterday:
I guess it’s time to address the rumors surrounding me over the last few days. It is true that my employment with TNA has come to an end. I also had the privilege to work closely with some of the greatest this industry has produced.
I can tell you this for sure I will miss sharing a locker room with some of the most genuine men and women (you know who you are) that I have ever been around.
I want to say thank you to the many fans that have shown support for me over the years.
I will keep everyone updated on what my future plans are.

THE LATEST ON THE RIC FLAIR-PAY YOUR BILLS SAGA!

After telling The Charlotte Observer that he planned to pay his ex-wife Jacqueline Beems the more than $32,000 in spousal support that he owed her on Wednesday, The Baxter Bulletin  is reporting that as of yesterday afternoon, Beems' lawyer said that they have not received payment from Flair.
Flair is facing arrest if he doesn't make restitution.

TWO MORE EXECS, INCLUDING HEAD OF CREATIVE, GONE FROM TNA!!!

TNA released Bruce Prichard and D'Lo Brown from their backstage positions earlier today, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
Prichard was working as Senior Vice President, Programming & Talent Relations, a position he had held since October 2011. In that role, Prichard oversaw talent relations, talent scouting and development, as well as, overseeing the creative direction of the company. As noted yesterday on PWInsider.com, there were fingers being pointed at him regarding recent issues with talent contracts expiring without new deals being signed and/or talents being signed so close to the end of their existing deals.
D'Lo Brown had been with the company since 2009 as an agent and was in charge of the promotion's Gutcheck tryouts and talent development.

MORE ON TODAY'S TNA DEPARTURES!

The situations surrounding the departures of Tara and Doc were each a completely different series of circumstances, according to TNA sources.
While Tara was a release planned by TNA as a cost-cutting move, sources indicate that the company lost Doc because his contract negotiations went on too long and finally his deal expired. He had been figured into creative plans going forward with an eventual babyface turn, something that had been teased.
The blame on Doc's exit was placed on Bruce Prichard, head of Creative and Talent Relations by some. There were several different sources this evening that contacted PWInsider, claiming that this was just the latest example of contract negotiations going down to the wire or resulting in talents exiting this year under Prichard's watch.
The most noteworthy of those exits were Rob Van Dam.  On his Twitter, Van Dam explained his departure from TNA as, " Contract expired. So did professionalism, courtesy and respect."  One source claimed that Van Dam stopped getting his calls returned by the company.
It should be noted that is in the case of Doc, it is entirely possible the two sides could still come to terms of a new deal (as happened with Devon in the past), but as of now, he is gone and free to go anywhere he pleases.
In the case of Tara, sources claim she was far and away the highest paid female wrestler on the roster and the decision was made to shift that money elsewhere. The belief is that there could be more releases to come as well down the line.
Other recent TNA departures have been Matt Morgan (release request granted), Madison Rayne (contract expired), Doug Williams (released), Taeler Hendrix (released), Christian York (released), Crimson (released), and Joey Ryan (released).

THE ACES AND EIGHT LOSE A MEMBER, ANOTHER TNA DEPARTURE

Drew "DOC" Hankinson just posted the following on his Twitter page: "My contract with TNA Wrestling expired July 12th, as of this evening we have officially parted ways. #SUNTANBIKERMAN tours again!!"
DOC was the odd man out recently as he didn't get the spot as the new VP of Aces and Eights.
Both DOC and Tara's names have been taken off of the TNA Wrestler page.
The company continues to restructure as they move forward.  Sources in the company are saying things will keep changing.

MORE ON TNA RELEASE & MORE NEWS!

Tara was released by TNA earlier today as part of the company's latest cost-cutting. She was informed shortly before TNA publicly announced that she had been released.
There have also been about 3-4 departures from the production end of the company within the last several weeks.
There is expected to be some talent debuts at the Destination X Impact episode this Thursday in Louisville, Kentucky. The company is actively trying to freshen things up on a number of fronts.
You can access the podcast Dave mentioned earlier by clicking the link: http://tna2go.com/podcast/ImpactWrestlingPodcast07162013.mp3

TNA RELEASES TOP KNOCKOUT!

TNA just announced that they have released Tara. Of course, they wish her all the best.
It is not a huge surprise as earlier this year Tara had talked about not being on TV in the future, only to reappear.
In another odd circumstance, Tara actually tweeted a note about TNA's latest Podcast (you can find it at their website) less than an hour before her release was announced.

YOUNG BUCKS-DGUSA-ROH UPDATE!

Dragon Gate USA was not happy to learn that their current Tag Team champions, The Young Bucks, would be returning to Ring of Honor as of 8/3 in Toronto. Gabe Sapolsky actually wrote online that he learned of the return from reading it on PWInsider.com and wasn't happy he didn't know. Someone from the Bucks' camp responded to him, writing, "You have our phone number."
The team are not under a DGUSA contract, so they can work where they wish, but given that they are champions, there was unhappiness with them over going to work for ROH for all the obvious reasons. They still have a number of bookings scheduled with DGUSA but all signs are that their status as Tag champions may be up in the air.
The team are slated to depend the belts against Rich Swann and Ricochet at the 7/28 Manhattan, NY return, so the company will have the chance to switch the belts if they so desire.
The Bucks are also slated for the 7/27 Queens, NY debut, teaming with Ricochet vs. CIMA & AR Fox & Tomahawk T.T. in a Best of Three Falls Tag Match with each fall having a different stip. The first fall will see tags are strictly enforced with 2 referees, an old 1970s gimmick. The second fall is Dragon Gate rules and 3rd fall, if needed, will be a TLC bout.

Paul Heyman makes his way to the stage and he says that what he is looking at right now is an empty ring. In his world, CM Punk does not exist. Paul tells Punk to try this one on for size. He asks Punk if he is lying. In 2005, WWE had no vision for Punk. CM Punk was a figment of Paul Heyman’s imagination. He took Punk in and befriended him. He taught him, trained him, and martyred his entire career for Punk.
Then they reached the Holy Grail together. They were the reigning and defending WWE Champion for 434 days. They were the longest reigning champions in the modern era. They were so close to ending the Undertaker’s friend.
They were the best . . . in the world. He tells Punk that he forgets that without him there is no we. Without Paul Heyman, CM Punk is not the best in the world. Paul says that everyone can boo him and call him a Judas.
Paul says that the truth is a lot harder pill to swallow than a spin on things. The truth is that Punk failed them when he could not beat the Undertaker. Punk found himself when he went home and Punk thinks that he is better than Paul. Paul laughs at that idea. He manipulated and played CM Punk. History will write that Paul Heyman dumped CM Punk.
Punk wanted to keep it personal so Paul made it personal. Punk has no family. He is estranged from his own parents. He has no wife or children. All Punk has is them. All Punk has is the WWE Universe and their admiration and respect. All they have is their affirmation. All Punk wants, craves, and needs in his life is the WWE Championship. Punk took Paul’s best friend so he took Punk’s shot at the title.
Paul says that you will learn that he is a lot worse personally than he is as a business person. He tells his best friend, brother, best friend son. Paul tells Punk that he was made to swear on his children. It was his children who asked him why Punk didn’t listen to him like Brock listens him.
Paul says that he double crossed and betrayed Punk because CM Punk cannot beat BROCK LESNAR.
Punk takes off the hood of his sweatshirt and feels the staples on his head and he asks Paul if he is done. He asks Paul if he wants to talk about the truth. The truth does hurt. Maybe he should have seen it coming, but he trusted Paul. All he has to show for it is the thirteen staples in his head. Paul knows Punk better than anyone. He knows that when Punk wants something, he is the most relentless person.
The truth is that he is going to get Paul. He swears on Paul’s children that he is going to get Paul. He will get everyone who conspired against him. Everyone who profited from it or had knowledge of it. Anyone who enjoyed it. His friends, his clients, and his family. Anyone who steps between them, he will get his hands on them and he will rip them apart and he will hurt them.
The truth is that Paul doesn’t have a future because he is going to burn down everything around Paul until he is the last man standing. He wants to make sure that Paul is there to watch it all. He asks Paul if he is lying.
Paul says that Punk is not lying. If Punk wants to tip his hand, he wants to spell out Punk’s immediate future. Paul mocks Punk’s “It’s Clobbering Time” and Brock Lesnar comes out.
