And interesting story has
developed as Bobby Roode was not at yesterday's fanfest and word began
circulating that there was an issue between him and management. Jason
Powell of ProWrestling.net reported last night that Roode's contract
with the company has expired, which is why he wasn't at TV or the
fanfest. There are stories going around the company that there could be
an issue with his work visa, since he is Canadian and also that TNA
simply waited until the last minute to start talking about a deal with
Roode. More should come out on the story as the day goes on. We can
note that as a few minutes ago, he was not at the building for tonight's
PPV. It will be interesting to see what happens here because if TNA
advertised Roode for the PPV knowing that he didn't have a valid
contract, that is just wrong on every level and they should be held
accountable for it.
Update:
Bobby Roode is in San Antonio,
TX. He and TNA have worked out the contract issues and he will be
working tonight's PPV. We have been told his contact expiring was Bruce
Prichard's fault, but the situation has been rectified.
