UFC 100 buyrates news~!
UFC Conference calls news
Rich Franklin vs. Dan Henderson, come previsto, è stato modificato in Rich Franklin vs. Vitor Belfort.
TIto Ortiz è ufficilamente tornato in UFC, lotterà a 205, e "si ritirerà in UFC".
TNA CREATIVE TEAM UPDATE~!!

Young Bucks interview, talk about Dragon Gate, WWE or TNA as future goals PDF Print E-mail
We are Squared Circle Newsletter's writers. Squared Circle Newsletter is a French newsletter which offers you WWE, TNA and many others news twice a week.
This week, we published an interview of The Young Bucks, young and promising indy team.
Here are some highlights :
- We were always inspired by the Rockers and the Hardy Boys we actually do certain things that resemble both those teams. We throw in a mix of lucha libre with american and japanese.
- The NWA is more old school, DG is Japanese style hard hitting high spot action, ROH is a mixture between Japanese style and American just like PWG. So there is some differences between the companies we work but their all great places we probaley prefer working for DG because usually were on tour with them and they have a lot of shows to work in a short amount of time and we prefer staying busy.
- We think that the 2 shows are totally different so you cant really compare them because HDNets show is trying to reach a certain demographic with the WWE style booking while their house shows and PPV's usually reach out to the smart marks.
- Yes we actually hate wrestling in singles matches because we both feed off each other we love wrestling as a tag team and we will probaley try and stay together as a tag team for our whole careers if possible.
- We've worked for the WWE a few times doing little squash matches and work outs with them but we never got signed to a contract but one day we would love to work for them. We want to sign with TNA as soon as possible though if their interested in us, thats our goal our dream is to be in TNA.
- We probaley wouldnt reject a WWE contract unless TNA was offering us something because right now we rather go to TNA.

AJ Styles Update

Hardy-WWE Update + Vince news(spoiler)~!
WWE Night of Champions live coverage from Philadelphia
They were pushing Edge vs. Jericho, showing an Edge taped promo saying he'd come back to face Jericho and Jericho responded back.
This match had almost no heat. Jericho & Show worked as the faces but not overtly so as they were just doing it for psychological reasons to get the crowd with them, but not to be faces. As for the match, it was like a continuation of last week's TNA PPV. It just didn't work and nobody looked good. Finish saw Jericho use a codebreaker behind the refs back on DiBiase and Show pinned DiBiase.
C.M. Punk did a backstage interview asking people if after all the facts are in, are they still going to cheer Jeff Hardy? Punk then came out the entrance way and did the promo in front of fans, and asked for al the fans of Hardy to stand up and make some noise. They found people with merch and Hardy face paint. Punk said he doesn't blame anyone for supporting Hardy, but does blame their parents, or he should say, "parent," because they have to be single parent situations. He blamed the parents for not having any discipline with their children and being enablers. This isn't getting as much heat as you'd think, although there are chants for Hardy. How can you enable your children to look up to Hardy. Anyone under 17 who roots for Hardy are okay, but the problem is parents who aren't sitting down their children and teaching them the proper way to live. It starts with wearing a Hardy shirt, then smoking, drinking beer, Jack Daniels (the gateway drug for marijuana) and he's the one telling the truth. Then comes the old fashioned street drugs, then going through mom's purse because they're addicted to prescription medication. He told all parents to talk to their children. Tell them to "Just Say No." "Yes to the future of a straight edge drug-free America." Punk was very good on the promo, didn't get nearly the heat you'd think the promo would, and even got some cheers.
Tommy Dreamer vs. Christian for ECW title
Both worked as faces. Crowd was dead here for the most part, aside from an ECW chant early. They worked a solid match, but because they were just doing moves without crowd reactions and not changing the pace, it felt like choreographed spots. A ton of reversals, ending whe Christian winning clean with killswitch. The two hugged after the match.
Jericho & Show promo. Show said they aren't friends. Jericho said choosing him was his best business decision. He said they would be a better tag team then the Hart Foundation, British Bulldogs and Road Warriors. Show said they'd be the greatest tag team champions in history. Jericho then thanked Edge for making all this possible.
U.S. title match is next, first pinfalls wins, Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger vs. MVP vs. Carlito Colon vs. The Miz (got the best reaction) vs. Primo (replacing Show)
Good match. They even got the crowd into it with isolation spots and fast action. Carlito started working with Primo, making up with him. When everyone was down and Carlito was working with Primo, Carlito double-crossed his brother using the back stabber. However, Kingston made the save and pinned Carlito with the Trouble in Paradise to retain the title.
Michelle McCool vs. Melina for the women's title.
Melina used a Thesz press off the middle rope, but McCool reversed it with a folding press. These two went out to do a wrestling match. From a wrestling standpoint, well above what you'd expect from a women's match, and second best match so far this show. Crowd didn't seem to really be into it, though.
Randy Orton vs. HHH vs. John Cena is next. Normally that means Orton will go over because a new babyface champion usually ends the show. But today, all bets are off. It could be they expect Cena to be a heel since it's Philadelphia. But this isn't that Philadelphia crowd at all. Cena got heavily cheered.
During the match, the crowd changed and started turning on Cena, even once when there was a slugfest with Orton the crowd was completely with Orton. Clever finish as far as building up a rematch. HHH had Orton in the sharpshooter and then Cena put Orton in the STF. Orton was tapping and the ref went to ring the bell, but didn't ring it because he didn't know who would win in this situation. DiBiase and Rhodes came out to attack Cena and HHH. Because there is no DQ in a three-way, the match continued. Cena had Rhodes up for the Attitude Adjustment but then Orton used the STF on Cena and got the pin, so Orton retained. I wonder how they'll come back from this, because Orton vs. HHH at SummerSlam doesn't sound that enticing. Good finish. Not a great match, but a good title match.
Maryse vs. Mickie James for the Divas title is next. Miz was hitting on Maryse. She blew him off because he didn't win the U.S. title match. Miz shot back and said he's the Miz and can get any girl he want. Miz said she's nothing but a tease and she's going to lose the title, said she always butchers the English language and will come begging at him and he'll have moved. If this was TNA, it would guarantee Miz is helping Maryse keep the title.
James won the title with a DDT. The match killed the crowd. Maryse, as talented as she is, can't wrestle and shouldn't be out there for much time. They went too long, the match fell apart, and the last few minutes were painful to watch as you could tell James lost patience with Maryse when she was off on everything.
Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler for the IC title. Maria came out with Ziggler
Clean win by Mysterio with an enzuigiri, 619 and springboard splash. They were put in a bad position on the show, since it wasn't a major match and followed such a bad match. Plus, Ziggler has no credibility with the audience. I can't say Ziggler made a statement with his performance in the biggest singles match of his career, but he did okay.
C.M. Punk vs. Jeff Hardy for the world title headlines the show
They are way late right now. I can't believe they are wasting time showing the prematch video. A case of mistaken priorities
Jeff won the title with a twist of fate and swanton. I guess this makes it a lock that he's staying through SummerSlam. Good match, nothing out of the ordinary . Crowd got into this when Hardy kicked out of a GTS in the middle. Big crowd pop for the title change. Shorter than most main events but it didn't fell rushed at all.

DRAGON GATE USA: Open The Historic Gate
July 25, 2009
The Arena, South Philadelphia
ENTER THE DRAGON PPV Taping
Hostess/Ring Announcer, Dawn Marie
The Arena looks great. The most proffesional production I've seen there. Lots of black curtains on the walls and several jumbo-trons up on the walls at the entrance and in the corners. It was pretty packed but not a sell out. A few empty seats here and there. Every match went between 15 and 17 minutes except for the main event, which went about 20.
BxB Hulk v YAMATO is the opening match. BxB came out with two blonde dancing girls and almost took one of them out when he did his flip off the turnbuckle entrance. Missed her by an inch. Started out with some fast chain wrestling. Some very stiff kicks by both. BxB hit a standing corkscrew moonsault, an incredible missle dropkick and a devastating clothesline. Yamato comes back and gets a sharpshooter. Driver slam by BxB. Then misses a 450 splash. Yamato laughs. Sleeper into german suplex! Winner: Yamato.
2 Cold Scorpio v Ken Doane is next. Scorpio looked pretty old. This was the slowest match of the night but Doane made it good with his heel charisma and work. Started out stalling Zybysko-style. Then got into some chops back and forth. Crowd started chanting "We want Ziggler!" Doane couldn't keep a straight face. Belly to belly and german suplex by Doane. All Scorpio could do was dance. Doane missed a leg drop off the top rope. Then went for a moonsault but Scorpio got his knees up. Winner: 2 Cold Scorpio.
I talked to Doane after the match. Said he isn't booked after tonight but is open to doing more with Dragon Gate. This kid is 23 yrs. old and is just loaded with talent and charisma. Scorpio cut a retro ECW promo to a little bit of a pop but not much.
CHIKARA Eight Man Tag Team Showcase
Fire Ant and Soldier Ant of the Colony, Jigsaw and Mike Quackenbush v Amasis of the Osirian Portal, Gran Akuma and Icarus of F.I.S.T. and Hallowicked is the third match of the night. A very Pro-Chikara crowd. Quackenbush is over and the crowd chants "Quack,Quack!" This was a show stealer. Incredibly fast paced action. I couldn't even begin to call all the spots. It was like a stiff Lucha 8-man without the midgets and transvestites. Jigsaw is absolutely sick! Awesome high flying action! Jigsaw gets the pin. Winners: Team Chikara.
Quack cut a promo saying Dragon Gate and Chikara are like family but there's always some sibling rivalry. I like these two groups together.
Dragon Kid v Masato Yoshino is up next. Not as good as some of their matches I've seen but still very good. Tough following the eight man. They started a slow build and eventually got rolling. I've never seen two guys run the ropes faster than these two. Kid hit a moonsault off the top turnbuckle and caught Yoshino on the floor. Dragon Kid is like a Japanese Rey Mysterio. Huracanrana blocked by Yoshino into a massive powerbomb. Missile drop kick by Yoshino. Dragon Kid hits the rana standing on the top turnbuckle and gets the pin with a west coast (east coast?) pop. Winner: Dragon Kid.
Tag Team Challenge
CIMA & Susumu Yokosuka v The Young Bucks, Nick & Matt Jackson is next. The Young Bucks remind me of the Hardy Boys. Lot's of great double teaming and tag team specialist-type action. Cima hits a double foot stomp off the railing onto the floor. Lots of near falls. Cima goes coast to coast. A dizzying array of double moonsaults and the Young Bucks get the pin. Winners: Young Bucks.
Afterwards the Bucks cut a promo saying they are no longer "the tag team of the future. After tonight, they are the tag team of the present!"
Dawn Marie announces that Dragon Gate USA will be back at The Arena on November 28th. They will be holding a one night tournament to crown the first Dragon Gate USA Champion. The title will be called Open the Freedom Gate. No participants were named.
I spoke with Gabe Sapolsky during the intermission and he looked exhausted and happy. He said "As long as everything looks okay then I'm happy." Everything certainly looked good.
Open The Dream Gate Champion Naruki Doi v Shingo Takagi is the Main Event. Shingo is sporting a Rising Sun Mullet. Shingo dominates early. Nice build. Shingo hit a devastating powerbomb and a knee to the back of Doi's head off the top rope. Doi rallies and they trade chops. Shingo got Doi up for a vertical suplex and held him there while the crowd counted to 30! Lots of near falls. Doi hits a back suplex off the top rope and gets the pin. Winner: Naruki Doi.
Great show and a pretty hot crowd. Sayanora!

Tito Ortiz-UFC Update~!

WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Triple H.
Mio interesse per questo match? Zero.
ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer vs. Christian.
Oh Yeah!
Unified WWE World Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & ??? vs. Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes.
Come già scritto, spero in un nome importante. We'll see~!
Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler.
U.S. Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Big Show vs. MVP vs. Jack Swagger vs. Carlito vs. The Miz.
Cosa!?
Trainwreck town~!
Women's Champion Maryse vs. Mickie James.
Divas Champion Michelle McCool vs. Melina.
Vittoria della McCool. Non un granchè questa divisione eh. Dull.

Jarrett-TNA-Angle Update by Pro Wrestling Insider~!

Jarrett-TNA-Angle Update by Wrestling Observer~!

Tarec Saffiedine vs. Seichi Ikemoto (WW tournament reserve fight)
Ikemoto lost to Marius in that wild fight in the first round with all the flips and flying stuff. Tarec is an undefeated Belgian fighter out of Team Quest. Never seen him.
Rightys. Ikemoto opens wild. Tarec jabs, clinches, knees. Ref break. Ikemoto throwing crazy shit. Telegraphing. Trading low and body kicks. Tarec big low kick. Ikemoto telegraphing everything. Clinch. Tarec leans, knees. Throw attempt, nada. Ikemoto's foot kinda hooked the rope. Trading knees. Ref break. Upper/hook Tarec. Low kick. 1-2. Ikemoto shoots. Stuffed. Clinch. Tarec knees the legs. Trade body knees. Ikemoto throws crazy again. Missing everything. Ikemoto low kicking. Tarec misses a high kick and slips. Ikemoto drops some shots on him. Falls into FG. Ikemoto up and drops a couple rights back into FG. HG. Tarec turns in and scrambles up. Clinch. Tarec tries a foot sweep, nada. Ref break. Right lead Tarec. Ikemoto throwing wild. Right lead Tarec. Jump knee. Clinch. Ref break. Left upper Tarec. Round kick. Low kick, right lead. Tarec is ahead at this point. Might have had Ikemoto in trouble but let him off the hook.
Both short with kicks. Ikemoto still telegraphing. Tarec jabs, right short. Trade low kicks, Tarec's harder. Right lead Tarec, couple kicks Ikemoto. Tarec low kick, high kick, right lead, slips the counters. Straight left. Low kick. Picking Ikemoto apart right now. 2-2-1. Ikemoto shoots, stuffed, Tarec passes guard to HG. Side mount. Elbows the ribs. Knee on belly. Knee to head. Mount. Ikemoto leg levers, tries a heel hook, and reverses into FG and lands a few shots before the bell. I think Tarec won. Judges agree.
Mach Sakurai vs. Marius Zaromskis (WW tournament semifinal fight)
Mach wrecked Aoki in the opening round and Zaromskis was pulling Ed Carpentier moves in winning his fight over Ikemoto. It was so bizarre it's hard to call this one although Mach the heavy favorite up front. However, he misses making weight by a kg, and somehow GAINS 3 kg before his second try, and finally takes 5 hours to make weight, missing the press conference. Obviously, since this is the final 2 rounds of the GP and you have to fight and win twice, and he has had so little time to rehydrate, his chances now look really bad.
His body doesn't look good. Marius got the height and reach. Lefty. Flies out of the corner. Both bombing early and Mach lands more. Marius lands one and it does damage. Clinch. Break. Mach low kicking hard. Both landing bombs here. Mach shoots, scores, HG. Near the ropes, reset. Mach grinds the forearm. Marius turns in, scrambles up. Throws wild. Eats a right. Lands. Big right Mach but he's cut. Lands low kick and Thai knee. TO to check the cuts---one over the eye, one under. This is a long TO. Fight continues. 1-2 Mach. Big LHK to the neck Marius. Feinted Mach into it. Mach is down. Marius pounces. It's over and Marius goes into the finals not badly exhausted or damaged.
Andre Galvao vs. Jason High (WW tournament semifinal fight)
High and Galvao both had really good wins in the first tourney round too. Galvao probably favored to take this. Dunno if he could have handled an in shape Mach but doesn't matter now. Zaromskis vs. either guy I have no idea period.
Galvao a bit taller. High packing more muscle, lefty. Body kick High, high kick Galvao, TD High, reversal, reversal, High's on top. This is great. HG. Stalemate. Ref letting them work. High spins, pounds, up, Galvao has his back. High warned for grabbing the ropes. Break. Galvao been training with Anderson. Big left KD from High. High caught in HG again. Galvao spins to knee bar. High spins out but Galvao spins again and has it. High trying to push out with his other foot. Galvao hanging on. Ref calls action. High escapes. TD Galvao. High misses a Guillotine. HG. Elbows the body. High gives up back. Galvao body triangle. Galvao pounding body and head, trying to open the choke. Rolling. High defending. Galvao coming close. Mount. Back. Mount. Back. Pancaked. Pounding. Looks like the sleeper is in. Nope. Mount. High is out of the choke. G&P. Arm bar try at the bell. High survives. Galvao way ahead. Great action. High kneels facing the corner between rounds.
LHK High, KD, falls into Guard. Backs out. Standup. Pace slows. High/low kick, Galvao misses a hook. High lands some, misses some. Galvao shoots, nada. Counter right Galvao, does damage. Left hook, knees the body. Galvao slips on a HK. High kicks the legs a couple. Standup. Both short. Trade power shots, High's harder. Body kick High. Catches the liver. Another. High won that round but I think too little too late. Whoever wins, they had a lot harder, more tiring fight than Marius did and that will affect the finals.
Decision... Galvao. High. It's a split. Winner... HIGH. Dunno about that. Underdog vs. Underdog Final.
Andre Dida vs. Katsunori Kikuno
Kikuno coming out of DEEP and I don't know him. 10 fight win streak. Judo and karate BG. Dida gave Eddie Alvarez a pretty good fight in the LW GP, and upset Remigijus Morkevicius and nearly upset Buakaw in K-1.
Rightys. Dida wild rights, lands one. RHK, right lead flash KD. Lets him off the hook. Kikuno in karate stance. Pace slows. Kikuno liver kick. Nobody doing anything. Dida couple uppercuts. Kikuno short. Clinch, break. Kikuno keeps grinning. Pace slows again. Ref warns both fighters. Dida missing kicks. Kikuno lands a left, shoots, TD, mount, back, pancaked, G&P. Ref stops it.
Crowd likes his promo. Calls out Aoki.
Melvin Manhoef vs. Paulo Filho
Manhoef coming off a couple not so good fights in K1, and Filho coming off losing his mind. Who the hell knows who shows up. Filho, if sane, and back on those legal in Japan vitamins would be favored to weather the early storm and tap Manhoef, but again, who knows. Filho the way he looked in WEC doesn't belong in the same ring with Manhoef. Manhoef has the power to end any fight quickly. If Filho ain't right, short night.
Filho got his body back, whatta shock, huh? Say he had to try twice to make weight though. Let's see where his mind is. Manhoef gets some extra wiping down from the ref. Both guys have to be forced back to their corners.
Filho lefty. Shoots. Nada. Clinch. Manhoef lands a knee and a couple shots. Gets wild, Clinch, Manhoef knees, lands some heavy artillery. Filho in trouble. KD, HG. Manhoef pounding. Stands out. Standup. HK Manhoef. All over Filho. Uppers and hooks. Filho in desperation power TD straight to mount. Armbar. Rolling. Manhoef taps. It's over. Can't beat that for concentrated drama and action.
Intermission. This is a GREAT card so far. From the studio, Kruck recaps the Super Hulk. Actually the fights were so short they're shown in their entirety.
Back to Japan and here's Saku entering like he's gonna fight. No, cutting a promo. Face mask. T shirt and shorts. Holds the mask away from his mouth to talk. He's whispering and yelling. Crowd going nuts. Rips off the mask and throws it to them. The announcers of course babbling over him. Gee, be nice to know what he said. Okay, the promo was, Saku gave himself permission to fight Akiyama again in November? Uhhh... guys? Akiyama is under UFC contract. What the fuck are any of you talking about?
Yoon Dong Sik vs. Jesse Taylor
Taylor was the house heel from TUF couple seasons back. Has rattled off 6 wins since getting kicked off the show. Team Quest. I don't think he's ready for Yoon who has been in with much better comp.
Both righty. Dong right lead, Jesse shoots, backdrop TD, scramble up, Jesse takes him back down, side, back. Dong grabbed the ropes. Choke, pound, choke... scramble... Jesse regains control... Jesse backs off?... it's over. Dong verbal tap. Some kind of injury. Ankle. Looks like it flopped under him on the last scramble. No. Looks like it went on the backdrop. Dong is wheelchaired out. Nobody's fault but definite buzzkill.
Shinya Aoki vs. Vitor Shaolin Ribeiro
This promises to be submission fighting at about its best. Aoki has been active against great comp although coming off the hammering by Mach, and Shaolin coming off a win after a long layoff. Advantage Aoki probably. Aoki has height and reach of course. Shaolin has never lost to a Japanese.
Aoki lefty. Kicking short. Telegraphed. Vitor jabs. Right lead. Low kick mid kick Aoki. Right lead Vitor. Mid kicks Aoki. Some blocked. Vitor short with a right. Aoki landing some kicks. Two great grapplers having a lousy kickboxing match. This is WAY jive. Clinch. Aoki misses a knee. Ref warns both to engage. More kicks from Aoki. Clinch. Aoki fingers the face and lands sort of a punch. Aoki keeps kicking the arm. This seriously sucks. Vitor catches a kick and spills Aoki for a split second. Vitor short with a 1-2. Lands a jab. Sort of a right. Hard warning from the ref. Vitor shoots. Nada. Short with a right. Again. Shoots. Aoki stuffs again and lands sort of a right. Vitor misses a Hail Mary. Low kick Aoki. Vitor throws another Hail Mary and eats a knee from clinch. Aoki winning with extremely crappy standup. This REALLY sucks.
Vitor jabs. Right lead. Misses another. Aoki jump knee and takes back standing. Nada. Back to the pattern. Finally TD Vitor. FG. Vitor pounds the ribs and knees the butt. Center reset. Aoki Rubber Guard. Just using it to stall. Drops it. Vitor drops a couple shots. RG, nada. More RG. More nada. Vitor keeps dropping shots, not much on them.
Well, Vitor came on, but... dunno. Fight sucked, did I mention that? Decision... Aoki UD. MAN did that suck. If Aoki starts blubbering I'm gonna puke. Aoki showing more animation on his promo. The crowd is actually booing him which should tell you how bad this was. Says he's fighting Hansen next and wants Kawajiri on NYE. Last two fights have killed the house.
WW tournament final: Marius Zaromskis vs. Jason High
These guys gotta save the card. Despite the first fights, High looks fresher coming in. Both lefty. Marius jump knee caught but he blocks the throw. Clinch. High hiptoss but Marius regains his feet. Jason legtrip TD into FG. Marius blocks any G&P and elevates High off. Scrambles up but High jumps Guillotine. His feet catch in the ropes and he loses it and has Marius in FG. Goes for arm bar and misses but gets position to kick out and they're up. Excellent action here. Marius short with an LHK on the way up. Jason wild with a right and loses his footing momentarily. Marius short with another LHK. High shoots and eats a jab. Marius steps in and lands a highlight reel lead leg high kick that knocks High cold to win the GP and save the card (and I have to say again: after Aoki almost killed it). Coulda been a show of the year candidate.
Jeff Jarrett-TNA Update~!!

TNA Legends champion AJ Styles vs. Kevin Nash.
TNA Tag Team champions Beer Money Inc vs. Scott Steiner & Booker T.
Pochi cazzi, Beer Money inc.
IWGP Tag Team champions Team 3D vs. The British Invasion.
Ovviamente Team 3D ritiene!
TNA Knockouts champion Tara vs. Angelina Love.
Sting vs. Samoa Joe.
Il buonsenso qua direbbe Joe over Sting. Ok. Joe viene pinnato da Sting dopo i canonici 10 minuti per poi assalire Sting dopo l'arrivo dell'advisor.
Sharmell vs. Jenna Morasca.
Tempo sprecato.
In conclusione: no buys.

TNA house show report 7-17 Johnson City
Chris Sabin pinned Suicide in a triple threat also involving Jay
Lethal. Great match. Fast paced with some innovative spots. Suicide
was over with the crowd. They sort of told a story early on of Chris
Sabin and Jay Lethal double teaming suicide but that ended when Chris
Sabin kicked Jay Lethal while he had Suicide in a camel clutch.
Daffney pinned Rhaka Khan. A few sloppy spots but overall Rhaka Khan
wasn't as bad as usual.
Matt Morgan pinned Kip with the big boot. Matt Morgan was very over as
a heel as was Kip as a face.
Beer Money pinned Booker T and Scott Steiner with the DUI. Booker T
and Scott Steiner cut a promo before the match insulting the crowd.
Beer Money then cut a promo getting the crowd to chant Beer Money.
Intermission
Taylor Wilde pinned Madison Rayne with a rollup.
AJ Styles pinned Samoa Joe with the pele to retain the Legends title.
Good match. There were some flyers being passed around at the event
claiming the main event was AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle.
JB also kept talking throughout the show about how the loudest fans
would get backstage passes. After this match AJ got a thank you chant
and said thank you and had the idea of bringing the backstage to the
fans. Fans were then allowed to get a picture with AJ in the ring for
20$.

TNA house show report 7-12 Syracuse
- Sheik Abdul Bashir beat Consequences Creed. Creed pinned Bashir in about 10 seconds, Bashir demanded another show so Creed beat him in 6 seconds. Borash told us that was a new TNA record. Bashir offered Creed $5000 if he could beat him a third time. Bashir ended up winning with his feet on the ropes.
- Taylor Wilde beat Angelina Love. Decent match, Angelina's backside looks fantastic in tights, Taylor is very pretty but doesn't particularly 'stand out'.
- Homicide beat Suicide to retain the X Division title. Borash told us this week's Impact was taped last week, and Homicide was the new champion. Suicide does the finger-guns thing too much.
- Daniels & AJ Styles beat Samoa Joe & Kurt Angle. Advertised main event was Styles vs Angle.
- Jeremy Borash brought Mick Foley out to say a few words. Quick mention of going to school down the road, lots of bad Syracuse mentions, etc. The girls I was with, who know nothing about wrestling, were noticeably disappointed with Mick after an hour of six packs and low body fat. And Samoa Joe.
- Jay Lethal beat Eric Young. First time there was any real work outside the ring, I guess the guys discovered the guardrails made a good sound on the concrete or something.
- Beer Money, Inc. beat Team 3D. Lots of 'gay' spots with Beer Money. Brother Ray did a sunset flip, which shocked the hell out of me. Devon got the table, but Bashir ran in and blew Brother Ray low, one guy from Beer Money got the pin, then one guy put through the table afterwards (I couldn't tell which one either time).
After the bell, Ray got on the mic, pimped TNA and New York, and offered up a piece of the table. Devon picked out a cute 4-year old named Emma and brought her to the ring. Ray was very nice to her on the mic, she got the piece of the table, crowd gave her a big hand as Devon paraded her around, and the TNA employee almost gave her back to the wrong family. She was a lot more confident in the ring with Team 3D than I would have been. Team 3D took photos in the ring while Creed, Lethal, and Daniels (maybe more after we left) signed autographs around the ring. There were some wheelchair guys in line; I hope TNA hooks handicapped people up with something special since they can't into the ring.
Overall a good show, nothing outstanding but nothing even remotely bad. On a par with most WWE house shows I have been to, but with almost no mic work or comedy. TNA's only other time in Syracuse was a free show during the New York State Fair about 3 years ago. The show was in the convention center, across the street from the hockey arena, just rows of chairs on the floor. I'd say it was a little less than half full, so probably under 1000 people. Syracuse is not an overly attractive town BTW. Some bleachers, and/or closing off more of the room with temporary walls would have helped the atmosphere a lot, but the crowd was pretty into it. High school or college gymnasiums would be a better choice for house shows, even if it doesn't sound as impressive to run them.
Jeremy Borash said the crowd was so great tonight that the next time TNA comes to Syracuse it might be for a PPV, so I'm pretty psyched about that.

7/11 TNA RESULTS FROM HAMBURG, NY
by Mike Rickard and Kevin Hover @ 9:41 AM on 7/12/2009
Mike Rickard sent this report.
Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling came to the Hamburg, New York Agricultural Center last night for an action-packed show. While there weren't a lot of fans in attendance, TNA did a great job working the crowd and putting on a very entertaining evening.
Things got off to a shaky start when the audio went out but TNA's Jeremy Borash showed up and began interacting with the crowd. He introduced the opening match and by match two, the sound was on and everything was working fine.
1. Eric Young vs. Consequences Creed: Not too much love for Young but both guys put in a good match to open the show. Young gets the duke and Creed sells like Young shot him.
WINNER: Eric Young (by pinfall).
2. Angelina Love vs. Taylor Wilde: Both girls are gorgeous in person. Good match with lots of high-flying moves and brawling. Love looked like she had things wrapped up when Wilde surprised her with a roll-up.
WINNER: Taylor Wilde.
After the match, Jeremy Borash told the fans that TNA was happy to be in Hamburg (a suburb of Buffalo, NY). He promised backstage passes to the loudest fans as well as a big surprise after the main event. The lure of backstage passes fired up the crowd bigtime and the smalla audience sounded a lot bigger than they looked.
3. Prince Abdul Bashir vs. Christopher Daniels: I haven't seen Daniels in person in a while so I forgot just how awesome his moonsault is. The only drawback to this match was that Bashir was doing little more than punches and kicks throughout the night. Still, Daniels kept things exciting.
WINNER: Christopher Daniels
4. TNA World Tag Team Championship Match: Beer Money Inc. (Robert Roode & "Tennessee Cowboy" James Storm) (Champions) vs. Team 3-D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon): This match was very old school in that both teams took their time building up the audience's anticipation before starting things off. Lots of comedy spots including Beer Money getting into it with referee Earl Hebner, leading to Brother Ray putting on Hebner's striped shirt and reffing a match between Storm and Hebner. Team 3-D dominated the match but some clever (some might say illegal) double teams by the champions spelled the end for Team 3-D.
WINNERS: Beer Money Inc. (by pinfall).
After the match, Bashir went to celebrate with Beer Money but the champions wanted nothing to do with them. Instead, Storm sprayed beer in Bashir's face then rolled him into the ring where Team 3-D anxiously awaited him. Bashir went through the table, much to the delight of the audience. Team 3-D worked the crowd and gave away a piece of the broken table to a young fan.
5. X Division Title Match (Three Way Dance): "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs. Suicide vs. Homicide (Champion)- Jeremy Borash announced that a new champion had been crowned this week and that TNA fans could watch the title match this Thursday on Impact. Decent X match with Homicide retaining.
6. Legends Title Match: Samoa Joe vs. A.J. Styles: I was surprised to see Joe wrestle (especially in a singles match) given his injury. You couldn't tell Joe was injured by the performance he put in. During the match, Kurt Angle ran out and tried to interfere but Mick Foley came out to stop him. Excellent main event with Styles hitting the Pele followed by the Styles Clash for the win.
WINNER: A.J. Styles (by pinfall).
After the match, Mick Foley congratulated Styles on his victory. He thanked the fans for supporting TNA then informed the fans that they had a special birthday to celebrate-that of legendary wrestler (and Buffalo native) The Destroyer. Foley led the fans in singing Happy Birthday as the Destroyer made his way to ringside. Foley then thanked the Destroyer for paving the way for all of today's stars. The Destroyer thanked Foley and told Foley that he's lot better wrestler than he is a singer.
Following the birthday celebration, Jeremy Borash informed the fans that they didn't have enough backstage passes for the fans so they were bringing the wrestlers out to meet them. Some of the evening's stars showed up to do autographs and mingle with the fans. There was also an opportunity to get in the six sided ring and take a picture with a TNA star for twenty bucks.
This was a really fun evening. While there weren't a lot of matches, the wrestlers put on a good show and really knew how to interact with the fans during the matches. That's something that you just don't see a lot of anymore. TNA really went out of its way to make the fans feel appreciated. The only real drawback to tonight's show was the obnoxiously bright lights they used to light the stage. They were so bright that you couldn't see all of the action and taking pictures was a bit of a chore. Still, one of the most fun house shows I've been to in quite a while.
Kevin Hover sent this report.
I just got back from TNA Live in Hamburg (suburban Buffalo), NY. Here are this evening's results.
The show started off at 7:30 with someone who was NOT Jeremy Borash MCing the event. Two sentences in, they lost power to the mics. So he yelled out the usual do not videotape this instead. JB eventually took over the proceedings. The sound problem wasn't fixed until after the first match, so no music.
"Showtime" Eric Young defeated Consequences Creed at 7:22. Mixed reaction to EY, I guess his heel turn hasn't caught on yet.
Taylor Wilde defeated Angelina Love at 8:58. Referee Earl Hebner was getting the brunt of the abuse as per usual. The best chant going was "Earl's got a boner."
"The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels beat Sheik Abdul Bashir at 7:26 with the BME.
TNA World Tag Team Champions Beer Money successfully defended against Team 3D at 20:55. A very fun match the crowd was way into. Sheik Bashir again with interference helps Beer Money win, only to have Robert Roode send him to the wolves from Dudleyville waiting with a table for the 3D. Bubba and D-Von gave a kid in the audience a signed piece of said table.
Intermission
TNA X Division Champion Homicide successfully defended against Suicide and "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal, pinning Lethal at 7:49.
TNA Legends Champion AJ Styles defeated Samoa Joe at 9:50 with the Pele. Kurt Angle interfered, crotching AJ on the turnbuckle, which brought out Mick Foley to clear house of the TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
After the last match, Cactus brought Dick The Destroyer to the ring, and had the audience sing happy 78th. birthday to him. Foley also brought out Daniels, Taylor Wilde, and Creed to sign autographs at ringside, while AJ Styles took pictures with fans in the ring.

By Bryan Alvarez
Dave's Internet isn't working so I'm taking over.
Akiyama beat Belcher 29-28 with some weird scores up and down the board, including a 30-27 and one judge who gave Akiyama round one and two but not three.
Henderson vs. Bisping. Henderson super over, Bisping booed but not nearly as bad as at the weigh-ins. Hendo is taking him apart standing right now and the place is going nuts. Tons of "USA!" chants. Dan just stalking him. Bisping with a good kick and jab. Dan undeterred. Dam clinching against the fence, landing knees. Hideous takedown attempt by Bisping and people booed the hell out of him. Swinging for the fences as the round ended. 10-9 Dirty Dan.
More of the same in the second. Dan's nose is cut up. Lots of wild swinging here. Dan moving slower than he was in the first. Both guys hitting jabs here and there but no real power shots. And no sooner should I speak then Dan knocked him the f' OUT. That was scary and Bisping is down and not moving. Place went haywire. Medical team in the ring immediately. Bisping not moving. The first shot was the knockout and Dan landed a second HARD one on the ground after he was out. Bisping is up now. They're getting him out of the ring. He passed Quinton Jackson outside the cage and is asking "What happened?" Dan said the second shot was just to shut him up a little bit. He was asked about Anderson Silva and he said he was game for whatever and it was up to UFC.
GSP vs. Alves for 170-pound title. Showed Alves arriving earlier and he got zero reaction whatsoever, not even boos. Thiago, who barely looks like the same human that weighed in under his name yesterday, is pacing relentlessly. I'd say he's 190-195. Looks like they got rid of Holly Madison after round one. She's nowhere to be seen. She was so slow going around that they had to hold up the rounds to get her out of there. "GSP!" chants. GSP takes him down almost immediately. Alves tries to stand, taken back down. Big pop for that. Alves up, back down. GSP has his back, Thiago stands up. Great action. Crowd signing "OLE!" Clinch and Thiago avoids the takedown. Thiago lands some good shots and a leg kick but is quickly taken down. Thiago quickly back up. Clinching against the fence. 10-9 St. Pierre.
They did the breathing deal between rounds with GSP but no Vaseline this time. More "GSP!" chants. Thiago with some leg kicks. St. Pierre with leg kick, superman punch, takedown. Thiago flat on his back this time. He moves to half guard. GSP mounts but Thiago immediately back to guard. Thiago's face is bloody, looks like his mouth. St. Pierre looking to pass. Has gotten to half guard. Thiago back to guard. St. Pierre with hard shots. Thiago finally slips out, clinch against the fence. 20-18 St. Pierre.
Thiago pacing relentlessly again going into the third. Trading on the feet. St. Pierre tries a takedown and can't get it. Hard leg kick by Thiago. St. Pierre gets the takedown. Big pop every time. Doesn't do much down there and Thiago back up. Leg kick by Alves. Big exchange, no real damage from either guy. St. Pierre droped him with a shot and is trying to finish it on the ground, but Thiago survived and is back in the guard. More LOUD "GSP!" chants. There are sections where people are standing. 30-27 GSP.
LYOTO KARATE showed in the crowd and he gave a smile and thumbs up to big pop. Glove touch to start the fourth. Big takedown by GSP. GSP actively looking to pass and gets the mount. Thiago moves into half guard. Trying to stand up but GSP gets his back. In doing so he loses position and now he's in Thiago's guard. Actually got a pop. Thiago landing shots from the top. Thiago more active from the top than St. Pierre was in same position. St. Pierre is up. More "OLE!" Thiago tried a leg kick and got take down. St. Pierre more concerned about passing whereas Thiago was more content to just land blows. St. Pierre gets his back again and going for rear-naked choke. Can't get it and bell sounds. 40-36 St. Pierre. Thiago looks pissed going back to his corner.
Huge ovation going into the fifth. Slap hands to start the round. More "GSP!" Superman punch by St. Pierre. Thiago with a high kick, blocked. Jab and a takedown by St. Pierre. A few people marking out in the press area, which will get you chastised roundly by UFC officials. Thiago back up. The guy has lost every round but he is still going hard and won't quit. He should probably be going balls-out at this point since his only chance of victory is a finish, but he's not. St. Pierre with another takedown. This is like a Couture fight where the people don't care that it's not the best fight in the world as long as their guy is constantly taking the bad guy down. Thiago back up, Thiago back down, crowd pops. I wonder what the reaction would be if this involved someone other than St. Pierre. Thiago has a minute to finish this fight and he's laying on his back in half guard. Big pop with 40 seconds left in the fight. Everyone on their feet with ten seconds left. Thiago fighting to stand up but his broken back down at the bell. St. Pierre 50-45.
All 50-45 except for one judge who said 50-44.
GSP went over and shook hands with all of Thiago's cornermen afterwards. GSP said he thinks he tore his adductor ligament and he's in really bad pain. He looks fantastically uncomfortable. He did not want to be answering questions. Rogan asked what's next. He said Thiago was his toughest opponent so far and he didn't know what was next. He said the division was stacked so he'd sit down and talk to his manager and UFC. Rogan asked about Anderson Silva at 185. He said it was a question of timing. He said he walked around at 185 and wasn't that big for a welterweight. Said he was 185 tonight, maybe 184. Said he didn't fight to be champion since he was already champion, but before he thought about taking that fight he'd have to put on some weight.
They are doing main event next. Buffer just asked us to PLEASE NOT LEAVE because more fights (Jon Fitch vs. Paulo Thiago) would be taking place after the main event.
Brock out to enter Sandman. Mir got less of a reaction than I expected for ring intros and Brock got booed, but not overwhelmingly. Coming out to Enter Sandman. I'm looking over my shoulder waiting for Tim Flowers to hit me with a chair. I've never heard music played so loud at a UFC as I'm hearing it right now. Ring intros. Mir is in great shape and Brock is a monster. Not as monstrous as he's been, as he did almost no weightlifting when preparing for this fight (which is especially funny when you consider the vignette Mir did with the fake musclehead on the Countdown special). Brock looks very angry like he can't wait for this thing to begin and be over with. Buffer did not do the 360. Big ovation for Mir but not one of the biggest I've ever heard here. Buffer getting through the intros quickly to save time. Mixed reaction for Brock but mostly boos. HOLY SHIT, BUFFER DID THE FUCKING 360. And HERE WE GO.
Brock didn't rush in. Feeling out period. Brock took him down and Mir went straight for a kneebar. Didn't get it. Tried an armbar. Didn't get it. Brock is holding him down in Mir's half-guard. Crowd is booing. Brock is smothering him. Herb Dean is ref. If he stands Brock up here, Brock may kill him. But Lesnar needs to do something. He's now got a modified headlock and landed a few punches. Trying to trap an arm. Landing hard shots. Brock has now trapped an arm and is punching him in the face, but Mir slipped his arm out. Brock doing it again. This is like a schoolyard fight. Brock now punching the body from the same position. Mir's face already looking bad. Brock smothering him and grinding forearm into his face, just being mean. There are people booing. 10-9 Brock.
Mir's face looks like hell but he smiled at the camera. Round two. No glove touch. Brock caught a kick and took him down but let him out because he knew a guillotine was coming. They had a battle at the fence and Frank was doing OK but he got taken down again. Tons of boos as Brock started going to work. It's very clearly that Brock greatly respects his submissions because he is being ultra cautious. Crowd was chanting "STAND THEM UP!" And then moments later, as Brock was turning his face into hamburger meat, they started cheering, and then when Brock landed a giant series of punches and the ref stopped it they popped even bigger. Then they started booing like crazy, I guess realizing that he won the fight, and started booing like crazy, so he flipped them off. Rena Mero, who just gave birth, hit the ring and hugged her man. Definitely not a great fight, and there really isn't anything controversial to talk about.
Brock got in Mir's face afterwards. Rogan asked about it and he said Mir had a horseshoe up his ass, he'd been saying that for over a year, and he just took it out of the guy's ass and beat him over the head with it as promised. He was screaming at the fans to keep booing. He was so fucking great here. He said he was going home tonight and drinking a Coors Light. "A Coors Light," he said, "because Bud Light won't pay me!" Huge pop for that. Then he said, "And hell, I'm ready to get on top of my wife tonight. SEE Y'ALL LATER!" Place went nuts for that. This was one of Brock's greatest moments. Then they interviewed Mir and he was booed. He analyzed in detail, as he is wont to do, why he was eaten alive. It's bad news to let a guy that big grab your wrist, he said. Write that one down. They popped big when he was done.
All three judges gave round one to Lesnar 10-9.
Paulo Thiago vs. Jon Fitch. Nearly everyone is still here. They all listened to Buffer. Fitch took him down and Paul went for a guillotine. What an awesome end to the show that would be as we had three of the first four fights end the same way. It took him like a minute, but Fitch finally popped his head out. Fitch got behind him and laid in some punishment, but nothing too severe. He went for a kimura with seconds left but had nothing. Zero heat for this, by the way.
Fitch took him down again in the second. Paulo went for another guillotine. Feel like I already watched this round. I mean, virtually a repeat. Crowd was way more polite than I expected, but this is the hardest hardcore crowd they've perhaps ever drawn. Still only a few people trickling out. Fitch rode him like a horse for awhile. 20-18 Fitch. Fans are now leaving. They've seen enough.
Fight's over. Fitch takes the decision.

WWE Summerslam Update
Dana White Friday night pre-UFC 100 Q&A notes
By Bryan Alvarez
Talked about what a big deal Televisa was. 100 million people will see it. Opens up the market, new fans, new fighters coming up.
Doesn't want to do stadiums because fans wouldn't be able to see from way up high. Except Hawaii, which will be at Aloha Stadium.
Says he'll make a deal with Fedor if he wants to come over. "As soon as Affliction crashes and burns." People cheer, including people wearing Affliction shirts. Regarding fighting Atencio, says he (Dana) is 39, almost 40. "My days of fighting are long gone and far behind me." Says Atencio is a fucking idiot and a bad promoter. Says he's not going to waste one minute thinking about Atencio.
Fan asks about 135 and 145 in UFC. Dana says what's wrong with WEC? Says the only thing different is weight classes. Well, and payoffs. And exposure.
Says he's fine with competition. Never said anything negative about Strikeforce and never will. Does hate dipshits that blow through millions and millions and crash and burn. Says he likes almost everyone in this business. Butts heads with lots of guys like BJ, but he loves him. He says his relationship with Tito is probably the worst-ever in sports. "But that's about it." Says he really likes more everyone else.
Has talked about a Saturday Night Fights, but with WEC, UFC, PPVs, specials, etc. not now. He says one of these days when the talent level increases they'll do more fights, which scares him.
He says probably a Fight Night in Miami next year.
Was asked about unions. Says it doesn't happen in fighting sports for, well, the same reason it'll never happen in pro-wrestling. Says he would have no issues with it.
Guarantees Toronto next year, says it'll be biggest MMA event in North America.
Says they try to keep tickets cheap. Yes.
Says he likes Nick Diaz and we'll probably see him again in UFC.
Fan asks about UFC in Sacramento. Dana said they just left. Fans says we want UFC. Dana wants to know why everyone is shitting on WEC.
Was asked about big weight gap between 205 and 265. Clearly he has no plans of adding another one in between. "If you can make a lighter weight you better learn to cut," he said.
Asked about Vitor and noted he was under contract with someone else. Just said when the contract was up they were interested in him.
Talking about US vs. Canada, Mexico vs. Canada, Canada vs. UK, etc for future TUF seasons.
Regarding Japan, he said it's a very tough place to do business. He said they'll kill him if he ever goes to Japan. "There are some bad guys in the business over there." He said they bought Pride with intention of keeping it alive and they made that pretty much impossible. Said yes, we'll go back, just have to figure out how. "All these crooked fuckers are keeping us out of there right now."
"It's a fact, my friend, we're going to Scotland."
They asked about future Fan Expos. He said this was the first one and they wanted to see how it did. UFC Magazine was a test run to see if it would work and they're going to do it again. He said Expo was a success and they'd do it again, but not necessarily always in Vegas. He said doing stuff like this is easy in Vegas because the weather is always good and, well, it's Vegas.
