TNA Video: Petey Williams Canadian Destroyer 1/12/13

WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT 3/29: Complete coverage of Friday night show, including Henry vs. Ryback contest

- The opening video package previewed The Rock’s appearance, plus the Jack Swagger vs. Alberto Del Rio rivalry and The Shield’s issues with Sheamus, Randy Orton, and The Big Show.

- The Rock’s music kicked on and he opened the show by coming to the ring. During his entrance, they showed The Rock giving the Rock Bottom to John Cena on Raw. Josh Mathews, Michael Cole, and JBL were all shown on commentary. Before saying anything, Rock took out a Hershey’s candy bar and showed it to the camera and the crowd. Rock began by saying a month ago on Raw, he did story time with The Rock. He briefly discussed that story and said he should continue here. He talked about his family moving when he was 15 to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Rock said he was already 6’4” and 220 pounds (with an ungodly mustache). Rock then asked the crowd if they wanted to see a picture of him at 15. They showed it on the TitanTron and actually, facially, he didn’t look that different. Rock said the benefit of living in Bethlehem was that he was an hour away from a special town that had a certain park. He and his friends would ride rides and eat as much chocolate as possible. He said it was a magical feeling and still is. That led to him doing his “Finally…” routine.

Rock said when he’d come to Hershey, he never could find a Hershey’s Whatchamacallit. He said he finally found one, but before he could grab it, someone stepped in and took it before him. However, something historic happened that night that changed the course of WWE history forever: “If you don’t put down that candy, I’ll kick your candy ass.” Rock said the old lady put the candy down (a good laugh from the fans for that reveal) and left. Rock said his story was about going to great lengths to get what you want. It was true then and it is still true for his match with John Cena at Wrestlemania. He said on Monday, Cena got in his face and he kicked Cena’s candy ass.

Rock said he’ll do it at Wrestlemania in front of the millions (and millions)…but before he could continue, the “People Power” theme of John Laurinaitis interrupted. Laurinitais walked to the ring. They went to break as he did so.

[Commercial Break]

- Back from break, the crowd was chanting “you suck” at Laurinaitis, who was in the ring smiling. Rock asked “who in the blue hell” Laurinaitis was. He said Rock knows who he is, and so does the entire WWE Universe. He said his old job titles like he used to, only with “former” in front of them. Rock said he didn’t give a crap and that Johnny interrupted story time with the Rock. Laurinaitis said Teddy Long gave him permission to come out. He said people expect him to talk to long and get Rock Bottomed, but that’s not going to happen. He said he and Rock were like two peas in a pod. The crowd started chanting “what” at this point. Laurinaitis said John Cena ruined his career, but also, is the reason he’s back. Rock said if Laurinaitis didn’t get to the point, Cena would also be the reason he’d get his ass kicked all over the arena. Johnny said Cena will do whatever it takes to beat The Rock at Wrestlemania. Laurinaitis then broached a business opportunity for The Rock. He offered to be in Rock’s corner for Mania. He said if that happens, there is no way, “and Big Johnny means no way!” Cena would win.

Laurinaitis said he and Rock were like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups: Two great tastes that taste great together. Rock said it’s only fair to involve the people. Rock asked if they’d like to see the peanut butter that is Laurinaitis (and he said it in a derogatory way) team up with the chocolate that is The Rock. The people booed. Rock gave Laurinaitis a business proposition – but not a Rock Bottom. He suggested he and Laurinaitis send Cena a message…together. Laurinaitis liked the idea and asked Rock what he had in mind. Rock said the most important part of a deal is the handshake. Laurinaitis shook it, smiling like a weenie. Rock didn’t let go, but Laurinaitis wasn’t catching on. Eventually, Rock gave Laurinaitis a spinebuster and hit him with the People’s Elbow. Rock told Cena his candy ass is going down at Wrestlemania…again. “If ya smell what the Rock is cookin.’” I’m not surprised WWE felt they couldn’t pass up the comedic opportunities with Rock and Laurinaitis despite Laurinaitis not being on TV for some time.

- Sheamus, Randy Orton and Big Show face Team Rhodes Scholars and Antonio Cesaro tonight.

- Plus, Mark Henry and Ryback compete in a Bench Press Challenge.

- Chris Jericho’s music hit and he came to the ring for the first match of the evening. He takes on Wade Barrett next.

[Commercial Break]

1 – CHRIS JERICHO vs. WADE BARRETT

With Jericho in the ring, they showed how he got his black eye, from a kick by Fandango last week in Jericho’s match with Jack Swagger. The Miz joined the announcers at ringside. This match pits former NXT pro and his rookie here. Barrett was sent to ringside, showing frustration early on. Baseball slide by Jericho took Barrett to the arena floor. Back in, Barrett took over with kicks in the corner. Jericho tried to go to the top, but Barrett landed a big boot to take Jericho out of the ring. They went to break 2:02 into the match.

[Commercial Break]

Back at 5:32 of the match. Jericho worked out of a rear chinlock and knocked Barrett down with a shoulder tackle. Jericho hit a weak tomahawk chop off the top rope. Lionsault missed and Barrett hit his Winds of Change side-slam for a near-fall. Cross-body off the top for two by Jericho. Barrett tried to fight out of the Walls of Jericho, and did so. Then Jericho low-bridged him out of the ring. However, Jericho missed a springboard dropkick to Barrett from the apron. Barrett went to get Jericho and argued with Miz. The ref was counting Barrett out but only got to seven. Back in, he walked right into a Codebreaker for the win.

WINNER: Jericho, at 8:15. Fine finish. Miz really put over on commentary what it meant to be on the Wrestlemania card.

They replayed the finish. Afterward, he picked up a mic and said he’d like to celebrate the win with all the fans in the audience, but he pointed out the stage set-up and assumed Fandango would be making his grandiose entrance. He lamented the fact that he still can’t pronounce his name properly. He tried again and purposely messed it up several times. Eventually, Fandango and his dancer did come out. After a brief performance, Fandango and the young lady made their way toward the ring. Fandango left her in the aisle and approached the ring. Jericho invited him in, but Fandango declined amid “you can’t wrestle” chants. Instead, he and his lady went back up the ramp. More dancing!

- Next, a preview of the Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H No Holds Barred Wrestlemania match. And a very special interview with Paul Heyman.

[Commercial Break]

- The exterior of the Giant Center in Hershey was shown.

- The video package for Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar aired.

- The announcers talked about the possibility of Triple H having to retire after his match with Brock Lesnar. Then they threw it to a sit-down interview conducted by Josh Mathews with Paul Heyman. Heyman interrupted Mathews’ first question. And his second. Heyman said he’s doing the interview because Lesnar wants it on the record that Hunter is in a must-lose situation. They had a lot of makeup showing bruises around Heyman’s left eye. He said Brock is going to crush Triple H at Wrestlemania. He said Hunter then has to live vicariously through the superstars under his employ. He said Triple H will end up resenting the WWE locker room. He even questioned how Triple H can lead the locker room if he resents them. Then the locker room will rebel and rise up against him. Hey, haven’t we already seen that? Heyman said Hunter has made two major mistakes: One, he thought he could compete intellectually with Heyman. Then, he thought he could compete with Lesnar physically. But he was no match for either man.

- Up next, the Bench Press Challenge between Ryback and Mark Henry.

[Commercial Break]

- Teddy Long and Booker T. were atop the stage, ready for the Bench Press contest. Booker said this contest would prove who is the strongest. Booker said this is used in the NFL Combine and it’s the Bench Press (although it sounded like he said “bitch press”). Ryback was introduced first. Cole said the bar will contain 225 pounds. Booker was interrupted by Teddy Long, who introduced Mark Henry. Cole said the world record for that weight is 51 reps. Booker had to get between Henry and Ryback, lest they come to blows. Booker said if either of them violates his no-contact clause, they’ll be banned from Mania. Long said they flipped a coin to see who would go first, and it came to Henry. Scott Armstrong was out there as ref. JBL said it was like watching (Teddy) Arcidi and (Bill) Kazmaier in their prime. Henry took his time getting ready and utilized some smelling salts. The crowd counted along as Henry did the lifts with ease. It wasn’t until about 43 when he began to slow down. He finished with 53 reps, which would theoretically break the world record, you know, if this weren’t pro wrestling. “That’s what I do!” shouted Henry in Ryback’s face.

Ryback was up next. He got a “feed me more” chant going. Henry told him to save his energy. The crowd didn’t really count along with Ryback as they did with Henry. Ryback got to 53, then Henry pushed the ref out of the way and pushed the weight down into Ryback’s chest in throat to prevent a 54th. Ryback fell off the bench and began coughing. Henry told Booker he didn’t put his hands on Ryback. Trainers and medics came out to check on Ryback. JBL noted that Ryback was going to break Henry’s record. The crowd chanted “Feed me more” as Ryback got to his feet and they went to break.

[Commercial Break]

- A replay aired of Henry stopping Ryback from breaking his record.

2 – DOLPH ZIGGLER & A.J. LEE vs. DANIEL BRYAN & KAITLYN – MIXED TAG-TEAM MATCH

Given Kaitlyn’s warnings about Bryan when A.J. was dating him, this is somewhat of an odd pairing. They showed Big E. Langston taking out Kane two weeks ago on Smackdown. After Ziggler and Bryan had a brief exchange, the women tagged in. Ziggler distracted Kaitlyn, leading to A.J. taking over. Bryan made a hot tag and went to work on Ziggler. Hurricanrana off the top, but Ziggler rolled through for a two-count. Langston distracted Bryan, so Kane took him out. A.J. jumped on Bryan’s back when he went outside after Ziggler. Ziggler was back-dropped into the timekeeper’s area. Inside the ring, A.J. walked into a spear from Kaitlyn for the decision.

WINNERS: Bryan and Kaitlyn, at 3:17. A little surprised they put Kaitlyn over A.J. I think Kaitlyn vs. A.J. would make a worthwhile Divas title match at Wrestlemania were WWE so inclined.

- A Shield video aired. They addressed their Wrestlemania opponents. Dean Ambrose seemed to doubt the three men could get along at Mania. Seth Rollins said the faces don’t stand a chance against them. They said people will believe in The Shield at Wrestlemania.

- The Great Khali, Hornswoggle, and Natalya came to the ring. Khali was in store for singles action against Jack Swagger, next.

[Commercial Break]

- On his way to the ring, Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter cut a promo on Khali. Colter talked about making service calls and hearing a voice on the other end that sounds like Khali’s. He said Swagger “broke a bone to bind a country,” referring to the injury he inflicted on Ricardo Rodriguez. “We the people,” finished Swagger

3 – THE GREAT KHALI vs. JACK SWAGGER

Swagger avoided a Khali chop early on, but ran into an overhead chop. Khali managed to hit the chop to the chest in the corner. Khali went for the Punjabi Plunge, which Swagger avoided. Knees to the gut by Swagger, but he ended up walking into a big boot. Khali set up for the big overhead chop, but Swagger rolled out of the ring. Khali tried to go after him, but Swagger hung Khali’s leg on the top rope. More leg work from Swagger. The men fought outside the ring, where Swagger applied the Patriot Lock on Khali. The ref counted both men out.

WINNER: Double count-out, at 3:02. What was that about? They couldn’t have Swagger apply the move in the ring for the win?

After the match, Hornswoggle tried to break the hold, and just as Swagger seemed poised to put him on the shelf too, Ricardo Rodriguez limped out on a crutch and with a mic. Rodriguez came to the ring, but it was just a set-up so that Alberto Del Rio could attack Swagger from behind. Cross arm-breaker by Del Rio, but Colter pried Del Rio off Swagger. Rodriguez then nailed Colter in the back with the crutch. Del Rio swung and missed with the crutch twice, leaving Swagger and Colter to retreat.

- Next, how did C.M. Punk disrespect Undertaker this past week? We’ll see...next.

[Commercial Break]

- The Raw Rebound aired.

- The announcers talked about Punk vs. Undertaker.

- Cole threw it backstage to Renee Young (nee Paquette, from The Score in Canada), the newest member of the WWE broadcast team. She stood by with Sheamus, Randy Orton, and The Big Show. Before a question was asked, they showed footage of The Shield being handled by the three faces on Raw. Orton said they have a common enemy, so nothing else really matters. Sheamus and Show argued over who really had the problem, until Orton brought them back on the same page. He said being on the same page is bad news for The Shield. Their match is next.

[Commercial Break]

- It was announced that Arnold Schwarzenegger would induct Bruno Sammartino into the WWE Hall-of-Fame.

- Sheamus made his entrance first, then Randy Orton and The Big Show.

4 – SHEAMUS & RANDY ORTON & THE BIG SHOW vs. TEAM RHODES SCHOLARS & ANTONIO CESARO

Damien Sandow did mic work on his way to the ring, noting all three have a mutual disdain for ignorance. Cody Rhodes said their opponents are all common. Cesaro did some weird yodel, which I guess we learned on WWE Main Event this week. Sheamus aggressively went after Cesaro until Cesaro fought back with European uppercuts. Hip-toss was blocked and turned into a short-arm clothesline from Sheamus. Show tagged in and Cesaro tagged Rhodes. Some history between these two, specifically one year ago at this time. Show chopped Rhodes repeatedly in the chest. He also knocked Cesaro off the apron and chased Sandow to ringside. Big slam on Rhodes. They went to break at 2:00 of the match.

[Commercial Break]

Orton was attempting to fight out of the heel corner out of break. Frequent tags by the heels helped to slow the momentum of the babyface trio. Knee-lift by Rhodes put Orton down again. Sandow tagged in for two at 7:08. Orton fought out of a rest-hold applied by Sandow. His back-breaker evened things up at 8:06. Show shoved Cesaro off the top rope as he tried to interfere. Rhodes and Sheamus made the tags. Sheamus caught Rhodes on the apron and gave him a clubberin’. He did the same to Sandow. Rhodes came back in and walked right into White Noise. Things broken down with Cesaro and Sandow interfering. Show knocked out Cesaro with one punched and sent Sandow into an RKO. Show and Orton played cheerleader as Sheamus readied for the Brogue Kick. He connected on Rhodes for the win, despite Show and Orton not getting out of the ring (or even attempting to).

WINNERS: Sheamus, Orton, and Show, at 10:17.

The Shield’s music hit and they came through the crowd after the match. The babyfaces ran up the stairs to meet them, a tactic The Shield were not ready for. The fight ensued on the staircase, with Orton paired off with Rollins, Sheamus and Ambrose, Reigns and Show. They fought atop the arena until The Shield retreated through the exit. The faces stood tall to end the show as Orton’s music played.

TNA NEWS: Impact Wrestling TV ratings dips this week!

The live TNA Impact on Thursday, March 28 scored a 1.03 rating, down slightly from the past two weeks (1.07 ratings) and down one-tenth of a rating from three weeks ago (1.13 rating).

It was the first Impact to round down to a 1.0 in over one month dating back to February 21.

Impact also declined in viewership, averaging 1.31 million viewers compared to 1.39 million viewers last week. It was the fewest viewers since Feb. 14.

On cable TV Thursday night, Impact ranked #33 in overall viewers, #25 among males 18-34, and #16 among males 18-49. Impact took a big hit in the key male demos, declining two-tenths of a rating in m18-34 and m18-49.

Impact was up against the Sweet 16 Round of the NCAA Tournament, which drew about 7.0 million viewers on broadcast and cable TV. Impact was also opposed by History's "Swamp People," which averaged 4.6 million viewers and drew in Spike TV's ideal future audience of both adult males and females.

One year ago this week, the March 29, 2012 Impact scored a 1.05 overall rating and scored one-tenth of a rating higher in the key adult demos.

Caldwell's Analysis: Last year this week, Impact was not on the road and Impact was not live, so those "dangling carrots" have yet to produce week-to-week ratings growth for Impact. Live vs. Taped doesn't make a difference, whereas being on the road should produce fruit in the long-term once the audience picks up on TNA looking & feeling like a bigger deal in an actual arena.

It comes down to the Creative and Marketing, especially giving top babyfaces some credibility for the audience to get behind them while simultaneously erasing seven or eight months of booking Aces & Eights like bumbling henchmen before trying to flip the switch with Bully Ray at Lockdown.

REID FLAIR PASSES AWAY

Reid Flair, the youngest son of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, has passed away, PWInsider.com has sadly confirmed. He was only 25 years old.
Reid was found this morning in Charlotte, North Carolina. He had just returned from working for All Japan.
Reid was seen in the latter days of WCW, where both he and his father had heads shaved as part of an angle where Ric feuded with Vince Russo. Reid later began training as a pro wrestler under Bobby Eaton and George South, but personal issues, including a heroin arrest, sidetracked what was expected to be instant stardom for Reid, who had an excellent amateur pedigree.
At one point, he was slated to debut with Ring of Honor when the promotion was owned by Cary Silkin, but the arrest caused ROH to back off on those plans. That led to the beginning of the end of their relationship with Ric Flair.
Since then, there had been talk of Reid going to WWE developmental and the company had taken a look at him, but didn't sign him to a contract. He had been working in All Japan and was slated to make appearances with Ric this weekend in Maryland.
Our deepest condolences to the Flair family during what can only be described as a tragic, sad day.

SEAN WALTMAN EXPLAINS HOW BAD HIS ANAL INJURY TRULY WAS!

Sean "X-PAC" Waltman commented via his Twitter on his most recent injury in which he tore his rectum after performing his trademark Bronco Bustee, writing, "The video doesn't do justice to the severity of the situation. the turnbuckle wasnt covered & my landing should have been 45 degrees. I ended up landing hard & horizontal. The turnbuckle ripped me another new a hole. I knew it right away, U can see me tell ref "tore my ass!" I went to after party briefly, but had to leave as blood starting gushing. Hotel looked like a murder scene. So much blood. Hotel security called ambulance & Dr Morken @ HCMC performed sphincterplasty to save me from having to have a colostomy bag. It hard not to laugh. So feel free to find it humorous. OPENING FOR IMPACT, TNA STARS CAST IN NEW DRAMA

The following press release was issued today:
IMPACT WRESTLING SUPERSTARS TARA AND MR. PEC-TACULAR TAKE ON SCRIPTED DRAMA

Wrestlers Are Soap Stars in “Tainted Dreams”

NEW YORK CITY, March 26, 2013 - “IMPACT WRESTLING” superstars Lisa Marie Varon, known as Tara, and five-time CBS “Big Brother” superstar, Jessie Godderz, known as Mr. PEC-Tacular, have signed on to join the cast of NYC Brand Production's "Tainted Dreams." This new, scripted “soap within a soap” is set to blow the lid off the behind-the-scenes comedy and drama of producing a daily soap opera. “Tainted Dreams” is a rare, realistic look at the interaction of actors, cast, and crew involved in producing a daily, scripted drama.

Emmy-winning director and “Tainted Dreams” creator, Sonia Blangiardo finds the casting choice of Jessie and Lisa Marie natural and symbiotic.

“Wrestling has evolved into an ‘action soap opera,’ combining athletic prowess with the on-going, serialized drama taking place in and out of the wrestling ring,” said Blangiardo. “There is a tremendous crossover audience between traditional soap operas and wrestling which creates a perfect fit for Jessie and Lisa Marie in our cast.”

In the world of pro wrestling, Mr. PEC-Tacular (Jessie) and Tara’s (Lisa Marie) onscreen chemistry has earned them monikers such as "The Hollywood Power Couple" and "The First Couple of IMPACT WRESTLING" where they already rival the popularity of some of the most well-known pairings in wrestling history. Both Godderz and Varon are world-class athletes in their own right. Godderz is the youngest 2-Sport Pro Athlete in History. Lisa Marie was an All-American in Cheerleading and has held numerous fitness and wrestling titles including winner of the Fitness America Series, Miss Galaxy and the TNA Wrestling Knockouts Championship.

“Tainted Dreams” boasts a unique combination of high profile soap stars, reality stars, sports figures, singers and theater actors. To date, casting announcements for “Tainted Dreams” include Dina Manzo (“Dina’s Party and “Real Housewives of New Jersey”) Alicia Minshew (“All My Children”), Kelley Menighan Hensley (“As The World Turns”), Walt Willey (“All My Children”), Marnie Schulenburg (“As The World Turns”), Michael Lowry (“All My Children”) and Anthony Wilkinson (“My Big Gay Italian Wedding”).

Distribution details for "Tainted Dreams" are not yet finalized.

COMPLETE WWE RAW REPORT: FOUR QUESTIONS: DID THE UNDERTAKER GET HIS URN BACK?; DID SHEAMUS ACCEPT BIG SHOW AS PART OF HIS TEAM WITH RANDY ORTON?; ON MOST NIGHTS TWO PEOPLE ASK QUESTIONS, BUT WHY ON THIS NIGHT WAS IT FOUR?; ARE YOU READY FOR WRESTLEMANIA?; AND MORE

We have less than a fortnight until the biggest night in the wrestling year in the biggest media market in the United States. What will the WWE do with only two more episodes of Raw before Wrestlemania? What will Triple H say now that we know that his career is on the line against Brock Lesnar? Has Big Show convinced Sheamus enough to earn his trust against the Shield? What will Brickie do tonight? Will anyone else join the stacked Hall of Fame Class of 2013? The ROCK is back.
We are in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and your announcers are Michael ‘Lionel Simmons’ Cole and Jerry ‘Halloween Havoc 1992’ Lawler.
CM Punk, Paul Heyman, and the urn make their way to the ring. Paul tosses the urn to Punk and the pass is complete.
Punk says that they say that the Undertaker’s undefeated streak will never be beaten. This dead man is unstoppable on the grandest stage of them all. They say in hush tones that the urn feeds Undertaker power and is a representation of his spirit. They have a lot of opinions. They say a lot of stupid things . . . don’t THEY.
Who are THEY? He asks Paul Heyman and then Paul Bearer. Do they know what they are talking about? They don’t because everyone has opinions and the only opinion that matters is his. They are irrelevant and he is the only one who matters.
Last year the Undertaker went 20-0. Twenty times he has dispatched his opponent. It should have ended last year with Undertaker, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels skipping into the sunset. Punk says that Undertaker ruined it all and came onto his show and pointed at his sign. Because of his actions and storybook career at Wrestlemania, it is being rewritten by a man who is not afraid of the dark or of the undefeated streak. It is being rewritten by the best in the world.
Punk says that it is the Undertaker’s fault. Punk says that he did not take the urn to disrespect Paul Bearer. He took it because of what it means to Undertaker. It does not matter to him. Punk tosses the urn to the mat. The streak is the Undertaker’s. Punk will break it. Punk has something that the Undertaker does want. Taker is at a psychological disadvantage.
Taker coming back against any other man would have been great. He would have gone 21-0. He could have gone 30 or 50 and 0. There is nobody in the world who is better than him. There is nobody in the world smarter than him. There is nobody in the world who will beat him at Wrestlemania. Punk says that he is the 1 in 20-1.
Punk says that he is waiting for the lights to go out and the chill to enter the arena. He is waiting for the magic words ‘Rest in Peace’. Rest is something he has never been afforded and he has never been at peace. Punk says that the streak will rest in peace.
There is a gong and the lights go out.
The lights go back on and the Undertaker is in the ring and he punches Punk. Taker with a forearm to the head and Paul picks up the fumble and runs like Keith Byers to the end zone.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Fandango has something to say before his match, but he is interrupted by Chris Jericho’s music.
Jericho with a double leg take down and he punches Fandango. Jericho with chops to Fandango. Fandango goes to the floor and he goes up the ramp.
Dolph Ziggler comes to the ring and we have a match.
Match Number One:Chris Jericho versus Dolph Ziggler (with AJ Lee and Big E Langston)
Jericho takes Ziggler to the mat and he punches Dolph. Jericho with a running back elbow followed by a suplex and a kick to the back. Jericho with a forearm to the back but Ziggler with a kick to the chest. Ziggler with a punch to the head. Jericho with punches and chops. Jericho with a double leg take down and he tries for the Walls of Jericho but Ziggler escapes.
Ziggler runs into an elbow and Jericho goes up top for a cross body and he gets a near fall.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Dolph Ziggler is in control of the match. We see footage from the commercial break when Big E Langston pulled Jericho off the apron. Jericho with a rollup for a near fall. Ziggler with a drop kick for a two count. Ziggler with a splash into the corner. Jericho with chops to Ziggler but Ziggler with a knee and an abdominal stretch.
Jericho with a hip toss to escape. Ziggler misses the Stinger splash and Jericho with shoulder tackles. Ziggler sends Jericho over the top rope but Jericho lands on the apron and he goes up top for a double sledge to the head. Ziggler with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot and Jericho with a bulldog. Jericho with a springboard drop kick to Langston.
Ziggler with a leaping DDT for a near fall. Ziggler tries for a sleeper but Jericho pushes him off. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho but Ziggler kicks him away. Ziggler has a drop kick blocked and Jericho applies the Walls of Jericho and Ziggler taps out.
Winner: Chris Jericho
After the match, Langston attacks Jericho and then he gives Jericho the Big Ending. Langston tells Jericho that it is over for him.
From out of nowhere, Fandango makes his way to the ring with his Dancing with the Superstars partner. Fandango dances in front of Jericho. Fandango kicks and punches Jericho. He tells Jericho to say his name. Jericho chops Fandango but Fandango with a boot to the head.
Fandango goes up top for the leg drop.
Fandango kneels over Jericho and tells Jericho his name.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Sheamus is in the interview area and we see footage from the Smackdown main event involving Sheamus, Big Show, and Randy Orton against 3MB. Then we see the issues between Sheamus and Show only to have Randy Orton play peacemaker while The Shield observed the problems between two of their opponents at Wrestlemania and Big Show.
Matt asks Sheamus if they have buried the hatchet with Show. Sheamus says that when the Shield tucked their tails between their legs . . .
The Shield attack Sheamus and Randy Orton hits Roman Reigns in the back with a chair. Rollins and Ambrose attack Orton. Big Show goes after the Shield and they leave.

We are back and Michael Cole announces that Big Show is officially the partner of Randy Orton and Sheamus.
Jerry Lawler is in the ring and he says that John Cena will be facing The Rock in a historic match. Tonight, it will be a historic night as well. At Wrestlemania they will answer the question of who is the WWE Champion. Tonight, a panel of Hall of Famers and superstars will ask Rock and Cena the questions.
The first panelist is Booker T. The next panelist is Mick Foley. The third man to ask the questions is Dusty Rhodes. The final panelist is Bret Hart.
When we come back, Rock and John Cena will answer their questions.
We are back and the Rock makes his way to the ring first. Out next is the challenger for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania, John Cena.
Jerry explains the rules. Each man will be asked a question. The other person will be able to answer the same question.
The first question comes from Mick Foley. Mick mentions that he teamed with the Rock at Wrestlemania 20, a match that he lost. He felt bad for losing and costing the Rock for winning what people thought was his final Wrestlemania match. Mick says that he is a John Cena fan, but he felt a weight off his shoulders when Rock beat Cena last year.
Mick asks John if he is ready to live with the type of regret if he loses to Rock for a second time.
Cena says that there is no mistaking that April 7th will be a historic day for the WWE. Whether he wins or loses, it is safe to say that it will change the face of the WWE forever. If he wins, he gets satisfaction, the title, and much needed redemption. If he was asked last year about losing he would not talk about the subject. Then the Rock beat him so he knows that losing is an option. John says that regret is a tougher story and he says that he would feel like Donovan McNabb.
Donovan McNabb is the greatest quarterback to put on an Eagles uniform, but the people in the city he played in treat him the way they do because he could not win the big one. Cena says that Philadelphia deserves someone who can win the big one. Much like the WWE Universe, they need to have someone who can win the big one. If he loses on April 7th, he will carry the legacy of Donovan McNabb. He will get reactions of disdain. He might be statistically superior but he cannot win the big one. He can look in the mirror and handle failure. The Rock does not know about failure . . . not yet, but he soon will.
Rock says that he doesn’t know about failure? He knows about failure. When he was 23 years old, he was so broke he had to get a mattress from the back of a motel. A year later, he got his big break from the WWE. Six months later he flopped and hurt his knee. He was told to go home. He could have quit and given up his career, but he worked his ass off. He returned to the WWE Universe. He said to give him a mic. Two years after that, he became the youngest WWE Champion and he headlined Wrestlemania in this city.
FINALLY . . . the Rock has come back to Philadelphia. He was the youngest champion with the title in one hand and a Pat’s Cheesesteak in the other. That night, he got his ass kicked by Steve Austin. He sat alone in that locker room thinking about the loss and failure. He was going to come back better and stronger. Those failures led him to be the man he is today. The man he is today is going to whip Cena’s ass at Wrestlemania.
Bret Hart is next. He says that it pained them to see them last year because of the bad blood. He can see that something has changed. What happened and changed.
Rock says that last year two men went at it to see who was the best. There were no cheap shots or screwjobs. John didn’t bitch, moan, and complain after the loss and he respected that about John.
John says that he started it when he called out the Rock years ago. He wanted the Rock to prove that he loved WWE. He hosted Wrestlemania 27 and then Rock beat him at Wrestlemania 28. Cena thought that Rock would walk away after winning in his home town. Then Rock came out and said that he wanted to be the WWE Champion. Cena says that Rock has proven his love for the business.
He respects Rock and appreciates what Rock said about taking the loss. We will see how Rock handles his loss in 13 days.
Booker T is next. He points out that he has been in the ring with both men. John says that he thinks that he can beat Rock at Wrestlemania. He wants to know why.
John says that he has to.
Rock asks if that is it. He wants to know what kind of weak and shallow answer that is. Why not wipe a monkey’s ass with ‘I have to’. He wants John to rip himself open and tell everyone why.
John says that Rock cannot beat him. Cena says that he beat himself. One bad decision and he gets caught up in one personal moment. Some people like him and some people don’t like him. For ten years, he has been coming out and half the crowd likes him and half hate him. Rock is the only person who has clouded his decision. John says that he had Rock beat. Cena handled the best that Rock had. Cena figured he had to use Rock’s stupid move and one time, Rock got in the way of making the easiest decision. On April 7th, he will do it his way. He knows that he is better than the Rock. Much more importantly, the Rock knows that Cena is better than the Rock.
Rock says there is one thing that he does know. If Cena had him beat, he would have beaten him. Rock points out that he kicked out of the AA before Cena tried for the People’s Elbow. There is one more legend who Rock wanted to be like. Rock tells Cena ‘to be the man . . . you gotta beat the man’.
Rock tells Cena that between the Rock and him, John Cena will never . . . and means ever be the man.
Dusty says that they need to take the gloves off because Wrestlemania is not about respect. It is about winning and losing. There are no guarantees in this business. You don’t always get what you want and what you want is now what you get.
What do you really want on April 7th.
Cena says that he wants to win the big one and dominate the Rock. At the end of Wrestlemania, he wants the Rock to be looking up at the sky and he will finally realize that this ball cap wearing punk belongs in the Attitude Era. Rock will realize that John Cena is better than the Rock. He wants to do to the Rock what the Rock did to him. He wants to give Rock a loss that will haunt him for the rest of his life.
Rock wants to know who Cena is talking to. Rock says that he is not wired that way. The day after Wrestlemania, he will wake up as the WWE Champion. John Cena will wonder why he could not bring it again. If he wants to prove the Rock and the world wrong, prove them wrong at Wrestlemania. He wants Cena to prove him wrong right now.
Lawler tries to get them to calm down. Cena and Rock get face to face and Cena shows Rock he cannot see him. Rock pushes Cena but Cena gets Rock on his shoulders. Rock escapes and hits the Rock Bottom.
We go to credits.

Dan Hardy talks surgery and retirement following 'Wolf Heart' diagnosis that kept him from UFC on FOX 7!

It wasn't that long ago when former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight number one contender Dan Hardy talked about hanging up the gloves at the conclusion of his 2013 fight campaign.
See why here.
Now that he's been diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome (also known as "Wolf Heart"), a condition that knocked him out of his UFC on FOX 7 scrap opposite the "Immortal" Matt Brown, he may have already seen his last fight.
Or has he?
Hardy tells Steph Daniels the decision could ultimately come from his employer.
"I've been thinking about it, and I don't want to think for a second that I'm done fighting, because I still love training and fighting. At the same time, I also feel that there are lots of other things that I should be doing, things that I should be concentrating on in different areas of my life. What it comes down to, though, is what the UFC is going to have to say on it. I certainly don't know where the UFC stands on using me to fight in other states, because obviously now, this will be on my medical record. I've got a wolf heart, and now everybody knows it [laughs]. Then you have to wonder if the UFC can use me on shows in Europe or Australia, or things like that. Those are also options to consider. I just know that, at this point, I'm not going to have the surgery, because I don't think I really need it. If, at any point, I start to feel like it might be necessary, I'll start considering it. As of right now, I'm good, and I don't want anybody messing with me."
Hardy (25-10), who turns 31 in May, will have to convince athletic commissions he's okay to compete.
Wolf Heart is a heart condition in which there is an abnormal extra electrical pathway of the ticker, leading to episodes of rapid heart rate, according to people much smarter than me. Complications include heart failure and low blood pressure, two things that could be problematic when you're in a fistfight.
Surgery often corrects the problem, but it doesn't sound like Hardy is in a big hurry to go under the knife.
Until he makes a decision, or a decision is made for him, "The Outlaw" will keep his career on hold. The good news is, if this is his last hurrah, he can at least go out with a win, having decisioned Amir Sadollah in front of a Nottingham crowd back in late 2012.
Anyone think we've seen the last of the mohawk?

Video: UFC Fighters Discuss a Potential Vince McMahon vs. Dana White Battle!

As noted earlier, UFC fighter Chael Sonnen blasted Vince McMahon on Twitter regarding a proposed fight against UFC President Dana White.
Sonnen and Kenny Florian discussed Vince vs. Dana on last night's episode of UFC Tonight on FUEL.

Backstage News on a Kofi Kingston Heel Turn, Another HHH Change In WWE Developmental!

- There have been discussions about turning Kofi Kingston heel with the idea that he's talented but has been booked in a way where they will never be able to get him over as a babyface without a heel turn and push first.

- A new change in WWE developmental is to give the talents bullet points instead of scripts and teaching them to do promos like they used to be done.

It's been noted that Triple H is far more old school in his thoughts on pro wrestling than Vince McMahon and when he's in full control, we will likely see the storylines evolve back to a more believable and serious approach.

WWE Wants a More Mom & Kid-Friendly Product, Backstage News on Vince McMahon!

- We noted before how Vince McMahon has been more hands-on backstage at RAW with Eric Pankowski gone. Vince is said to have been really on his game the past two weeks and was described as being like the Vince of old - revitalized and healthy.

- As noted before, WWE is hiring for a new Vice President of WWE Kids Entertainment. They want someone who has worked in children's programming for at least ten years and is into kids pop culture and current trends.

WWE is planning a specific initiative to gear up to promote their product harder with kids and families. Specifically, they are looking at new ideas and initiatives to make the WWE brand stronger with mothers and their children

TNA Impact Wrestling Preview For Tonight (3/21)

A statement from the Aces and Eights about Thursday's IMPACT: "Our President Bully Ray will be on IMPACT and tell the whole 9 months story on how he pulled of the greatest con in history! We're talking about a step by step video look at Bully's genius for those who questioned the Aces and 8s plan!"

- After the violent attack by the Aces and Eights this past week, how will Hulk Hogan, Sting, Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle and the rest of the IMPACT roster fight back? The Aces now have the advantage in their war against TNA - the question is, can Hulk Hogan do anything to stop them?

- The World Tag Team Championship will be on the line on Thursday on SpikeTV as Bobby Roode and Austin Aries defend against former champions Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez!

- Plus, the X Division Championship will be at stake as Kenny King defends against Zema Ion and the returning Sonjay Dutt!

- After what happened at Lockdown involving Gail Kim, Knockouts referee Taryn Terrell has been put on probation! Knockouts executive Brooke Hogan will be on IMPACT to make a ruling on Taryn's future in TNA! Did Terrell step over the line at Lockdown?

- In addition, Joseph Park will battle Matt Morgan on Thursday's IMPACT! Has Park gotten himself into more than he can handle against the genetic giant?

All this and much more on Thursday IMPACT broadcast on SpikeTV at 8/7c!

NIKKI ROXX DISCUSSES WHY SHE TURNED DOWN TNA'S PPV OFFER, THE COMPANY EXPECTING HER TO SHAVE HER HEAD FOR FREE AND MORE

Greg DeMarco Show with Nikki Roxx highlights.

On the impact of Shimmer Wrestling on women’s wrestling:
"It gave us a way to display that girls don’t just do catfights…we’re not just managers…we actually get in there and we can actually go. It was nice to have that and to have people see it. The crowd that’s there is just amazing."

On her reaction when TNA pitched the idea of shaving her head:
"We had kinda heard that they were looking for someone to do it…I thought about it and I didn’t really see what the big deal is. ... I think the funniest part is when they approached me, I had asked ‘How much are you guys going to pay me to do it’ and their response was ‘Oh, you want to be paid to do that?’ I actually enjoyed doing it, they were the ones who actually made me grow my hair back. They wanted me to get extensions [before it grew back]."

On the "No Carpet/No Curtains" shirt she wore after shaving her head:
"They had no idea what that meant for so many months, and then finally someone—I think it was Dixie—said ‘Oh, she can’t wear that on TV!’"

On declining an invitation to appear on the all-Knockout PPV special: "You can only get kicked so many times. ... I think that I had finally had enough. They had trouble treating me very well to begin with and I felt like I was being a glutton for punishment every time I went back. ... I felt like it was the right time to tell them no. It was like one of those bad relationships where you keep trying to get away from it. ... You can’t treat people badly and then hope that they’ll come back and hang out. ... A lot of the girls I’ve spoken to turned them down."

On the pay for a TNA Knockout: "I absolutely loved being a part of it. ... I loved being a part of history [with the division]. That being said, I feel like they are not sure how to treat their employees. ... There were multiple times where someone was working a day job while being on TV. You’re supposed to be an international TV star but you’re having to get a job tending bar or working at a Sunglass Hut. ... From my experience I would see that was straight across the board [not just limited to Knockouts]. ... They weren’t very biased about it."

CM Punk Reportedly Taking Time Off After WrestleMania 29, Why WWE Wants Him Rested Up!!

As noted, CM Punk has been pulled from the rest of the live events leading up to WrestleMania 29 so he can heal up and be fresh for the big match against The Undertaker. Punk is still scheduled for all RAW TV shows and is still advertised for WWE's European tour the week after WrestleMania.

However, word now is that Punk may not be working most live events here in the United States once WrestleMania is over, leaving John Cena to once again be the top draw for RAW live events. Punk not working live events after WrestleMania is expected to be for the short term.

With Punk taking time off, there's a feeling that he has helped carry the company for a while now and WWE needs to protect their investment.

Update on WWE's Plans for Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock, WWE Creative News!

- A lot of creative changes went down within WWE around the time of this year's Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Vince McMahon hasn't been happy with the booking of WWE's undercard for a while now, which is the main reason why Eric Pankowski got fired two weeks ago.

- As noted before, the current plan is for Triple H to defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 29. The big issue is that WWE officials want Lesnar to headline WrestleMania 30 against The Rock so he shouldn't be doing any jobs now. Regarding Rock vs. Brock, the plan is to do a subtle tease with the two on the RAW the night after WrestleMania this year. The idea is to only do a tease and not push it too hard so fans won't expect it's happening at SummerSlam.

TNA Knockouts Summer Shoot Preview Hot Pics!!

CM Punk Pulled from Live Events - Heat with WWE Creative?!

CM Punk has been pulled from all live events until WrestleMania 29 for a number of reasons including him being physically banged up. People, including Punk, are still downplaying the arm injury that he suffered in the RAW match against Kane last week. WWE officials want him fresh and ready for the big match at WrestleMania 29.

Speaking of Punk, there were a lot of people not happy with his backstage segment at last night's RAW where he juggled around Paul Bearer's urn to taunt The Undertaker. The feeling was that it wasn't as good as the Punk-Bearer-Taker stuff from the week before and that this one was bad for WWE and just bad in general. On a related note, it's said there is some kind of issue between Punk and WWE creative right now but we don't know what those problems might be.

Bully Ray Uses Anti-Gay Insults Towards A Fan At TNA Impact In Chicago!

TNA World Heavyweight champion Bully Ray got into a heated altercation with a fan at last Thursday’s Impact Wrestling tapings from Chicago, Illinois. While Aces & Eights was leaving the ringside area through the crowd, Bully got into a fan’s face, seemingly unprovoked, and unleashed the following anti-gay attack:

“Sit down, faggot. Yeah… What are you gonna do? You ain’t gonna do a damn thing. You got punked in your own frickin’ town. I’m punkin’ you out in front of your daughter. You got punked! You invented fags, you fag. You should’ve did something already, you should’ve did something already, but you ain’t doing nothing’. I’m punking you in front of your hometown. You frickin’ queer. You shave your frickin’ chest.”

Bully Ray is no stranger to riling up crowds with his words. Back in ECW, he would walk (and often) cross the line all the time, with several of his promos nearly inciting riots amongst ECW’s mature fanbase.

Both Bully Ray and TNA President Dixie Carter tweeted about the incident apologizing for his conduct:

Bully Ray: "Made an inappropriate comment to a fan in Chicago. If anyone was offended by this...I do apologize. No harm was meant.

Dixie Carter: "Heard @RealBully5150 made inappropriate comments to a fan in Chicago. This will not be tolerated. Sincere apologies on behalf of TNA."

COMPLETE WWE RAW REPORT!!

We are now less than three weeks away from Wrestlemania, but before we get there, we need to see who will be the Intercontinental Champion. Will it be the guy who was in the movie that a few people saw in the theaters, the guy from the movie that went straight to DVD, or the guy who is a rock star? What will Triple H say in response to Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman’s challenge for Wrestlemania? Now that CM Punk has poked the bear from HELL, what will Undertaker do to get his urn back?
We are in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and your announcers are Jerry ‘What about the Primanti Sisters’ Lawler and Michael ‘How would I look with Troy Polamalu’s hair’ Cole.
John Cena makes his way to the ring and he has something to say.
He says that there must be some Rock fans in the audience tonight. It is loud on both sides. You have twenty days left to pick a side. Since he stands in the middle of a sold out house divided, he has a message for all of the Rock fans. It is the same message he gave to the Rock a few weeks ago.
He says that Rock’s time is up and his time is now. That is a bitter pill to swallow but he says that because all they have is right now. Starting with the Royal Rumble, it has been a tidal wave of momentum. For those who stuck through the hard times and have been by him, he will not guarantee a victory. Cena says that he is ready for Wrestlemania and he points to the sign to prove it.
Darren Young and Titus O’Neil come out and Titus says that Cena is not the only one ready for Wrestlemania because the Prime Time Players are ready for Wrestlemania. Titus says that he is Rufus Pancake.
Cena mentions that we are in Pittsburgh, the home of the Steelers and Penguins. There are some great doctors who deal with multiple personalities and they will help Titus.
Titus says that the only medication that the WWE Universe needs is the Prime Time Players. Darren says that they put the ‘E’ in WWE Entertainment.
Titus and Darren do the Millions of Dollars Dance and Titus hurt his hip.
Cena says that they have something and they are making him smile. Cena says that their timing is a bit off. Cena says that maybe they will get it right after Wrestlemania.
Titus says that the people don’t want to see him at Wrestlemania. They want to see the Prime Time Players.
Titus says that people say that Darren looks like John Cena. Darren should be on the cover of Cocoa Pebbles. Titus says that his gout has flared up and he is a few days from his first Social Security Check and Friday is bingo night. Darren will tear John limb from limb.
Darren says that John will be crying and weeping on the ramp, the loser he is, just like last year’s Wrestlemania.
Cena asks if that is what it is all about. Cena tells Darren he steps in the ring and he will show Darren what it is like to be ready for the main event of Wrestlemania.

Winner: David Otunga
Ryback says that him, Randy Orton, and Sheamus are going to tear The Shield apart. As far as the World’s Strongest Man is concerned, they will cross paths again before Wrestlemania. When that time comes, it will be feeding time.
Mark Henry’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Vickie Guerrero and Teddy Long try to stop Mark from doing anything with Ryback. Teddy tells Mark to wait a moment.
Vickie says that Ryback is out of the six man tag match. If Ryback wants to wrestle at Wrestlemania, he will face Mark Henry.
Ryback appears to be in a good mood because he picks up David Otunga and carries him around the ring on his shoulders before hitting the marching muscle buster.
We might have a new match for Wrestlemania, but we have a Contract Signing between Brock Lesnar and Triple H.
Tout your stipulation choices.

There is a voice that sounds slightly like Paul Bearer and it is CM Punk playing ventriloquist with the urn. He says that he couldn’t hit the high notes. Paul’s death wasn’t a personal loss, it was a professional loss. At Wrestlemania, if Taker gets counted out or disqualified, it is still a loss.
Punk says that Taker is the best at Wrestlemania. Taker is the best in the world at Wrestlemania, but Taker has never faced Punk before and he is the best in the world 365 days a year. Before the contract signing, we go to Touts with stipulation suggestions.
We go to commercial.
We are back and it is main event time and that can mean only one thing . . . CONTRACT SIGNING. The table and chairs are in the ring so things are official.
Triple H comes to the ring first and we get the GameFountain. Paul Heyman comes to the ring with members of security, but there is a man who is conspicuous by his absence.
Hunter says that he would have thought that Brock Lesnar would have come out since he split his head open two weeks ago.
Paul wants to know if Hunter is saying that Brock is afraid of Hunter. Paul says that Brock is fearless. Paul says that he is afraid of Triple H because of the predicament that they have put Hunter in.
Choice A is that Hunter disappoints the WWE Universe by taking away the match the fans want to see the most. Choice B is to sign the contract and face Brock Lesnar without knowing what the stipulations are. He says that Hunter is a frustrated man so Paul says that he has his own security detail.
Hunter says that Paul has spared no expense on his security.
Paul tells Hunter how this will work. Brock has already signed the contract. Only if Hunter signs the contract will he tell Hunter what the stipulations are.
Hunter says that he doesn’t care about the stipulations and he will kick Brock Lesnar’s ass at Wrestlemania.
Paul says that since Hunter is a captive audience, he wants to enjoy this. Brock is really enjoying this. They have spent countless hours watching one piece of footage over and over and over and over again. Paul shows us what happened three weeks ago on Raw.
Paul says this is as big as it gets. Paul asks Hunter how do you top that. Paul says that he knows how to top that. Brock Lesnar versus the Game and the Cerebral Assassin is blindfolded. That isn’t the stipulation because Brock wants Hunter to be able to look in the face of the man who will be beating him up.
Hunter will have his hands cuffed and his legs shackled, but that means that Hunter will have an excuse for a loss.
Paul suggests that the winner of the match gets Stephanie. However, since we are getting personal, it would be more fitting if the loser got Stephanie.
Hunter attacks Paul and the security members. Hunter puts Paul on the table and he slaps Paul’s chest while Paul calls for Brock.
Hunter says that since he knows that Brock is not going to come out, why not sign the contract and he takes his time enjoying this because he has a captive audience. Hunter slaps Paul and then he signs the contract and then Hunter tells Paul to call his monster.
Hunter kicks Paul out of the ring and then he throws the chair on Paul.
Brock Lesnar’s music plays and he slams a chair on the stage before doing the Brock Bounce. Lesnar picks the chair up and goes to the ring.
Lucky for Triple H, he had placed the GameHammer under the table.
Lesnar throws the chair into the ring.
Paul tells Hunter he signed his death warrant.
Paul goes to the stage and he says that he is not tough guy, but Brock is the tough guy. It was worth it to get Hunter to sign the contract.
Brock Lesnar versus Triple H will be in a No Count Out, No Disqualification, No Stoppages Match. It is a No Holds Barred Match. Another stipulation is that Hunter’s career is on the line.
We go to credits
